Chapter 242 - 13: Guaranteed Purple Equipment, Land of Corruption Skill Book

The battle unfolded just as Qin Feng had predicted. Once Arthas, who excelled at crushing weaker foes, joined the fray, the siege—which would have otherwise required choosing between "spending many days" and "sacrificing a large number of Divine Chosen Soldiers"—effortlessly reached its final stage.

Atop the Great Wall, the Sielo Knights had triggered their Wing Connection state with the Crimson Flames. Their black armor was wreathed in roaring crimson fire, a sign that the Wing Connection skill, Burning Aura, was active.

Within the aura’s range, all ordinary soldiers of the Northern Territory were burned to death.

Behind the Great Wall, Arthas took the lead, charging straight into the structure’s interior. He slaughtered his way through with Nagash’s Gaze, carving a path of destruction from the bottom up.

Wherever he passed, fallen enemies were transformed by Nagash’s Gaze into new Undead Soldiers. They swarmed madly in all directions within the Great Wall, like bloodthirsty zombies in an apocalypse.

In front of the Great Wall, a cannon fodder army led by Undead Soldiers fearlessly scaled the walls. Like the Void Creatures from a Void Tide, they used their own bodies to build a gruesome, ever-rising ladder of bone.

Once the human wall of the Undead Legion completely submerged the archery embrasures in the middle of the Great Wall, the Crimson Flame Foxes, serving as Magic Cannon Platforms, officially took the stage. They locked onto the Great Wall structure, which had an enormous Life Value, and relentlessly unleashed their Flame Magic against its thick, frontal facade.

The area they bombarded was precisely chosen: the central section of the Great Wall.

This arrangement avoided friendly fire on the Undead Army that was frantically building the human ladder with their lives, while also creating an opportunity for the Extraordinary Dragon Cavalry to charge directly into the middle section of the Great Wall.

In addition, the Siege Vehicles built by the Minotaur Kingdom were now being strenuously pushed onto the battlefield by the Minotaurs.

By now, the Undead Army, piled into a human wall, had already blocked the embrasures in the middle of the Great Wall, while the spacious platform at the top was firmly controlled by the Sielo Flame Envoys and a large contingent of Undead Soldiers.

As a result, the Northern Territory soldiers trapped inside the Great Wall were forced onto the defensive.

Though they wanted to stop them, they were powerless against the seemingly fragile Siege Vehicles, and could only watch as the steel behemoths slammed into the Great Wall’s main gate and facade again and again.

As the gate shattered and the wall collapsed, swarms of Undead Soldiers poured in through the breach.

They coordinated with Arthas, who was continuously creating new Undead from the rear. Caught in a pincer attack, the defenders on the lowest level of the Great Wall were routed and utterly annihilated.

Soon, good news came from the Crimson Flames who were continuously bombarding the central section of the wall.

They had opened a breach in the middle of the Great Wall, allowing the Dragon Knights to charge directly inside and catch the Northern Territory soldiers—who were busy defending against enemies from above and below—completely by surprise.

And so, attacked from front and rear, the Northern Territory soldiers, now pincered from four directions, completely lost their will to resist. They dropped their weapons one by one and surrendered to Qin Feng.

Only the three Heroic Units remained loyal, leading a group of Northern Territory Warriors who fought to the death, mounting a final, desperate resistance.

Unfortunately, their struggle was futile.

Qin Feng and his own Heroic Units didn’t even need to act personally. The Extraordinary Soldiers—the Sielo Knights and Dragon Knights—were enough to effortlessly dismantle the three resistance squads led by the Northern Territory’s heroes.

As one could see, with the "King’s War" event now active, the development speed of all Lord Players had been greatly accelerated.

Previously, the baseline quality for equipment drops was only blue. Now, it had been upgraded to purple-grade equipment, guaranteed to have at least one affix.

Even if the affixes on some purple-grade items were unsatisfactory, they could be thrown into the territory’s weapon forge to be refined. This process would yield rare materials perfect for crafting new purple-grade equipment.

Bolstered by a large amount of purple-grade equipment, and combined with Talents, treasures, and skills... even if a Lord Player’s Divine Chosen Army was still outnumbered by the armies of Native Creatures, the individual combat power of their soldiers far surpassed that of the enemy.

As long as they didn’t encounter an Extraordinary Level entity, a Lord Player’s Divine Chosen Army could easily take on an army of Native Creatures several times their own size and slaughter them with ease.
