Mercenary’s War

Chapter 2171 - 2148: Counter-Encirclement

Chapter 2171 - 2148: Counter-Encirclement

The enemy’s intention was to drive straight into Satan’s crowd, firing at close range to disrupt Satan’s formation. As soon as the formation was disturbed, suppressed enemies rushing here would spell total disaster.

They’re all desperados, none fearing death, encountering the tough, daring to play a life-risking strategy.

However, Gao Yang was unsure who he was fighting fiercely with; they were certainly not from the battlefield, rather resembling gang members skilled in chaotic fights or mercenaries. Anyway, they were unaware there was a drone hovering overhead.

With a drone in the sky, the high perspective offered a comprehensive view of the surroundings. If Satan hadn’t timely detected the enemy’s vehicle charge tactic towards the heart, it could have been surprisingly effective. But since Satan foresaw and prepared for it, the charge was doomed, like a moth flying into fire, jumping into a fire pit.

Unable to precisely aim from afar with a rifle, Gao Yang wielded a Shotgun and fired at cars just a dozen meters away effortlessly; no harder than shooting skeet, even if his hands were shaky, it didn’t matter.

Gao Yang aimed at the drivers, firing three booming shots, splattering blood on the glass of three cars. At such close range, the shotgun blasted heads apart, and the blood couldn’t help but scatter.

Gao Yang focused on the drivers, while others furiously sprayed bullets. Although the enemy intended to drive up and open fire as soon as they arrived, they did not get the chance. Sure, the guns could fire, but hitting the target was impossible and thus useless.

"How many vehicles?"

After firing five shots, Gao Yang quickly reloaded, impatiently shouting. Jansen immediately replied, "Six! Six vehicles! Turn past the wall and you’ll see... careful..."

Jansen wanted to warn that the enemy had already disembarked when Gao Yang charged forward.

Turning around the corner, Gao Yang fired continuously, definitely making his semi-automatic shotgun shoot like it was fully automatic, just as accurately because he had chosen reduced load ammunition beforehand.

Reduced load bullets had less recoil, although less powerful, Gao Yang made up for it with precision. He aimed for heads, ensuring even less powerful shots could incapacitate enemies instantly.

After six consecutive shots, Gao Yang didn’t reload but immediately withdrew, holding the shotgun in his left hand while pulling a pistol from his right holster, probing forward, revealing half his head, firing at the remaining enemy with his pistol.

All disembarked were taken out by Gao Yang; those yet to disembark but visible to him were also eliminated. Nine people in three cars got eight killed by Gao Yang alone; one rolled aside after disembarking, shooting wildly under the car, beyond Gao Yang’s sight and penetration power to finish them.

But what Gao Yang couldn’t hit, others could. Already charging forward, Peter took aim at the sole enemy, firing a precise shot, ending this counterattack.

Peter looked at Gao Yang in surprise; Gao Yang wielded his pistol, darting past the corner, loudly asking, "You want to say I’m awesome? Don’t worry. You’ll soon adapt to my fighting style."

Peter gave a thumbs up, saying, "Admiration!"

After checking, confirming no survivors, Gao Yang immediately used the intercom: "Big Bird, can you drive around to the enemy’s rear?"

"Possible, two intersections away, a section of curved road to bypass, but you can reach behind the enemy, road clear!"

Gao Yang promptly replied, "Big Bird, guide us. We’ll imitate the enemy, drive behind them."

After speaking, Gao Yang waved, saying to the four approaching him, "Us few are enough, get in the car, sneak behind them!"

The enemy’s vehicles hadn’t even stalled yet. Gao Yang quickly gestured to Li Jin Fang to share a car, Eileen and the others took another. Five people got in and reversed swiftly, crashing into a street corner car, then turned and charged toward the enemy.

Jansen on the intercom instructed, "Go straight, left at the second intersection ahead, then another left and you’re there!"

Jansen watched the driving direction guide them. In the passenger seat, Gao Yang kept the door open with his right foot, swiftly reloaded the Shotgun ammo, clutching two bullets, and asked, "Forgot to ask, how many enemies left? Rough distribution?"

"About forty enemies remain scattered around. They’re suppressed, but moving from behind will be more dangerous; around twenty are in shooting-impossible positions; the rest lie flat, unable to rise."

"Understood, conversation over."

With ease, Gao Yang turned to Li Jin Fang driving, saying, "Though tough, that’s street brawl level, not challenging, around twenty, no big deal."

Li Jin Fang fiercely replied, "Only you’d say that, careful not to get thrown off. Prepare to disembark and shoot!"

After speaking, Li Jin Fang suddenly turned the steering wheel, stopping abruptly after left-turning, and both he and Gao Yang immediately jumped out to start shooting.

Once the car turned, the enemy was just forty to fifty meters away. Gao Yang and his team wanted to leverage their gunmanship, unlike the enemy driving directly into crowds, disembarking to open fire while charging.

Forty to fifty meters was slightly far for the shotgun but within range. Yet, Gao Yang didn’t shoot, sprinting ahead with four people covering him; at worst coverage, he could shoot in time.

High skill brings boldness, what others dare not attempt, Gao Yang did with ease. But upon sprinting, he realized something felt off – weak. Despite sleeping several times totaling forty hours, he felt soft, legs weak when running.

Gao Yang slowed down. When the enemy realized they had someone behind, turning their guns, he reached his absolute kill zone, ensuring hits.

Whether strafing while running sideways, staying for shooting, or newly emerged from the street corner were summed up with one word: death.

Though firing not too fast, Gao Yang replenished bullets while shooting. By the time all enemies were dealt with, the cartridge also filled.

Five people charged, severing enemy retreats, reversing the wrap to encircle them. Gao Yang raised his gun vigilantly, whispered urgently, "We’re moving out, stay alert!"
