Chapter 750 - 750 739 Titan Tribe Muria Comes to Challenge
Chapter 750: Chapter 739: Titan Tribe, Muria, Comes to Challenge! Chapter 750: Chapter 739: Titan Tribe, Muria, Comes to Challenge! With the shaking of the desert, the mound where Brass Dragon Loli had originally been perched rose high. Startled, the little dragon frantically flew to a nearby rock, her face showing surprise looking down at the rising dune.
The adventurers previously trapped in the desert by her managed to free themselves at this time, tumbling and scrabbling down the mound. Realizing that the little demon dragon wasn’t concerned about them, they hastily scrambled off. They dared not to linger.
“So noisy, who is the impolite one disturbing a poor, sleeping, old dragon.” With the mound continually rising, finally, a brass-colored dragon head broke through the sand at the peak of the mound. It lazily regarded Muria overhead with a somewhat dissatisfied expression.
“Mureya Iapertos Eronsalas,” Muria announced his real name with a smile, confident in the intimidation of the surname following his name.
“Eronsalas, what a familiar sounding family name.” The old dragon scratched its chin with its claw. Then, its eyes widened and reacted entirely differently from Muria.
“Ah, I remember now. A golden dragon called Dimos once borrowed 100,000 cubed elemental crystals from me and hasn’t returned them until now.” The old dragon’s gaze fell upon Muria as he spoke. “What are you to Dimos, are you here to repay his debt?”
“…” Muria was rendered speechless. He hadn’t expected that this dragon’s response to his surname would bring up a debt. Although Dimos was his maternal grandfather and cherished him a lot, Muria didn’t feel obligated to take sides in the family’s financial affairs. Especially when his grandfather was wealthier than him, he saw no need to help repay the loan.
“Why don’t you speak?” The old brass dragon gave Muria a look that suggested he resembled the money-borrowing young golden dragon from the past.
“What kind of dragon are you to me?” A crisp voice interrupted the old dragon’s questioning of Muria, allowing Muria to breathe a sigh of relief. Turning to look, it was the dragon loli. She was looking at the old dragon roused by Muria with an unfriendly gaze.
“I’m your ancestor!” The old brass dragon rolled his eyes and said somewhat speechlessly.
“If you are my ancestor, why do you spend every day hiding and sleeping underground? You live leisurely, yet you cast me out on the surface to suffer.” Upon hearing this, the loli dragon’s anger further intensified. In her furious and indignant state, she even conjured a stone spear to vent her anger that hit the old dragon.
“Do you know how scared I have been living on the surface as a dragon these few decades?” The brass dragon loli’s voice took on a whining tone, behaving as if she was heavily wronged and pitiful.
The ancient dragon, initially ready to be flared up after being hit by his descendant’s attack, softened instantly upon seeing the loli dragon’s expression. It started to feel somewhat aggrieved.
“Who says I’m not taking care of you? If not for my presence, do you think you could solely possess this crystal mine after your parents abandoned you, without any ferocious beasts daring to harass you? Why do you think the young blue dragons nearby run at the sight of you?”
“You even said…” Upon hearing this, the Brass Dragon Loli grew even more heartbroken. She conjured up a large stone to drop onto her ancestor, “If you knew how frightened I was living aboveground alone, why didn’t you come up and accompany me? Even if your presence covers the area and makes it safe, I am still not daring to step out of this region. I have been living as though in prison these few decades. Do you know how uncomfortable I have been?”
Muria looked with a pained face at the chattering loli dragon complaining incessantly to her ancestor. He had a healthy respect for the Brass Dragon’s gift of the gab.
On a night with sporadic shining stars, Muria started dozing off sitting on a rock. Michaela had grown impatient long ago and after hearing about the location of a nearby blue dragon tribe, she took two battle swords and went to challenge them all by herself after assuring Muria that she would bring back the dragons alive for him.
The little dragon loli below was still rambling to her ancestor while the poor old dragon stopped responding and started dozing with his head on the pile of sand.
“Ancestor, are you even listening to me?” The incessantly chattering dragon loli suddenly noticed her ancestor was sleeping quietly and slapped him awake.
“I am listening. I am, my eyes are just closed, not my ears.” Looking at his descendant, the ancient brass dragon showed a helpless and indulgent expression.
“Oh, right. Kid, why were you looking for me? Surely, you are not here to repay the debts of your grandfather.” Suddenly, the old dragon addressed Muria. He finally found a topic which he could trail off on. He couldn’t bear it anymore.
“I want to establish an academy for the dragon race and would like to invite you to be a professor,” Muria revealed his purpose.
