Madman!

Chapter 62: Shark Jiu: Hand Over My Money

Chapter 62: Shark Jiu: Hand Over My Money

Inside the teahouse, Shark Jiu grabbed Master Bing's hands, twisted them sharply, and snapped both his wrists.

Master Bing shrieked in agony once more.

With his eyes already gouged out and his hands now crippled, he could no longer stir up any trouble.

"Sister Shark Jiu, Cleft Lip Snake got away!" Chen Wujun stood by the window, looking down at the shocked and panicked expressions of the pedestrians below.

Many people on the street were looking up, their gazes falling upon Chen Wujun.

Standing against the light, his features were obscured; they could only make out the silhouette of a man with a broad, powerful back.

Shark Jiu heard the report but spoke with utter indifference:

"Let him run. He's just a stray dog who abandoned his own boss."

Though Shark Jiu called him a stray dog, in reality, Cleft Lip Snake was a wounded beast fighting for its life.

Although Cleft Lip Snake was heavily injured, his remaining strength was far from ordinary."You've got guts, setting your sights on Cleft Lip Snake." Shark Jiu swept her gaze across the room. Master Bing was ruined, and his subordinates were either lying on the floor or had fled just like Cleft Lip Snake.

"I wanted to test my current limits and see the true strength of an expert!" Chen Wujun smiled. He savored the aftertaste of the battle in his mind, feeling a surge of excitement.

No matter what, Cleft Lip Snake was a Harmonization Phase expert on the same level as Wen Long. His Enhancement Reconstruction Magnetic Field exceeded 65%. His five senses and reactions were terrifyingly sharp, his speed and power were immense, and parts of his body had already begun to mutate.

Even seriously injured, with half his body immobilized and his balance compromised... he was not someone to be trifled with.

Fighting him just now had been a dance on the edge of life and death. One careless mistake, and Chen Wujun would have been beaten to death.

The fact that he could exchange blows with such an expert and force him to retreat was proof enough of his recent progress.

Moreover, after facing an expert of that caliber personally, he felt absolutely no pressure when thinking about facing Resonance Phase martial artists with over 40% Enhancement Reconstruction.

It could be said that fighting Cleft Lip Snake didn't just verify his strength; it allowed his mindset to mature significantly.

"Ji Xiang, you can move now," Shark Jiu said, already on the phone giving orders to the others.

"The old geezer has a death wish. Since he wants to die, we'll grant his wish!"

"Ah Hao, do it!"

Hanging up the phone, Shark Jiu glanced at the mess inside the teahouse, then reached out, grabbed Master Bing by the neck, and dragged him out.

"Take him away!"

The group stuffed Master Bing and his captured subordinates into a minivan. It was common knowledge that a minivan could seemingly hold a clown car's worth of people—there was always room for one more.

Moments later, several vehicles drove away under the gaze of countless spectators on the street.

It took another ten minutes before the federal police, having finally received the report, arrived at the scene.

……

Ji Xiang sat in the passenger seat. After ending the call, he opened the door and stepped out, looking up at the signboard above: Fusen Finance.

He fished a cigarette from his pocket and lit it.

From the van behind him, seven or eight men climbed out, carrying blades and steel pipes.

"Let's go!" Ji Xiang exhaled a plume of smoke into the night air.

The lackeys behind him immediately charged in with their weapons.

In the distance, two young men squatting by the roadside saw this. With a glance at each other, one stood up and went to a nearby phone booth to make a call.

The other stared nervously at Ji Xiang.

Ji Xiang merely spared them a glance before walking into Fusen Finance.

Ten minutes later, a crowd of people surged over from the street.

Among them, a man with long hair swaggered to the door and pushed it open. He saw Master Bing's men pinned to the floor, while Ji Xiang stood by a desk checking the ledgers.

"Who are you people? Coming here to cause trouble—do you know whose territory this is?" the long-haired man asked with an unkind expression. He dug his hand into his crotch to scratch, providing a rather uncouth sight. When he pulled his hand out, it brought a few stray hairs with it. He sniffed his fingers, grimaced, and flicked the hairs away.

"We're from Hetu. This is a private grudge with Master Bing. My boss will talk to yours later."

"Walled City cockroaches, huh! Instead of staying inside the Walled City, you run out here..." the long-haired man sneered contemptuously.

"What did you say?" Ji Xiang's subordinates glared at him, their expressions darkening.

"Walled City cockroaches. You always carry that stench! But hey, I'm not discriminating against you. People call me Foul Mouth for a reason!" The long-haired man slouched, his entire demeanor oozing roguish arrogance.

