Chapter 905

Seeing that his attack wasn’t about to penetrate the defense, a ki platform swiftly appeared beneath his feet, launching him into the air like a trampoline.

The maneuver was just in time, as multiple bolts of lightning slammed into the exact spot where he had knelt moments earlier.

From his vantage point above, the man’s jaws tightened.

He hauled his sword downward, unleashing a massive ki slash toward the group.

Seeing the impending strike, the young mages all immediately darted in different directions at the precise moment the attack cleaved the earth, turning it into a dark abyss.

Rolling on the ground and springing back up, Scarlet swung her hand into the air.

Her dragon flew forward with impressive velocity, letting out a roar of flames toward the masked individual suspended in the sky.

Kicking the air beneath his feet to create another platform, he vaulted upward further to evade the inferno before hurling his ki sword to unleash another massive slash toward the dragon construct.

A spherical bubble swiftly encased the dragon, the slash smashing into the shimmering barrier.

For a moment, it looked like the defense would hold, but then—

A crack. Then another.

Finally, the bubble splintered like fragile glass, leaving Arthur’s mouth hanging open in shock.

Luckily, the barrier had bought the dragon enough time to regain composure and send a wave of flames hurling forward.

The two attacks collided mid-air in a rain of sparks.

Despite its velocity being dampened by the shield, the slash still carried enough residual power to cancel out the dragon’s counter.

Casting a glance toward the heavens, the masked man frowned beneath his visor as a pillar of lightning screamed down at him.

Not one. Not two. A dozen massive pillars of lightning hurtled toward his position.

Unfazed, the Otherworlder thrust his hand upward from below, sending massive pillars of ki surging to meet them.

KA-BOOOOM!

The two dozen pillars of lightning and ki collided in the air with a thunderous explosion, sending a humongous shockwave blasting in all directions and reducing more surrounding houses to rubble.

The very atmosphere vibrated from the force of the clash.

Raze coughed out a thin trickle of blood.

That massive assault had been his doing, yet it still wasn’t enough to end the fight.

Jay snapped his fingers.

Instantly, hundreds of water bullets shot out, surging toward the Otherworlder as if they had been fired from a high-pressure cannon.

While still hovering in the air, the Otherworlder rolled his shoulders, clutching his ki swords tighter as the projectiles approached.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

He streaked forward almost like jagged lightning himself.

His swords swatted the water bullets out of the air, plucking them down as if he were taking out bothersome flies.

Thousands of these bullets were being parried casually, as if the onslaught was merely a tedious task.

Tilting his head to the side, he let one stray bullet fly past with a sharp rush of air.

While he was occupied with this defense, serrated disks of flames appeared all around Scarlet; they spun like deadly frisbees, humming with a lethal, searing heat.

With a loud whistle, they all surged towards the man in the air from behind.

Feeling and hearing what was heading his way, he casually swung one hand behind his back, sending another slash of Ki colliding with the disks for a moment while his second hand dealt with the water bullets.

A loud crash was heard from behind him as the Ki slash collided with the flame disks.

He managed to overpower half of them, but the remaining half burst through the dust, refusing to be swayed from their path.

Spinning around, the man lifted his arm above his face.

Ki flooded his forearm just as the disks slammed into his guard with burning force.

His sleeve was torn, but the projectiles were unable to dig deep into his skin as a dense layer of Ki blocked their trajectory.

However, to the man’s surprise, some spun with more intensity and dug deeper than they should; drops of blood were now trickling down his skin.

His eyes lit up when,

"This is from a dear friend of mine," Scarlet uttered before clicking her tongue.

"Explomb."

The disks all lit up together and then—

BOOOM!

An explosion flung the man from the air with such crazy force that, in less than a second, he connected with the ground.

The impact reduced the earth to a five-metre crater while a cloud of dust surged upward all around him.

Greg wasn’t about to let up as his lightning wolf darted forward with the speed of a flash.

In a second, he was already there with a hundred lightning bolts speeding into the crater.

"Ah... can’t lie, that kind of hurt."

The hundred lightning bolts, with their overwhelming force, dispelled the dust clouding the Otherworlder’s position to reveal him sitting inside the crater with more cracks lining his mask.

They looked like they could shatter at any moment, yet they still held tight, as if refusing to break no matter what.

Without an ounce of worry on his face—not that Greg could see it—a hundred Ki arrows surged from around him and darted forward, intercepting the lightning bolts for a brief moment.

To the Otherworlder’s shock, the lightning bolts destroyed his Ki arrows while continuing on their trajectory.

With a tired sigh, he staggered to his feet.

Blood was dripping from behind the mask, but he was still very much okay.

Snapping his fingers, a hundred Ki swords rained down from the sky and, within a moment, they connected with the lightning bolts, turning them into a rain of sparks.

The force of the collision shook the earth and almost flung Greg off his wolf, but before he could fall, he commanded the beast to take him away.

"Nah... you go nowhere."

Just a step.

The man took a freaking single step and appeared directly behind Greg who was still on his mount.

A lightning-fast roundhouse kick smashed the mage off his mount and into a distant building.

Luckily, the structure held, but deep cracks lined the features as Greg slid from the surface of the wall with blood pouring from his mouth.

His breakthrough aura was flickering in and out.

The Otherworlder stared at the scene with a confused look on his face.

’Perhaps I used too much strength?’