“An academy, like the ones humans have?” The old dragon pondered before asking.
“That’s right,” Mureya nodded.
“Can my offspring enroll then?” the Ancient Dragon asked, looking at Mureya. “I will not abandon my descendant.”
“Of course,” Mureya glanced at the Loli Dragon and nodded, adding, “As long as the giant dragon is underage, they can enroll. The type doesn’t matter, as long as they belong to the Dragon Race.”
“What about the salary?”
“Starting from a hundred Elemental Crystals every month, specific remuneration will be determined by the quantity and quality of teachings,” Mureya responded. Even as the Dragon King, giant dragons wouldn’t work for him for free, he had to pay them well.
“Okay, I agree.” Unexpectedly to Mureya, the old dragon agreed directly after asking a few questions, surprising Mureya with how easy it was.
In fact, to the ancient Bronze Dragon, teaching was a piece of cake. They were born chatterboxes. Now that Mureya was giving them an opportunity to freely converse with their fellows, they naturally wouldn’t refuse, especially when there was money involved. How could the Bronze Dragon refuse such a job?
“Mureya, I have subdued all the Blue Dragons here. Send someone to take care of them.” After Mureya just left the spatial coordinates of Xena Pus for these two Bronze Dragons, an old and a young one, Michaela’s voice reached Mureya’s ears.
When Mureya arrived at Michaela’s location, he saw a battlefield covered with crystalline pits and burn marks caused by lightning strikes, all a result of high-temperature flames. Without thinking, it was obvious these were left over from Michaela’s battle with the Ancient Dragon.
“This Ancient Blue Dragon is quite strong, it took me a hundred moves to defeat it.” The Blazing Sky Girl stood on the back of a huge Ancient Dragon, looking gallant. The Ancient Dragon looked miserable, having completely lost its fight.
Its skull was cut in half, its wings were chopped off, and even its front limbs were left as a short stump. This Ancient Dragon had been completely disabled by Michaela with her sword.
Seeing this Ancient Dragon with nearly half of its body cut off by Michaela, a sympathetic expression appeared on Mureya’s face. Michaela was merciless in battle, especially with creatures as evil as the Five Colored Dragons. If it hadn’t been for Mureya, she would have cut off this Ancient Blue Dragon’s head long ago.
“You’ve worked hard.” Mureya complimented the Blazing Sky Girl as he looked at the miserable Ancient Dragon. Then, he looked around at several other almost immobilized Old Blue Dragons, all with Soul Intent strength. “You haven’t got injured, have you?”
Michaela shook her head at Mureya’s concerned tone. “I have Legendary Armor on, they can’t break through my defenses, they can’t hurt me.”
“That’s good.” Mureya nodded, then contacted Mia, who was with Xena Pus. He established a one-time teleportation array to this location. He brought this Ancient Dragon, the older dragons and scattered Blue Dragons to take them all back. The obedient ones would be educated, while the disobedient ones would directly be sealed into pillars to serve as energy sources.
…
After handling the odds and ends, Mureya and Michaela visited the second Ancient Dragon, an Ancient Silver Dragon residing atop a snowy peak. Upon hearing Mureya’s motives, the Ancient Silver Dragon lazily refused, citing himself as too busy, and showed no interest in Mureya’s proposal.
Metallic Dragons were the most responsible of the Dragon Race. But this only applied to their own offspring. They had no interest in teaching other giant dragons. Every family should clean its own doorstep, they wouldn’t bother about ice on others’ roofs. That’s what Metallic Dragons were like.
“Quite cold.” As the Silver Dragon’s retinue respectfully escorted Mureya and Michaela out, they looked back at the ice castle with a sigh.
“What now?” Michaela, who understood Mureya’s intentions, was a bit upset on seeing his proposal being rejected by a Silver Dragon and wanted to share some ideas with him.
“If he doesn’t agree, I’ve no choice. I’ll have to use some special means.” As he looked up at the Frost Castle, Mureya sighed lightly.
Radiant thunder burst forth from Mureya’s body. He took a step forward, his lean and small human form grew rapidly, in an instant standing shoulder to shoulder with the majestic ancient dragon castle. As the castle’s inhabitants watched in surprise, Mureya stretched out his hand, pressing down amidst their panic-stricken gazes. The castle’s defensive array had just emerged when it collapsed under his palm.
“From the Titan Tribe, Mureya issues a challenge to the Ancient Silver Dragon Xerzati·Bawudong!” Mureya’s booming voice resonated like thunder, his golden blood surging like flames, and the frosty snow within a radius of a kilometer started to melt.
