The disaster at Shen Corporation is just beginning. You should unite with the Shen Family to overcome this difficulty together. "So we should help Shen Corporation now?" yet another added. "Are we looking to die?"

Just then, the chubby man with the slicked-back hair spoke up. "There’s only one way to save Shen Corporation now."

Shen Songshan and Shen Qilin’s eyes lit up. "Director Wang, please tell us!" Shen Songshan said anxiously.

"The Shen Family must step down," Director Wang stated. "Only if the Shen Family withdraws completely can Shen Corporation be saved."

Withdraw?

Shen Songshan and Shen Qilin almost lost their composure. Shen Corporation had started from a single pawnshop and, after generations of effort, had grown to its current scale. They were extremely unwilling to relinquish their family’s legacy.

"If your family withdraws now and sells its shares, you can take the money and develop overseas. But if you stubbornly cling to Shen Corporation, it will only lead to mutual destruction," one shareholder warned.

"Once Shen Corporation goes bankrupt, the Shen Family will be hounded by banks and countless investors. If it goes to court, all your family’s assets will be seized, and you’ll face prison time for being unable to repay your debts."

"Shen Songshan, you have to withdraw, whether you want to or not. You can’t let your actions cause the rest of us to lose money as well."

"By withdrawing now, you can at least save face. If all the shareholders and board members have to vote to kick you out, it will be ugly for everyone."

"Shen Songshan, when you convinced us to invest, we signed a share repurchase agreement. If we were to demand that you repurchase our shares now, your family would be utterly ruined."

The shareholders began to clamor, demanding the Shen Family withdraw from Shen Corporation. Besieged on all sides, they were now enemies of the world. The expressions on Shen Songshan and Shen Qilin’s faces turned exceedingly grim.

"Fine, the Shen Family will withdraw!" Shen Songshan said, looking as if he were half-dead. "I will call a press conference this afternoon to publicly announce our withdrawal from Shen Corporation."

In truth, Shen Songshan was clear in his mind that there was no benefit to staying. On the contrary, Shen Corporation would only drag the family down. By withdrawing now while their shares were still valuable, they could sell them off quickly. This would give the Shen Family the cash flow to recruit more people and strengthen their forces. Just then, Xia Xue approached, huffing. "Ye Xiu, I need to talk to you."

"Alright, let’s talk in the car," Ye Xiu suggested.

So, Xia Xue followed Ye Xiu and An Dongye into the car. The moment she was inside, Ye Xiu started the engine.

"Where are you taking me? Didn’t you say we would talk in the car?" Xia Xue asked anxiously.

"I’m taking you to catch someone cheating," Ye Xiu said playfully.

During his secret meeting with Xia Dehe, Ghost Doctor had texted him the full confessions from Sister Han and the sniper. He now knew who had used Xia Xue in an attempt to kill him, and who had secretly built an intelligence network to train a large number of assassins.
