The Orc Lord stayed because he wanted to discuss more about the refinements that the President of the Alchemy Association had talked about—how it would proceed and so forth—with visible excitement.
He knew what this could mean for him and what kind of power he was about to gain!! It was just so exciting that he couldn’t contain it.
If not for the sake of maintaining his image, he would be urging them for answers at this point! But reading the mood of the room and the faces of the other two who remained, he kept his mouth shut, waiting for his chance.
"Speak, Blood Emperor and Holy Lord. Why have both of you remained here?" the Star Emperor asked, despite knowing the exact reason why they were here. He simply pretended to be oblivious.
The Blood Emperor and the Holy Lord—who, by their ideologies, should have been like light and darkness, completely incompatible and unable to meet eye-to-eye—were looking at each other, having reached some kind of understanding.
By no mistake, one could say the "light and the darkness" were working together!! It was entirely the circumstances they faced that forced them to be each other’s support, even though it went completely against their principles.
But in the end, what are principles when their lives and the lives of their subjects are in "danger"? (Not truly, though!)
The Blood Emperor was the first to speak!! "I won’t beat around the bush!! You both know the situation we are facing at this point in time, with the Dark Sun Empire, the White Moon Wolf Empire, and the Legion of Dark Angels moving against both my empire and the Light Holy Angel Empire.
They have dealt disastrous damage to us and even to our foundations, with many of our high-tier resource points and even secret realms falling under the control of these forces!!"
"We are helpless. If things go on like this, we won’t be able to do much, and soon the deadlock we all held will change once again—and for the worse!! After all, the major reason we are even able to hold on right now has more to do with those three forces consolidating the regions they have captured before preparing to advance on us, rather than our own strength!!
"And with another two forces eyeing our other two borders, neither of us can even deploy our fleets to strengthen our defenses!!
Above all, our empires’ forbidden zones have also burst forth at this point in time, with multiple entities coming out of them, putting severe pressure on the defense outputs there and causing heavy casualties!!

Hearing this, the Star Emperor—though he had expected this would be coming based on what he already knew of the situation—frowned. He knew exactly what the Blood Emperor was hinting toward.
"You want to withdraw from the alliance, huh, Blood Emperor?"
"And I think it is the same for you as well, Holy Lord?" raising his brow, the Star Emperor asked, though his tone remained perfectly calm.
"Star Emperor, you know it. It is not that we want to withdraw, but as the Blood Emperor said, we are in no position to send our fleets—which are basically our lifelines—on another adventure!!
It is a risk that we simply cannot take at this moment with everything that is going on around us," the Holy Lord said, nodding in agreement.
"Sigh!!" Hearing this, the Star Emperor exhaled deeply. "I know, Holy Lord. You don’t need to give an explanation. Your foundations and your empires are in trouble, which totally validates and gives a reason for your withdrawal! Don’t think too much about it; neither I nor the Association President will blame you for it.
For you are doing it out of pure necessity... but still, this matter is a bit troubling!!" massaging his brow, the Star Emperor muttered.
"No worries. You both may take your leave; we will see what we can do. You can officially withdraw your forces," said the Alchemy Association President, seeing how troubled the Star Emperor looked.
Just like that, two weeks passed during these turbulent times, where one piece of bad news for some, and good news for others, kept constantly appearing on the galactic net!!
A few smaller, less powerful Tier 2 factions even fell under the brutal offensives of their enemies, leaving their empires completely divided and many dead.
Some news reports went as far as telling the common public that many smaller nations were taken down in a horrific fashion by dark forces, with almost every single person from those empires killed and everything of value looted!!
Reports like that kept piling up, which made the other low-ranking factions feel a desperate, immediate need for strength to defend themselves against such nightmare situations. But at the same time, they had absolutely no idea how they could even enhance their strength in such a short period of time!!
It was then that a news headline turned the heads of these confused lords, immediately attracting their attention and that of the rest of the galaxy—specifically the ten greatest companies who supplied military infrastructure!!
The news was about how the Azura Imperium took delivery of the weapons they had procured from the Void Fleet, also known as the Celestial Void Empire!! Using those weapons, they were successfully able to push out the Orc army that had occupied one of their outer region, resource-rich systems—and they did it with ease!!
And when the Orcs retaliated, the Azura Imperium used those very same weapons to successfully hold them off, even managing to wipe out a massive chunk of the Orc forces and forcing the rest to flee in terror! This sent shockwaves throughout the entire galaxy.

Inside an enormously big space station orbiting Planet Azure, Hangar Number 1—which could successfully dock ships with a length of more than 300 kilometers with ease—was currently empty.
There, on the observation deck of the hangar, stood a large contingent of people, surrounded by heavily armed and armored soldiers of the Imperial Guards!!
At the center of the deck stood a young man with a slightly distinctive appearance compared to the other Azura people. Instead of the typical black horns, this person had a pure white horn with golden patterns swirling around it.
Even his hair was white, a sharp contrast to the usual black and rare blue colors typically found among the Azura species!
This was the royal bloodline of the Azura Imperium royalty!! It contained the blood of a supreme Genesis Law Realm being—a being who was powerful enough to dominate a whole galaxy or more if he so wished!! It was just that this specific trait and origin of the Azura royalty remained hidden to this day.
At this moment, the people gathered around the First Royal Prince, Kronos, were involved in a heated debate, completely divided into two factions!
"We should remain skeptical about the supposed superiority of the Void Fleet’s weapon systems," one person stated.
Another immediately argued back, "You haven’t heard or seen how dominant the Void humans and their ships and systems actually are!! I have witnessed it with these two eyes of mine, and if I say there is nothing superior to them, that is a fact!!"

"What do you know? As proud as I am of our researchers and technicians for developing and innovating technologies of such a level, I also have to add that there is always a peak which is not only higher, but far more superior!
And that is the Void humans and their technology!" someone countered. While passing judgment on their own people, they also showed that accepting their position in front of a superior force is always a good decision—especially when it benefits them!!
"Heh, didn’t expect even you to say it like that!" mocked the other person.
"Enough, all of you!!"
The First Prince, Kronos, who couldn’t stand to hear this anymore, spoke up and stopped everyone at once!! "Whether it is good or not, we will know for ourselves once we have it! So, what is there to argue about?!"
