Chapter 731 - 731 721 Trace of the Golden Dragon

Chapter 731: Chapter 721: Trace of the Golden Dragon Chapter 731: Chapter 721: Trace of the Golden Dragon “You’ve done well.” Looking at the valiant Archangel that kneeled before him the moment he walked into the grand hall, Muria’s pride was greatly fulfilled. He was more confident than ever that the decision he made back then was the right one. “Asimio,”

“This is my duty,” replied the Angel, no longer bearing any sign of age, tossing the Ancient Dragon in his hand onto the grand hall floor. He looked at Muria expectantly.

“Hmm, you may leave now!” Dignified, Muria nodded approvingly. Using his imposing demeanor, he commanded the Angel to leave.

“In that case, I’ll take my leave!” The Archangel Asimio hastily exited the Wind King Castle and headed towards Xena Pus.

“Bootlicker.” Seeing the Angel leave so eagerly, Muria couldn’t help but curse under his breath. It was only by holding leverage over him that he convinced him to leave Cloud City. “Hasn’t he heard that bootlickers become utterly destitute in the end?”

“But he probably has everything he needs.” Muria muttered helplessly. There was nothing he could do, the man had a stunning physique, good looks, and power. His two-thousand-year existence allowed for shrewd snowballing in emotional intelligence. Regardless of any aspect, he was essentially the perfect spouse and thus there was a 100% chance that he could win back her previous lover. No one else could compete with him.

As Muria fell deep into thought, the Ancient Green Dragon tossed onto the floor by the Archangel looked around in terror. The moment she entered the castle, she sensed an overwhelming number of legendary auras that filled her with dread.

She could handle one or two, but she felt too many to count, an unbelievable number. Ancient Dragons, Nagas, Giants… A variety of potent legends stood on either side, staring at her emotionlessly, exerting immense psychological pressure.

“What on earth is this place?” The Ancient Dragon thought back to the sight she saw before entering the castle- a number of gargantuan Iron Battleships parked around the castle, emitting fluctuations that made her shudder. Even the smallest of these battleships was larger than her own body.

“Why are there so many legends here?”

“What Dragon are you? State your name!” Muria finally snapped back to reality. He gazed down upon the Ancient Green Dragon trembling beneath him, demanding in a voice that echoed throughout the vast grand hall. The echoes made him seem even more dignified.

“I am the Ancient Green Dragon Samansha Aifes,” said the terror-stricken Green Dragon.

“Samansha Aifes, a fine name. You are an Ancient Dragon, so I shall give you a choice: One, you submit to me now and I will have some Dragons teach you the knowledge and skills that a Dragon ought to possess. Two, you can show me your pride,”

Muria cheerily looked at the Ancient Dragon below, “Choose one, and don’t worry. No matter which one you choose, I promise you will survive.”

“I choose to swear fealty to you, the great Dragon Lord,” Almost without a thought, the Ancient Dragon made the right choice.

What use was freedom when she couldn’t even guarantee her life? The intimidating legendary aura around her proved the strength of the young man questioning her.

The submission of the Green Dragon was just the beginning. As the Five Colored Dragons continued their expansion and exploration, more and more ancient dragons of the five colors were discovered, disturbed, and then more requests for legendary aid were sent to direct their attention to Xena Pus.

At this point, it was no longer a war of reconquest led by the Five Colored Dragons, but a war between Xena Pus and the native Dragon Race on this vast land. However, those currently clashing with Xena Pus were wild dragons of the five colors. The Metallic Dragons had yet to be discovered, but that was to be expected; they preferred to hide within civilized societies, experiencing the ambience of human culture rather than wandering in the wilderness.

Observing the progress of the war through Xena Pus’s advanced teleportation arrays, Muria often summoned Frost Giant legends from the Depluson subcontinent and Naga legends from the Ocean Kingdom. After the battles, he sent them back.

Throughout this Dragon war, Muria’s forces kept their definite superiority in number. If one wasn’t enough, they sent two, then three, then just ten to fight together. Even an Ancient Dragon could not withstand being ambushed by a group of Legends.

“It’s strange, I didn’t expect that there would be a Golden Dragon nesting here.” A Green Dragon hiding with its invisibility cloak in the jungle caught sight of something. Carefully peering out, it gazed at a mountaintop in the distance where dozens of Cloud Giants were patrolling. Beneath their watch was a castle.

“There is more than one Golden Dragon here? What should we do? Should I call the others to fight? The two of us aren’t enough to take down this Golden Dragon Castle,” whispered the lurking Green Dragon as it turned to its brother, greed flashing in its eyes.

“You’d be getting us killed! You’re delusional, thinking to fight a Golden Dragon.” The larger Green Dragon slapped his brother on the head. “Have you forgotten the bloodline of the tyrant? These are his kin. I guarantee that if you dare to fight, you’ll find yourself stripped of your scales and hung on a Bronze Pillar the next day.”

