Miss Beautiful C.E.O and her system

Chapter 780: Get Out!

Chapter 780: Get Out!

Watching the changes in Kate's expression—grievance, anger, shame, helplessness, and the burning desire to know more—Ling Qingyu took great pleasure in tormenting her classmate.

If not for the fact that Kate had just been messing around in this room earlier, Ling Qingyu might have teased her physically as well.

Finally deciding to stop procrastinating, she pointed out several pieces of evidence. "Check your laptop. I've sent you more detailed files. Read them before we talk."

After speaking, Ling Qingyu began walking around the office, looking here and there without even considering the host's opinion.

Kate sighed and felt fortunate that this bastard still held some restraint. Honestly, she wondered why this woman had changed so much.

Back then, she used to be annoyed because Ling Qingyu ignored everything she did. Now that the latter paid attention to even the smallest details, she found herself irritated as well.

This classmate Ling was surely born just to piss her off to death.

Shaking her head, Kate hurried toward her desk.

Suddenly, Ling Qingyu spoke again.

"You know, Kate, you'd better watch who you sleep with as well. That guy—no matter how handsome or kind he appears—it could all be a pretense. No, it's an act."

"What do you mean?" Kate asked, a bad feeling rising in her chest.

"Just read the attachments and you'll understand."

"Honestly… I don't even dare touch my computer after seeing those bugs," Kate admitted hesitantly. She suspected that all her devices might be compromised.

"Don't worry. All of your devices have already been thoroughly hacked and checked by my team. Everything is safe and secure," Ling Qingyu said, trying to reassure her.

Unfortunately, her words had the opposite effect.

Instead of calming Kate, they nearly scared her into paranoia.

Kate felt the veins on her forehead throb as she forced out a reply through clenched teeth.

"That. Is. Very. Reassuring."

"Thank you, Kate." Ling Qingyu didn't mind the frustration in her tone.

Look at that. She had merely refused to meet earlier this evening, and now she was suffering endlessly because of it.

If not for the fact that Ling Qingyu had practically saved her life, Kate would have fought her tooth and nail already.

Suppressing her anger, Kate opened the files and began reading them, hoping the information would extinguish the flames of vengeance inside her.

Of course, deep down, she was genuinely grateful. Ling Qingyu had ignored all politeness just to warn her and pull her out of danger.

And the more she read, the more frightened she became.

Soon, her clothes were soaked with sweat, adding to the moisture left from her earlier intense "exercise."

Within one month, she would either be dead or completely ruined.

How could things have reached this point?

Meanwhile, Ling Qingyu studied Kate's figure and silently lamented the woman's enchanting allure.

Her proportions and curves were excellent; it was obvious Kate maintained strict discipline with regular exercise.

Alas, this woman was as straight as titanium—far beyond any possibility of bending her. Ling Qingyu snickered to herself.

At the same time, she began contemplating something else.

Should shechoose Kate as her agent in Country A, perhaps even extending that responsibility to the Northern Tree and Southern Bush continents?

It wouldn't be long before her group expanded into those regions, and she would need trustworthy partners.

But seeing how oblivious Kate had been to the daggers of betrayal approaching her, Ling Qingyu realized it stemmed from one thing—Kate's blind trust in the people around her.

Hopefully, she wouldn't develop crippling trust issues later if they ended up working together.

That was the real reason Ling Qingyu hesitated—aside from simply helping a fellow classmate. Anyway, she had plenty of time to grow a relationship.

Furthermore, Ling Qingyu had seen Kate's clear talent and efficient use of resources. If not for the extra trust she had placed in the mentor who once helped her—only to suffer because of it—Kate would have had no real problems.

Not to mention, by aiding Kate during this deadly crisis, Ling Qingyu was also laying the groundwork for future cooperation.

"Don't worry. Even in the worst-case scenario, I can personally inject funds to stabilize your situation if your shareholders withdraw maliciously to target you. Both public and private equity," Ling Qingyu said.

"Thank you, Ling," Kate replied, her eyes filled with complicated emotions. "I don't know what to say next. What do you want in return?"

"Sixty percent of the shares under my control if I get involved," Ling Qingyu answered.

Kate grimaced at the number. In business, nothing was ever charity. The fact that Ling Qingyu had helped this far instead of exploiting the situation and taking over outright suggested she still held good morals.

She knew Ling Qingyu's offer was actually very fair. Still, she disliked relying on someone else's goodwill to determine the fate of her enterprise.

