Chapter 493: Do You Have Feelings For Fabian?

Chapter 493: Do You Have Feelings For Fabian?

(Author’s POV)

"Myra, after breakfast, we will head to the police station to file the complaint," William spoke, his tone serious.

Myra pursed her lips and said, "Dad, can we go a bit later~ .... I~ ..." before she could complete, she was interrupted by Wendy, her voice loud, "No way, sis. Are you going to let him go just like that? Those fake tears, shallow apology, all are just a hoax. He is just trying to gain sympathy."

Myra rubbed her temples, "Wendy, it’s not like that. I didn’t change my mind. I just said we can go later. Meaning, sometime in the afternoon," Myra explained. "After breakfast, I have plans with Fabian. So, I will be heading to his house."

Wendy’s furrowed brows relaxed as she clicked her tongue and mumbled, "Sorry, I got a little carried away, didn’t I?"

"Yeah, you totally did," Yelena whispered. She then looked at Myra and asked, "Plans? So early? What’s up? Hmm?"

"Don’t know~ .... he just said we were going somewhere," Myra mentioned casually as she chugged down her freshly squeezed orange juice. She got up from the chair, saying, "I’m done. Need to get ready," then went upstairs.

Another two minutes later, Nora finished her breakfast and followed Myra to her room. She knocked gently and stepped inside. Myra was busy choosing what to wear.

For days, she has been wearing those dull, lifeless, hospital clothes, so she wanted to don something bright and cheerful, to lift her mood. She was looking at herself in the mirror, holding two dresses. One was a pastel yellow mid length A-line dress, and another one was a turquoise dress with tiny baby pink flower patterns.

"What should I wear? This one or~ this one~ ...." Myra raised both the dresses and asked.

"The left one~ ...." Nora suggested as she settled on the bed.

"Good choice. I was thinking the same thing," Myra muttered, then hung the yellow one back in her closet. She started to get ready, seemingly excited. Nora observed her unusual behaviour. In her memory, Myra would only react this way when she was comfortable with someone. She looked like a girl excited to go on a date with her lover.

After much contemplation and biting her inner cheek, Nora decided to inquire, "Myra~ ...."

"Umhmm~ ...." she hummed, her entire focus on the zip of her turquoise dress.

"You and Fabi~ .... Prof. Stephens seems quite close," she started.

"Yup, ever since we came to Esteria, no, even before that, Fabian has been helping me a lot. Not just me, he takes care of mom, dad and Wendy too. And very respectful," Myra chimed as she gently combed her hair, to not affect the bandage.

"So, you knew him before coming to Esteria?" Nora asked, her curiosity shooting up.

"Uhh~ ... yeah. He, alongside Mr. Yates senior were the first one who recommended me for the Red Stone scholarship program," Myra said. "He really is a great person."

Nora observed her friend’s body language, feeling a bit uncomfortable. All of a sudden, she recalled the incident where Brave had called Myra his mate, the very night his wolf went brisk. Of course, at that time, everyone, including her, had thought Raw was confused. Plus, Myra is a full fledged human being, so it was next to impossible.

’But what if~ .... by a stroke of luck, Myra is Brave’s fated. His second chance mate. After all, he was the one who found Myra when she got kidnapped. He was the one who got her out. There has to be some sort of connection between the two,’ Aura spoke, her tone peculiar.

’But~ .... she can’t be,’ Nora was hesitant. Yes, if one of her brothers and Myra bond as chosen mates, that wouldn’t be difficult. She would be happy for both of them. But a human and a Lycan wolf as fated mates, that was something unheard of. More than that, it would harm Myra. After all, werewolves are a powerful species, and Lycans top the chart even in that. The power balance would be completely off.

’Remember, when Brave was in a coma last year. Nothing or no one could wake him up, but only Myra’s voice could bring him back to his feet. He woke up because of her,’ Aura added confidently. ’If they weren’t fated, would that have happened? Think about it.’

Nora’s eyebrows twitched as she tried to connect the dots. Aura went on, "I could tell by the way Fabian treats Myra, he likes her for sure. But whether Myra reciprocates his feelings or not, I can’t discern yet. In any case, I can’t~ ... we can’t let them be together. For Brave’s sake.’

"Nor, why are you so quiet all of a sudden? What’s on your mind?" Myra asked, sensing her friend hadn’t spoken anything for a while.

"Ahh~ ... nothing much. I was just thinking~ ...." She licked her lips and asked, "Are you and he, by chance, in a relationship?"

Myra blinked multiple times, caught off guard, "What are you saying? We aren’t," she said.

Nora sighed in relief, then proceeded, "Then~ .... do you have any feelings~ .... Any romantic feelings towards Prof. Stephens?" She looked at Myra with anticipation.

"I~ ...." Myra was about to reply when her phone started buzzing. "Ohh, it’s Fabian’s call." She at once picked up the call, "Hello, Fabian."

"Myra, it’s nine. You didn’t forget, right?" Fabian asked, trying to sound his usual casual self. But inwardly, the butterfly prancing inside his stomach was making him nervous as well as excited.

"Ummhmm, I was just on my way," Myra glanced at Nora and said, "I need to go now. He is waiting, bye." She then exited her room. Nora stared at her receding figure with a mixed feeling.

Aura was shouting, growling inside her, telling her, ’You need to stop her, Nora. You have to stop her.’ But Nora neither replied nor followed with her advice. Once Myra was completely out of the house, she just mumbled, "Let’s wait and see. I don’t want to interfere and ruin everything."
