Mated To My Best Friend's Lycan Alpha Brothers

Chapter 492: Not Much Time Left

Chapter 492: Not Much Time Left

"Where were you?" Dion asked, his tone bone chilling.

He was standing in the quiet hallway of the Grand Opulence’s top floor. His right foot planted firmly on the wall, while his left foot was rooted on the floor. Lifting his eyes lazily, deliberately, he stared at Yona.

Yona, who was caught clearly off guard, jolted. She then gulped down nervously, straightened her posture and uttered, "Young~ .... Young Alpha, I just~ ... I just went out to run some errand."

"Errand, you say? What kind of errand is it that you left your position unattended for more than an hour, hahh?" Dion scoffed at her stupid excuse.

At some point in the night, he had come to the hotel to talk to Sara about sending Yona back to Kimberg, but when he arrived, she wasn’t there. He was well aware of Yona’s nature. She wasn’t someone who would go back so easily; she is like a leech. Then, where has she gone to, in the middle of the night?

At first, he was about to mind link her and ask, but then halted his plan and decided to wait for her instead. Dion strode towards her, his gaze penetrating. Yona, frightened, backed away, her steps fumbling. Once she had no place to escape, Dion closed in the distance and raised her chin with his fingers, "What? Cat got your tongue? Caught by surprise? Can’t find any excuse now?"

"Young Alpha~ .... it isn’t an excuse. When we were on our way here, I saw a sweet shop selling Luna’s favourite Pavlova, so I went there to buy it. The traffic was bad, so that’s why I was late," she said, showing him the bag in her hand. "Luna’s sleep schedule has been on and off lately due to pack matters as well as handling cooperation businesses, so she craves sweet things a lot these days." She worded smoothly, her eyes brimming with confidence.

Dion was literally boring his golden greens in her skull, his hands on her shoulder tightening. But Yona’s expression didn’t change in the slightest. In the end, with a squeeze, he pushed her and withdrew his hand, "A luxury hotel like this can bring whatever mother wants. Don’t overdo it." He created some distance, turned around and added, "Mother is resting now. The matter regarding your return. I will discuss it with her first thing in the morning. So, don’t unpack your bags yet. Early morning, you will be going back." After saying his piece, he walked off.

Yona followed his retreating figure until it disappeared. Then she ran her fingers through her hair in frustration and let out a heavy sigh, "Tch~~ ... I almost got caught~ .... need to be careful." She then checked the time on her phone. It was nearly two in the morning, then she mumbled to herself, "There isn’t much time left. Everything is going according to plan. At such a crucial time, I can’t go back."

"Uhhh~ .... wh~at are you doing so early in the morning?" Nora murmured, rubbing her groggy eyes, her voice throaty. She was talking to Myra, who was up and about to start a new day, looking fresh.

"I have been lying in the hospital for ages. So, I thought I would go out for a walk," Myra said casually as she tied her shoelaces. "It’s the weekend. You can get some more sleep, Nor," She gave her a small smile and spoke.

"Walk? I’ll come too," Yelena started to get up, but Myra pulled the quilt over her. "No need, Nora. I know what you are worried about. I ain’t going too far. I will just walk a small distance, not far away from home, okay." She explained. "You must be tired, so get some more rest."

"No, no, no~ .... I’m coming with you," Nora insisted. "I need to go on a run as well. Training, you see." She got out of bed at once. Myra shook her head and mumbled, "Then meet me downstairs, hmm."

When she was ascending the stairs, she remembered that last night Wendy had switched off her phone for obvious reasons. She quickly took it out and powered it back on. The moment she did, the notification bell kept chiming endlessly, relentlessly. She scrolled through it, and just like Wendy and Yelena had predicted last night, various comments were mentioning of Myra’s name. A lot of people have messaged her personally. Some were from her classmates, some were unknown numbers, while a few professors had texted her as well.

Somewhere amongst those numerous pop ups, there were messages from the Everests brothers as well as Fabian. Myra could already feel drained out by all this and sighed in exhaustion. She was about to keep the phone back in her pocket when she recalled Fabian’s words, "I’ll text you."

’He did say he had something urgent to talk about,’ thinking like this, she decided to check Fabian’s message. There was a series of messages which read:

"Myra, I watched the video just now. Are you okay?"

"Myra, you don’t need to listen to his words. You do what you see right."

"Hang in there, call me if you need to talk."

"Tomorrow morning, at nine, meet me outside my residence. We will finish our unfinished talk then. Also, we would be going somewhere. So be prepared."

"Good night~ ...."

Just when she was about to reply, asking him where they would be going, Nora’s voice came from behind her, "Myra??? Why are you standing here?"

"Ahhh~ ... nothing. Just reading through some of the texts. She quickly typed an ’okay’ and locked the screen.

"You should stay away from social media for a few days," Nora suggested. She had read most of the comments. Though a large majority was in Myra’s support, they were expecting her to be the bigger person and to forgive Nigel because he had realized his mistakes.

Quite a few were subtly blaming her for not living within her means and now suffering for the consequences of her own actions. Though Brave had already talked to his team and taken care of that, she didn’t want Myra to get upset even in the slightest.

"Young master~ .... Nigel Long has returned to his house. But~ ..." Gunnar paused.

"But~ ..." Fabian asked, clearly fatigued. He hadn’t slept a wink all night. He was investigating Nigel’s matter, plus~ .... Worried about Myra. And, he was also working on his grand proposal.

"But there is no sign of his parents. Nor is there any trace of the person who took them. It is as if they went voluntarily," Gunnar reported.

Fabian was about to give orders when his phone chimed in. It was a text from Myra. As soon as he realized, the tiredness in his eyes vanished as he opened it and read, "Okay," followed by a thumbs up emoji.

He got up from his chair at once and said, "Just keep an eye on Nigel for today. I have a more important thing lined up. I don’t want any hindrance. As for him, I will deal with him tomorrow." A giddy smile shone on his lips as he walked out of the room.