"Alright," Kate exhaled and accepted the reality. "I won't argue. It's fair enough. But I want control over the decisions of my enterprise. You can influence me, suggest solutions, or propose ideas—but the final decision must be mine. At most, you can have limited veto power for one budget year each cycle."

"Interesting bargaining, Kate. I expected you to negotiate the price down a little," Ling Qingyu chuckled.

"Ling, I know it's unfair to you, but that's my bottom line. I don't want to throw away what I've built or lose ownership," Kate said, her eyes pleading desperately. "I know it's an unfair exchange for you. Trust me, I can recover and return tenfold of whatever you invest in the future."

She truly had nothing else to offer in such a desperate situation. Everything had seemed peaceful before, but Ling Qingyu's detailed files had shattered that fragile illusion of security.

"Oh, I believe in your skills and your future, Kate. No doubt about that," Ling Qingyu replied with a smile. "Don't worry. I don't mind. It's a pleasure to help a friend out."

She paused briefly.

"That amount of money means nothing to me. In fact, I'm impressed by your honesty, Kate. The willingness to admit your limits."

Ling Qingyu shrugged at what she considered a "mediocre amount." Even if tens of billions were required, she could easily supplement it through Athena's operations if she didn't want to touch her own bank accounts.

There was no shortage of dark money in the world—laundered funds, stolen cryptocurrency, corruption, scams, and countless other criminal profits. Borrowing a portion of it occasionally and putting it to good use hardly seemed wrong.

Of course, she would also spend some of it helping people in need.

Rob the rich and help the poor.

"Ling…"

"Call me Qingyu. Ling is my surname in our culture," Ling Qingyu said with a smile as she walked behind Kate's chair.

Kate nodded and straightened her posture. She flinched when Ling Qingyu's hands rested on her shoulders and began rubbing gently.

Then—

"Ling… I mean Qingyu, what happened?" Kate asked, glancing back and noticing Ling Qingyu had suddenly frozen.

Ling Qingyu wanted to cry but had no tears.

Seeing Kate looking wilted and vulnerable had stirred a brief urge to comfort her, which prompted the massage. Well… that, and the temptation to casually touch the enchantress.

"Crap. The longer I stay here, the more suffocated I feel."

Kate burst into laughter, genuinely amused by Ling Qingyu's adorable reluctance to touch anything in the room.

"Qingyu, you don't need to overreact."

"Overreact, my ass. Fortunately, I don't feel any liquid… eww." Ling Qingyu examined her palm with disgust.

Kate facepalmed and decided she should clean herself up first. The conversation would go nowhere in her current state and with Ling Qingyu's pettiness.

"Alright, I'll go wash up in the restroom. Just wait outside and ask my secretaries to entertain you."

"You have a bathroom here?"

"Yeah, why not? It's my office—my private space."

"You guys didn't wreck in that place recently too, right?"

"Qingyu… Get out!"

Waiting for Kate to finish her bath, Ling Qingyu hummed softly while sipping the tea delivered by the secretaries, whose eyes were filled with curiosity about her identity.

She had no intention of satisfying their curiosity. Still, she had managed to ask earlier how Kate had ended up rolling around in the sheets with that man.

She hadn't lied to Kate about why she shouldn't trust him—the man had indeed participated in the plot. Although there was no direct evidence linking him to the bugs planted in Kate's office, Ling Qingyu still convinced her classmate to stay away from him with reasonable suspicions.

Speaking of Kate's romantic life, Ling Qingyu was utterly speechless. As the physically weaker gender, this woman still dared to play around with multiple men.

In modern terms, she perfectly fit the definition of a Sea Queen—extremely polyamorous, and at a rather high level at that.

Fortunately, Kate wasn't the type to bully the weak or threaten others for sex, even if the previous man had been her subordinate. There had never been any coercion or transactional exchange.

That was the only complaint Ling Qingyu had regarding Kate's private life. But who was she to judge others? Seeking pleasure and desire were instinctive. Kate lived happily, freely venting her desires, while still working efficiently and achieving success.

She had to admit that, despite being romantically adventurous, Kate wasn't emotionally naïve at all. Sweet words alone would never sway her.

Soon, the door opened. Ling Qingyu craned her neck to look and stood up.

The figure was still slightly damp, dressed in fresh clothes—an evening dark-blue tulle dress with a slit along the leg. Sensual and beautiful.

"Satisfied now, Qingyu?" Kate rolled her eyes and asked.

"Very much," Ling Qingyu nodded and whistled. "You are gorgeous, Kate."
