Chapter 2155 - 2159: We Can Have Lots and Lots

Chapter 2155 - 2159: We Can Have Lots and Lots

Di Mingchen blinked, then took her hand, speaking casually, without the slightest heaviness, as if it was quite natural, "If you really can’t have children, then we simply won’t."

"Really?" Nangong Ran slightly frowned.

"Of course." Di Mingchen affirmed, "The person I love is you. It’s because I love you that I love children. If you can’t have children, then I’ll just love you for the rest of my life, treating you like a child, wouldn’t that be nice?"

He raised his eyes to look at her.

A lump formed in her throat, tears surged continuously in her tear ducts, but she had to hold them back.

The cruelest thing in the world is probably having immense sadness but still having to pretend nothing is wrong in front of you, smiling without a care.

"That’s absolutely wonderful!" She finally held back her tears, smiling radiantly like a flower, like a child throwing herself into his arms, "I was kidding! I can have children! I can have lots and lots!"

"Then we’ll have lots and lots." He held her tightly, inhaling the fragrance of her hair with affection.

But in a place he couldn’t see, Nangong Ran’s eyes were red like a rabbit’s.

After a long while, he released her, but before she could restrain her emotions, he saw her without warning.

"What’s wrong?" Di Mingchen was a bit nervous.

"It’s nothing." Nangong Ran quickly shook her head, giving an embarrassed smile, "Just moved."

"Silly, isn’t it?" Di Mingchen patted her head, "Isn’t this perfectly normal?"

Perfectly normal?

Nangong Ran was stunned for a moment, then a hint of bitterness spread from her throat.

Di Mingchen started the car, saying, "It’s like, if there was something wrong with my body, would you still marry me?"

Nangong Ran looked at him sharply, not knowing what to say.

Suddenly, she blurted out, "Then if you knew something was wrong with your body, would you still want me to marry you?"

"Of course, I would." Di Mingchen nodded, "You’ve already slept with me, you have to take responsibility."

As he spoke, he turned to look at her, a smile tugging at his lips, and he reached out to grasp her small hand and asked, "What’s wrong? Why bring this up all of a sudden?"

Then he frowned slightly, involuntarily looking at the report he had tossed aside, could this strange girl really have some problem?

"We just happened to be talking about it." Nangong Ran smiled.

Di Mingchen looked at her but couldn’t detect anything unusual, so he nodded, "En."

Di Mingchen drove to her school entrance, and Nangong Ran opened the car door, turning to him, "I’ll head back to school now."

"En." Di Mingchen nodded.

Just as Nangong Ran pushed the car door open, Di Mingchen suddenly grabbed her.

"What’s wrong?" Nangong Ran was startled. Could he have figured something out?

"Did you forget something?" Di Mingchen raised an eyebrow.

Forget, forget what? Nangong Ran looked at him, suddenly realizing.

She leaned over and planted a kiss on his cheek, smiling as she said, "I’m leaving now."

Di Mingchen leaned in, covering her lips with his for a moment before letting her go, "Go ahead, hubby will pick you up after school."

"Okay." Nangong Ran’s little face flushed slightly, she jumped out of the car, then waved to him, before turning to leave.

As she turned, the tears flowed from her eyes, her heart in turmoil, completely at a loss for what to do.

Watching her back disappear at the school entrance, Di Mingchen finally retracted his gaze, started the car, turned it, and drove off.

Just as the car turned, Di Mingchen paused, glancing at the report booklet.

After hesitating for two seconds, he finally reached out and picked it up, examining it carefully.
