Chapter 300: Resolving the Crisis in a Snap

Chapter 300: Resolving the Crisis in a Snap

"Hide?" Ye Xiu chuckled. "Two mere Great Grandmasters are hardly enough to make me hide."

Xia Dehe and the members of the Heavenly Dragon Sect exchanged glances. This doctor’s bragging truly knows no bounds.

Only An Dongye, who was watching the spectacle from within the crowd, didn’t think Ye Xiu was boasting. She knew just how strong he was.

"Such arrogant words. Are you Ye Xiu, the Xuanse Medicine King?" Fu Sanshan asked with a sneer.

Ye Xiu ignored him. Instead, he looked with fascination at the Bronze Sword in Chai Wenjin’s hand, clicking his tongue in appreciation. "A fine sword. A truly ancient and magnificent sword!"

"Of course!" Chai Wenjin responded proudly. "This sword is named Zhan Lu. It was forged by the ancestral swordsmith Ou Yezi, who poured his heart and soul into creating it as a Divine Weapon for the Former Emperor."

Ye Xiu was taken aback. "Are you sure this sword was given to the Former Emperor by Ou Yezi?"

"Of course," Chai Wenjin replied with absolute certainty.

Ye Xiu almost burst out laughing. "If I remember correctly, when Ou Yezi died, the Former Emperor’s grandfather hadn’t even been born. How could he possibly have presented this sword to the Former Emperor?"

"What?" Chai Wenjin was stunned. "That can’t be right. That’s what the man who sold it to me said."

"If you had so much as a kindergarten diploma, you wouldn’t have been swindled," Ye Xiu said.

Chai Wenjin’s face flushed crimson. He had never been so embarrassed in his entire life.

Xia Dehe and everyone from the Heavenly Dragon Sect finally witnessed the pinnacle of courting death. A mere doctor, daring to slap a Great Grandmaster in the face in public... He must be tired of living.

"Ye Xiu, you dare to embarrass Old Chai in public? Do you no longer wish to live?" Fu Sanshan asked coldly.

"Old Fu, stop wasting words with him. Just kill everyone here, quickly. The news that I was swindled must not get out," Chai Wenjin urged.

"Fine," Fu Sanshan said. "You keep Xia Dehe busy. After I’ve killed everyone else, I’ll join you to finish him off."

"Agreed!" Chai Wenjin nodded.

Upon hearing this, the expressions of Xia Dehe and everyone from the Heavenly Dragon Sect grew grim.

"Wait!" As Chai Wenjin and Fu Sanshan were about to make their move, Ye Xiu spoke, his voice icy. "I advise you both not to do anything foolish. Leave Green Leaf Island immediately, or you will face the consequences."

Xia Dehe and all the members of the Heavenly Dragon Sect were speechless. He’s still posturing at a time like this?

"You ignorant fool. Once I’ve slaughtered the Heavenly Dragon Sect, I’ll take you to heal my grandson. After that, I’ll kill you," Fu Sanshan said, completely dismissing Ye Xiu. "Old Chai, let’s move!"

"Right!" Chai Wenjin swung his sword and charged at Xia Dehe. At that same moment, Fu Sanshan rushed toward the members of the Heavenly Dragon Sect.

Seeing this, Xia Dehe shouted, "All members of the Heavenly Dragon Sect, listen! I’ll hold off Chai Wenjin! All Eighth Grade Grandmasters, restrain Fu Sanshan! Everyone else, take Divine Doctor Ye and escape immediately—"

Before he could finish, an unbelievable scene unfolded. He and all the members of the Heavenly Dragon Sect stared in shock as Chai Wenjin, who was attacking Xia Dehe, and Fu Sanshan, who was rushing the crowd, suddenly lifted off their feet. They flew through the air toward Ye Xiu, their necks landing right in his grasp.

"I gave you a chance, but you didn’t take it," Ye Xiu said coldly, gripping both of their necks.

