Madman!

Chapter 63: Vicious Old Dog

Chapter 63: Vicious Old Dog

"I heard you have a wife and kids..."

"Shark Jiu, rules of the underworld! What we do doesn't involve family!" Master Bing roared, his face twisted.

"Are you stupid? You're dead. Who's going to care about your wife and kids?" Shark Jiu sneered, then softened her tone to persuade him.

"A woman with two children and a large sum of money... I won't even need to lift a finger. Others will target them. And they are much more ruthless than I am!"

"You don't think they're saints, do you? Your wife won't be able to hold onto that money."

"Better to trust me than them. After all, I'm a woman too. Women tend to be a little kinder to each other."

"I won't touch the money in their bank accounts; it's enough for them to live on. But you have a large amount of cash that couldn't be deposited. Where is it?"

Shark Jiu was clear. Someone like Old Ghost Bing would surely have a large sum in a bank account, which she would leave for his family.

Aside from that, he had a massive amount of dirty cash that couldn't be in the bank.

After a dozen seconds, Shark Jiu spoke again."You are definitely going to die. Whether your wife and kids live depends on what you think."

"Do you want me to go invite them over?"

"Shark Jiu!" Master Bing roared in anger, then laughed miserably. "Fine, I accept! You have to keep your word, or I won't let you go even as a ghost!"

"I can beat you to death while you're alive; what can you do to me when you're dead?" Shark Jiu scoffed. "But rest assured, I, Shark Jiu, always keep my word."

Master Bing gave up three locations.

"There's 13 million there. Take it and don't go after my wife and children."

"Take some men and go get the money," Shark Jiu said to Chen Wujun.

"Use my car!"

Chen Wujun nodded and turned to go downstairs.

After Chen Wujun left, Master Bing suddenly laughed. "I just said there was 13 million there. Actually, there's 15 million. Do you guess he'll bring it all back, or just 13 million?"

Shark Jiu immediately sneered. "Old dog, trying to sow discord even at death's door. I guess there's only 13 million."

"You probably don't know, but Jun is my junior brother. We were taught by the same master! Although our branch is reckless, we still have trust between fellow disciples."

Only Ji Xiang and Karen knew about the relationship between Shark Jiu and Chen Wujun.

Even Ah Hao and the others were unclear about it.

However, it couldn't be hidden anymore. Chen Wujun used the Swimming Dragon Palm, just like Shark Jiu. Cleft Lip Snake knew this best and would definitely spread the word.

"Good, good, good. Reckless indeed. You really have a good master!" Master Bing laughed miserably, repeating the word, then shut his mouth and said no more.

Chen Wujun took his men to the intersection where Shark Jiu's car was waiting.

"To Lai Chi Kok, Lan Sau Road."

Chen Wujun watched the scenery fly by outside the window, his mind constantly replaying the day's events.

It was a pity Cleft Lip Snake had escaped; that was trouble.

Senior Sister might not care, but he had to be careful.

Where could that guy run to?

Also, Senior Sister had been furious after receiving Master Xin's call... probably related to Master Bing's loan shark companies.

Neon lights and skyscrapers flashed past Chen Wujun's eyes, the surroundings becoming increasingly prosperous. The roads were wide, flanked by high-rise buildings and feasting and revelry—completely different from the dilapidated Walled City.

There was a look of longing and greed in Chen Wujun's eyes.

This was what he had always yearned for.

Especially the location where Master Bing hid his money: Mei Foo Sun Chuen Phase 6 in Lai Chi Kok. It was a typical high-end community where everyone was well-dressed and polite.

It was said that a flat of five or six hundred square feet cost over a million. His earliest wish was to own a unit in such a community.

In reality, it was a middle-class community inhabited mainly by senior professionals like doctors and lawyers.

But in the eyes of the Walled City residents, it was high-end.

Over half an hour later, the vehicle slowed down near a row of skyscrapers. Chen Wujun scanned the area, then signaled the driver to stop.

Chen Wujun led his men out of the car and directly into a loan shark company.

"Brother Jun!" The people here were Ah Hao's lackeys.

Chen Wujun took his men to the storage room in the back and found two battered safes in the corner.

