Lustful Demon King: Summoned by the Demon Goddesses!

Chapter 195: Exploration

Chapter 195: Exploration

Elyndra studied him for a long moment after his answer. There was no hesitation in his voice. In Jax’s voice wasn’t any uncertainty or hidden doubt, just acceptance of living in Terra.

That, more than anything, seemed to settle something within her,"...I see," she repeated softly.

Her wings shifted behind her, the faint glow along their veins pulsing once, then calming again.

For a brief moment, silence returned between them—not awkward, but contemplative. The kind that came after something important had been said.

Then Elyndra exhaled gently and straightened in her seat, the subtle shift in her posture marking the return of the Queen rather than simply the woman enjoying a quiet morning.

"As much as I would enjoy continuing this conversation," she said, her tone regaining its composed elegance, "there are matters that require my attention."

Jax smirked faintly.

"Queen duties, I presume?"

She gave him a small, knowing smile, "Endless ones, a Queen’s work is never done," Elyndra said.

Rising gracefully from her seat, Elyndra set her cup aside. The ambient light of the Faerie Realm seemed to respond subtly to her movement, the air itself bending ever so slightly around her presence.

"Preparations for the contract must be finalized," she continued, "Representatives from several noble faerie houses will wish to observe. It is... a significant moment."

Jax stood as well, rolling his shoulders slightly, "Understandable."

Elyndra stepped past him, then paused, turning her head just enough for her gaze to meet his again, "In the meantime..."

Her lips curved faintly, "You are free to explore the Faerie Realm as you please, Demon King."

Jax raised an eyebrow, "No restrictions?"

Elyndra chuckled softly.

"If anyone here were foolish enough to cause you trouble, it would be... educational for them."

A faint glimmer of amusement passed through her eyes, "Besides," she added, "you are hardly someone who needs supervision."

Jax smirked, "Fair enough."

She inclined her head slightly,"We will meet again later today to officiate the agreement."

With that, her wings unfurled just slightly, just enough to catch the ambient currents of mana in the air, and in the next moment, she was gone.

Jax watched the space she had occupied for a second, then exhaled lightly.

"Faeries."

There was a faint sound behind him. A very deliberate one, and it continued into a soft slow clap.

"Wow," a familiar voice said, dripping with amusement, "you didn’t waste any time, did you?"

Jax didn’t turn immediately. He already knew who it was, "Sabrina."

"Correct," she replied brightly.

He glanced over his shoulder.

Sabrina stood a few steps away, arms crossed beneath her chest, one hip cocked slightly to the side. Her golden eyes shimmered with mischief, and her long hair flowed gently despite the still air.

She looked... mildly annoyed, but mostly amused.

Jax turned fully toward her.

"How long were you standing there?"

She tapped her chin thoughtfully, "I’m sure you know how long I’ve been here. Hearing you two talk about you becoming a full demon and having a nice, quiet breakfast with the Faerie Queen,"

Her eyes narrowed playfully, "No big deal."

Jax chuckled.

"Eavesdropping now?"

"Observing," she corrected immediately.

He raised an eyebrow.

"Of course."

Sabrina uncrossed her arms and walked toward him, her steps light but deliberate. Then she stopped directly in front of him, looking up at his face with a slight pout.

"You know," she said, her tone shifting just a little, "I heard you had quite an eventful night."

Jax smirked faintly, "Word travels fast."

"Oh, it does," she said sweetly. "Especially when certain fox girls are very bad at keeping their emotions contained."

Jax chuckled.

"That obvious?"

"Painfully," Sabrina replied.

She leaned in slightly, lowering her voice.

"So let me get this straight..."

Her finger poked lightly against his chest.

"You came to the Faerie Realm..."

Another poke.

"Spent time with the Queen..."

Another.

"And then went to bed with Serika..."

She paused.

Then her eyes narrowed just a bit.

"And didn’t invite me?"

Jax blinked once and then laughed. Sabrina’s expression immediately shifted.

"...You think that’s funny?"

"A little."

Her eyes narrowed further.

"You’re unbelievable."

Jax shrugged casually.

"You weren’t there."

"That’s not an excuse."

"It kind of is."

Sabrina stared at him for a second.

Then sighed dramatically, placing a hand against her forehead.

"I can’t believe this..."

She peeked at him through her fingers.

"...you had a whole night in a magical faerie palace and didn’t think, ’Hey, maybe I should invite Sabrina.’"

Jax crossed his arms.

"You would’ve come?"

Her head snapped up instantly.

"Obviously."

There wasn’t even a second of hesitation.

Jax smirked.

"Good to know."

Sabrina narrowed her eyes again, but there was a faint smile tugging at her lips now.

"...You’re fixing that tonight."

Jax tilted his head slightly.

"Oh?"

She stepped closer, her voice dropping just a bit.

"I’m not missing out twice."

Jax chuckled.

"Alright."

That simple answer caught her off guard for half a second.

"...Alright?"

"Yeah."

He shrugged.

"You can join me tonight."

Sabrina blinked.

Then her expression shifted immediately, annoyance melting into satisfaction.

"...Good."

She turned slightly, flipping her hair behind her shoulder with a small huff.

"Because I wasn’t going to take no for an answer anyway."

Jax smirked.

"I figured."

A brief silence followed.

Then Sabrina looked back at him, her playful energy returning in full.

"So," she said, clasping her hands behind her back, "since Her Majesty has given you free reign..."

Her eyes gleamed.

"...what are we doing?"

Jax glanced out over the glowing expanse of the Faerie Realm.

The forests pulsed with life.

Floating islands drifted lazily across the sky.

Creatures of light danced between branches and streams.

"...Exploring," he said simply.

Sabrina’s smile widened.

"Finally."

She stepped up beside him, bumping her shoulder lightly against his.

"Try to keep up, Demon King."

Jax raised an eyebrow.

"Keep up?"

The air around him shifted slightly, just a fraction, as his presence pressed outward for the briefest moment.

Sabrina felt it.

And grinned.

"Oh, this is going to be fun."

Without another word, she turned and began walking toward the open terraces, her pace light but purposeful.

Jax followed.

And together, they stepped out into the endless, glowing beauty of the Faerie Realm.