"You... you, you, you... are you a War God?" Fu Sanshan’s face turned deathly pale, his voice trembling.

Chai Wenjin had lost all of his artistic composure, his face white with fear.

"I heard every insult you threw at me before I came out. I then gave you a chance, and you threw it away. Therefore, you must die!" With a sickening CRACK, Ye Xiu snapped Fu Sanshan’s neck and casually tossed his body aside. He then fixed his cold gaze on Chai Wenjin. "Do you want to live, or do you want to die?"

Chai Wenjin took a deep breath, struggling to remain calm. "If you spare me, there must be a condition, right?"

"Give me the sword, and you live. Or I kill you and take the sword myself," Ye Xiu stated coldly.

"The sword is yours!" Chai Wenjin made his choice without a moment’s hesitation.

Ye Xiu released his neck, took the sword, and said icily, "Get lost!"

As if granted a great amnesty, Chai Wenjin hoisted Fu Sanshan’s corpse over his shoulder and fled for his life.

Xia Dehe and everyone from the Heavenly Dragon Sect stared in stunned silence at Ye Xiu, who was now calmly admiring the sword. They were utterly shaken by his power.

The Xuanse Medicine King, with medical skills unmatched in the world... and he’s also a War God... What a monster! No wonder he dares to openly challenge the Shen Family!

"Divine Doctor Ye, you saved me and everyone from the Heavenly Dragon Sect! Please accept my deepest gratitude!" Xia Dehe cried out as he came to his senses. He dropped to his knees and kowtowed deeply to Ye Xiu.

The other members of the Heavenly Dragon Sect followed suit, kneeling and kowtowing to express their thanks.

"Everyone, please get up," Ye Xiu said, quickly helping Xia Dehe to his feet and gesturing for the others to rise. "It was nothing. There’s no need for this."

The crowd rose. The way they looked at Ye Xiu was now completely different. Before, they had welcomed him grandly because of his status as the Xuanse Medicine King, an important figure, and felt honored by his visit. Now, however, their gratitude and awe came from the very depths of their hearts.

"Ye Xiu, where’s Ye Xiu? Ye Xiu, get out here!" Just then, a furious Xia Xue ran out, her face flushed as she shouted.

The members of the Heavenly Dragon Sect were dumbstruck.

"Sister, you... you can walk?" Xia Zhiwei exclaimed in delight.

Xia Dehe and the others also beamed with joy, amazed that Ye Xiu had truly healed Xia Xue’s legs.

"Huh?" Xia Xue paused, only then realizing that she had run out on her own two feet. I can actually walk again?

However, she felt no joy. Fuming, she scanned her surroundings until her gaze locked onto Ye Xiu. She furiously stormed up to him. "You tell me, did you or did you not..."

Realizing there were many people around, she suddenly stopped, pulled Ye Xiu aside, and asked in a low, furious voice, "You tell me, when you were treating me, did you... did you take liberties with me?"

"I did," Ye Xiu nodded.

"You..." Xia Xue’s eyes widened, shocked that he would admit it so bluntly.

When she had woken up and found herself still clothed, she had breathed a sigh of relief. That’s why she had run out to ask Ye Xiu if he had taken advantage of her while she was unconscious. But he had just admitted it!

She asked in a panic, "Then what... what did you do to me?"

"I did everything that needed to be done," Ye Xiu shrugged.

Previously, Xia Xue had tried to kill him. According to his temperament and principles, she should have died. However, out of respect for the Heavenly Dragon Sect, he couldn’t kill her. So, he decided to merely frighten her.

"You..." Xia Xue’s pretty face turned white as a sheet. Two lines of hot tears rolled down her cheeks, her expression a mask of humiliation. She glared at Ye Xiu and choked out, "You... you can’t tell anyone, especially Shen Tianfang. You mustn’t tell him."

Ye Xiu deliberately ignored her plea and walked over to Xia Dehe. "Sect Leader Xia, I would like to speak with you privately."