"You're Mad Dog from Heyong, right? Your mouth really does stink. How have you survived this long?" Ji Xiang immediately realized who this was.

Mad Dog of Heyong, infamous for his foul mouth.

"Tsk, tsk!" Mad Dog chuckled coldly. He scanned the room, his gaze finally landing back on Ji Xiang. "You said it's a private grudge... Fine, let's say it is. I won't interfere in here, but don't start anything on my turf! Tell your boss to talk to the head of Heyong later!"

Mad Dog turned to leave, instructing his lackeys as he walked, "Keep an eye on them. If they try to pull anything funny, CALL me. I'll bring the boys and chop them into eighteen pieces!"

"Boss, should we watch from outside or inside?" a lackey asked.

"Moron, outside of course. These guys are vicious; I'm afraid you'd get chopped into eighteen pieces! And even if you didn't get chopped, you'd catch their stench."

……

"Secure everyone. Where's the safe key? Open the safe for me." At another loan shark company, Ah Hao stomped on the hand of one of Master Bing's subordinates, crushing it.

The man howled in misery.

"I'll open it, I'll open it..."

Moments later, the safe was opened, revealing stacks of cash, along with ledgers and IOUs.

As Shark Jiu finished her part, Ji Xiang, Ah Hao, Flower Boy Rong, and Cun Bao all mobilized with their men.

Over a dozen loan shark companies were swiftly brought under control.

News naturally reached the ears of the various gangs.

Heyi... Heyong... The Big Four... Four Stripes... Guanglian... Not fully understanding what was happening, these gangs all made calls to Master Xin.

Chen Wujun and Shark Jiu had just returned to the finance company when Shark Jiu received a call from Master Xin.

"Shark Jiu, what are you doing? You've raided all of Old Ghost Bing's loan shark businesses. The Heyi gang and the others are blowing up my phone."

"Master Xin, during our duel with Lidong, Old Ghost Bing had a death wish. He colluded with Lidong to set a trap for Jun. When I confronted him, he still dared to act high and mighty with me!" Shark Jiu sat on the table with a cigarette dangling from her lips, speaking in a lazy drawl.

"What happened to Old Ghost Bing? Where is he?" Master Xin asked directly.

"I gouged out his eyes and broke his limbs. He's clinging to his last breath," Shark Jiu said with a smile.

Hearing this, Master Xin knew there was no peaceful way to resolve the situation.

After a moment of silence, he said, "Handle Old Ghost Bing yourself. How do you plan to deal with those loan shark companies?"

"Consider that Old Ghost Bing's compensation to me!" Shark Jiu replied self-righteously.

"Shark Jiu, Old Ghost Bing had connections with every gang. By crippling him, you've offended a lot of people. The only reason Old Ghost Bing could operate on other gangs' turf was that, besides paying them a cut, he had no power of his own and posed no threat to anyone."

"Shark Jiu, you are from Hetu. If you take over those companies, people will see it as Hetu invading their territory. How do you think they will react?" Master Xin said over the phone.

Hearing this, Shark Jiu's face darkened, and she spoke in an unnervingly calm voice:

"Master Xin, you can't expect me to spit out the meat that's already in my mouth, can you?"

"Finish dealing with Old Ghost Bing, then come see me. We'll go meet the leaders of the major gangs together to discuss how to handle this and come up with a solution that satisfies everyone."

"Understood!" Shark Jiu said, suppressing the rage in her heart.

After hanging up, Shark Jiu couldn't contain her fury. she jumped down and spun around, kicking the table.

The entire table went flying, crashing into the wall and shattering into a pile of broken wood.

"That damn old thing!" Shark Jiu grinned, but her face was awash with chilling killing intent.

She took several deep breaths before slowly calming down.

In reality, this outcome was within her expectations.

Of the 16 loan shark businesses, she didn't need to keep them all. She only needed the few closest to the Walled City—just enough to plant a few flags outside the walls for now.

She just resented that old fossil, Master Xin, always holding her back. The other gangs hadn't even said anything yet, and he was already interrogating her.

If not for Master Xin, she would have expanded her territory long ago.

Shark Jiu turned to look at Master Bing on the floor, walking over to look down on him. "Old Ghost Bing, anything else to say?"

Master Bing lay on the ground, laughing miserably. "You will see this day too."

"Master Xin was imposing his whole life, yet he took in a traitor like you... But did you really think Master Xin, who navigated the underworld for a lifetime and managed to save the Walled City from the Federation, wouldn't know you were a traitor? I'll be waiting for you in hell."

Obviously, he had sensed Shark Jiu's resentment toward Master Xin.

"Too much talking... I said, hand over my money!" Shark Jiu stomped viciously on his broken wrist.
