Chapter 153 - 155: Weird Woman

Chapter 153 - 155: Weird Woman

"There is actually an organization of martial artists like me? Well that makes sense," he thought as he let out a slow breath.

Then his eyes narrowed as he looked at those people coldly, "If people like them exist, then how could they allow crimes like this to happen? Are they even doing their jobs properly at all?" he muttered.

As he observed them from the branches concealed by the shadows, he remained completely inconspicuous to those who believed they had hidden themselves well enough.

Shaking his head totally disappointed by this group of people, he turned around when the tip of a knife was inches away from his eyes.

Then out of instinct a current of electric charge run inside him then in a flash he backed off without any control of his body.

He landed down on the ground as the person covered in shadow followed as it used the branches to descend much faster.

"That was close, well aren’t you a bit hasty,"

Jeff even had time to joke as he just moved his body sideways so effortlessly.

As he dodged, a figure stepped out of the shadows. When the light revealed the suspect, it was a person dressed in black that fully covered her except for the face.

Stepping into the faint light, the ambusher finally revealed herself. Upon seeing the attacker, Jeff was surprised.

It was actually a woman dressed in plain black attire that clung tightly to herself perfectly outlining her trained and athletic build.

Her long silver hair with her silver looking eyes that looks like the moon itself was filled with wariness.

In each hand she held a dagger and the blades were coming at him as she descended filled with momentum.

"Target is spotted," she called out from the little device in his earpiece.

The agents stationed near the police moved immediately, heading toward the location where the signal had been sent.

Because Jeff was not that close and was about a hundred meters away, only agents from an unknown organization responded, and no police were alerted about this battle since its far.

Which saved group from troubles.

With his sharp hearing, he could sense them closing in on his position but he did not panic. Instead, he looked at the woman his gaze filled with questions.

"How did you sense me?" he asked feeling baffled.

He had clearly concealed his presence so well that even if someone stood right beside him, they would not notice him.

He was confident that even a martial artist standing in front of him would fail to detect his existence.

With his keen hearing, he had already sensed the girl approaching and assumed she would simply pass by.

It was impossible for him to be seen so he was never expecting this, thus the sudden attack caught him completely by surprise.

"Quiet criminal. We the CSA will capture you and lock you up so you will never see the light of day," the woman declared as she rushed forward again.

Receiving no answer, he simply shifted one foot back letting her charge pass so smoothly that it was as if the wind itself had changed direction.

The grass beneath him barely moved yet his body glided out of her attack line effortlessly again.

Seeing him dodge she twisted her waist with extreme flexibility as she came at him again with twin daggers flashing deadly.

Seeing that it’s closing in the woman smiled thinking that this time will work, contrary to her smile froze from the next scene.

Shing

Sparks came as Jeff simply raised only his hand, that is not craziest thing the shocking part was using his index nails to deflect it.

"How is this possible? Where did this monster come from?" she said filled with shock.

Caught by surprised she calmed herself down then continued her rampage, but each time the blade aimed for the unknown man’s throat or chest, his extended fingers tapped it aside.

Jeff looked at the woman’s face and felt like laughing, yet he was also surprised. He did not expect that even his fingers could become this tough when he infused them with energy.

Without stopping she stepped in tight circles. Her footwork was no kidding as she continuously cutting angles that meant to overwhelm him from both sides.

But Jeff just moved as if he were reading her steps before she made them, turning his body by inches and staying exactly where her blades could never reach.

Frustration built in her eyes as she increased her speed, her arms blurring as she attacked from above and below.

While in response Jeff fingers danced lightly in response, deflecting every strike with casual moved.

It’s as if he were brushing away falling leaves instead of stopping killing blows.

Seeing his eyes that is following her movements, she could not help but find his gaze beautiful, completely captivated by it as her motion began to slow.

"Senior Cara, backup has arrived,"

The first man called out as he finally saw the woman which is his senior, fighting someone with his face covered in dark clothing.

Likely a terrorist.

"Stand down," he ordered.

Then the rest of the group that had just arrived surrounded Jeff, every gun was now aimed at him.

Seeing this, the woman stepped back and drew two guns from her back, aiming them at Jeff’s head.

"Enough games, surrender now or we will shoot!" she warned for the last time.

Jeff watched himself being surrounded from all sides, yet it did not make him afraid or even cause him to waver.

He simply stood there scratching his head as he wondered how the situation had come to this.

Still, he felt genuinely confused as he looked at the woman. Then putting strength into his legs, he vanished on the spot and reappeared atop a tree without making a sound.

Then by circulating his kinetic energy he conceals himself completely.

It happened in just a split second that felt like he just teleported making all of them froze in shock.

They relentlessly looked around and even Cara the silver haired woman glanced around and spotted him in the tree not far away.

Both golden and silver eyes locked at each other then.

"He is at the top of the tree hurry and shoot," she called out as she fired first.

Seeing the bullets coming he found it boring to block them, so he turned into a blur and vanished from the treetop.

With the signal and direction given the others opened fire as well. Gunshots cracked through the air, but all they hit was empty space, leaving only a faint rustle of leaves behind.

"Did we get him?" one of the men called out.

Cara did not speak as her eyes snapped toward the nearest branch, "How is he so fast?" she screamed in her mind.

It felt as if she were seeing a ghost, "Over there you bunch of idiots," she cursed aloud, knowing that if they kept this up they would die.

But before her gaze could even settle on him Jeff was already gone, vanishing before a single bullet could be fired in that direction.

"Shit where is he now?" she cursed as she scanned her surroundings.

Her language doesn’t befit her appearance at all.