“Alright, but what should we do? Are we going to just watch?” The smaller Green Dragon asked rather unwillingly.

“Of course we send the news to Xena Pus! There’s absolutely no way we could fight.”

“A Golden Dragon’s Castle, how interesting.” Suddenly learning the location of the Golden Dragon Castle, Muria perked up, intrigued. “Surprisingly, the Golden Dragon has been here, right in the territory where the Five Colored Dragons are known to reside. There must be an Ancient Dragon inside. Without it, they couldn’t possibly maintain a foothold in this area. How strange; perhaps I should ask a wise elder about this.”

After a moment of thought, Muria planned to visit that Golden Dragon Castle, where she expected to find a legendary Golden Dragon who could resolve some of her doubts.

The continent felt strange to her, populated with a multitude of Giant Dragons, and she hadn’t encountered any proper Intelligent Races yet. She had asked the captured Metallic Ancient Dragons, but they couldn’t shed any light either.

Dragons were generally solitary creatures. Once they found a suitable habitat, they would wander only within that region from birth until death, never venturing off. Therefore, Muria couldn’t obtain the information she wanted.

“Indeed, a Golden Dragon.” In silence, Muria managed to sneak into the Golden Dragon Castle detected by two green dragons. On an open platform of the castle, she witnessed two frolicking golden-haired Lolita and a seemingly younger boy.

Feeling their familiar aura, Muria couldn’t help but smile, as she hadn’t encountered any of her kind for a long time. Golden Dragons were still rather scarce in the world.

“Eh! There’s a big brother there!” The young Golden Dragon boy, busy watching his sister play, noticed Muria standing on the edge of the castle—smiling. Hearing the young one’s cries, the two other gold-haired Lolita girls followed his gaze and set eyes upon Muria too.

Seeing Muria, their faces changed drastically. It seemed the surrounding Cloud Giants failed to notice her. Their unaltered patrolling route, in such an abnormal situation, frightened the small dragons, who were no ignorant human children.

“Such alert little ones!” Seeing the vigilant golden-haired girls, Muria laughed.

With the alertness of the Golden Dragon girls, the patrolling Cloud Giants around the castle crowded in, surrounding Muria. From inside the castle, a legendary aura, alluring to Muria, rapidly arose and dashed out.

“Who are you?”

The sensed legendary figure soon emerged before Muria. A middle-aged man, armored like a general, radiating a mixed aura of Golden Dragon. He was a Dragonkin.

“Don’t worry. I mean no harm.” Muria’s face then emerged with dragon scales, the radiant golden scales shimmering under the sunlight, “I came to visit the elders.”

This change relaxed the vigilant Golden Dragon girls instantly, and the surrounding Cloud Giants sighed in relief. Even the legendary Dragonkin who had rushed out relaxed and put away his weapon, much to Muria’s surprise. The identity of a Golden Dragon seemed to be universally accepted, especially among their kind here.

“My father is out visiting a friend, he is not at home.” The young dragon girl, upon finding out that Muria was of the same kind, immediately became cheerful, exuding a lively and adorable demeanor.

“And your mother?” Muria inquired curiously. It’s impossible to see only one adult Golden Dragon in a castle with three juvenile Golden Dragons.

“My mother went to visit Aunt Gwen,” the Golden Dragon boy eagerly answered, a beaming show-off.

“Who is Gwen?” Muria wondered.

“Aunt Gwen is an adult Silver Dragon,” one Golden Dragon girl answered Muria’s question.

“May I ask, are your parents legendary Dragons?”

“No.”

“I came to call on ancient elders, not to reminisce with your parents,” Muria said with a gentle smile. Gold Dragons, who are yet to enter the legendary stage, didn’t have what she was looking for. Without legendary powers, who would dare to wander the continent?

Aside from his Titan Tribe, which boasts such daring feats, he hadn’t heard of any other races that would let their unaged offspring go on a continental journey.

“Are you planning to visit Lord Delon Buckley?” The legendary Dragonkin replied politely upon hearing Muria’s intentions.

“May I send a message?” Muria asked. Before coming here, she had checked the contents of the Dragon’s Command fused in her Staff of the End but had not perceived any aura of Metallic Ancient Dragon. Otherwise, she could have contacted them directly using the Dragon’s Command.

“Unfortunately, the Lord is also out and won’t be back for a while. Your Excellency, do you have urgent matters?”

“Nothing particularly urgent. I’ve just arrived on this continent and am unfamiliar with a lot of things. I want to inquire about the relevant information of the Roghagen Subcontinent.”

“In that case, I think I can address your queries without requiring Lord Delon’s presence.”