Using the combination Master Bing provided, he twisted the safes open. Inside were piles of old ledgers.

Chen Wujun reached in and swept the ledgers onto the floor. Apart from a key, it was empty.

He reached in again, feeling around until he found a thin wire. He pulled hard, and a section of the metal backplate came loose. With another tug to remove the plate, the stacks of cash bricks hidden behind were revealed.

The old debts and bad accounts outside were just camouflage.

"Brother Jun, so much?" Ah Fei's eyes lit up when he saw the money inside.

"Go find two bags!" Chen Wujun told Ah Fei, then opened the other safe, which also hid stacks of cash bricks behind it.

Once Ah Fei had packed the money, it totaled three million in cash.

Chen Wujun then took the key and led his men into Mei Foo Sun Chuen Phase 6.

"You are..." The security guard saw that the group didn't look like residents and immediately came up to question them.

Without needing Chen Wujun's order, a lackey shoved the questioning guard back into the security booth.

"We're here to handle some business. You earn two or three thousand a month; no need to look for trouble," Chen Wujun dropped a sentence and led his men up to Flat E on the 12th floor of Building 23.

They opened the door, entered the bedroom, and took down a wedding photo of some unknown couple from the wall, revealing a safe behind it. After opening it, they found more stacks of cash bricks inside.

"Brother Jun, there's six million here!" Ah Fei gulped.

"Take it. We're going to the next place." Chen Wujun's heart was racing too.

Nine million. He had grown up only seeing a few tens of thousands at most.

Chen Wujun then proceeded to another estate. This time, inside a washing machine in an empty apartment, he pulled out a bag of money.

"Count how much it is!" Chen Wujun took a cigarette from Ah Fei and lit it. Fortunately, there were no issues at these three locations.

He felt a burning heat in his chest now. 13 million, plus those loan shark IOUs—he wondered how much he would eventually get as his share.

Until a sentence from Ah Fei startled him awake.

"Brother Jun, there's five million here."

"Nine million plus five million is..." Chen Wujun thought for a moment and calculated it.

"14 million."

Chen Wujun's movements suddenly paused.

"14 million?"

Wasn't it supposed to be 13 million?

"Brother Jun, what's wrong?" Ah Fei asked, seeing the strange look on Chen Wujun's face.

"Wait for me over there!" Chen Wujun took a deep breath, his expression shifting uncertainly.

Old Ghost Bing clearly said 13 million. Why was there suddenly an extra million?

Greed flared in his heart; he wanted to swallow that million.

But the greed was suppressed in an instant.

'No... Old Ghost Bing is sowing discord! That old thing, he really deserves to die! He definitely told Senior Sister about this. If I take back 13 million, I won't be able to explain it clearly.'

'Even if I insist it was 13 million, Senior Sister might still be suspicious.'

'One million is indeed a lot... but what I currently possess, and what I will possess after the gambling match... cannot be bought with just one million.'

In Chen Wujun's vision, what he could possess was far more than this million.

Chen Wujun smoked half a cigarette, his expression gradually returning to calm.

"Let's go. Take the money back!"

The group took the car back to the Walled City. Chen Wujun, Ah Fei, and the others brought several bags of money back to Jindi Finance.

"How was it? Did it go smoothly?" Shark Jiu sat in her chair, smoking.

Chen Wujun glanced at Master Bing on the floor, a hint of killing intent in his eyes. "Smoothly, but this old thing has bad intentions. The money isn't 13 million; it's 14 million."

Hearing this number, Shark Jiu's gaze narrowed slightly.

Master Bing suddenly started laughing.

His eyes were blinded, his face covered in blood; this laugh made him look like a vengeful ghost.

"I didn't..." Before Master Bing could finish his sentence, the pen on Shark Jiu's desk suddenly shot out like an arrow, plunging into his neck.

Master Bing's words instantly turned into a miserable grunt.

Shark Jiu walked out from behind the desk, looked down at Master Bing, and then stomped on the pen.

The pen instantly pierced through Master Bing's neck.

"This old dog. Doesn't want to be honest even when dying!" Shark Jiu said savagely.
