Chapter 24
Chapter 24
"Samael"
Everything happened as if in a movie. A fight, dull blows, blood. Lina huddled under the table and squeezed her eyes shut. She just couldn't bear to see how Samael dealt with the guards. The happiness of having him nearby quickly turned into fear. The dark one lost control. He burned with anger and hatred and had now become a merciless machine with only one goal – to kill.
When it was all over and the guards lay limp, the man leaned down to Lina.
– Keep your eyes closed.
He lifted her off the ground, holding her close, as if she were the most precious treasure in the world, and moved forward.
The steps echoed through the corridors, screams rang out from everywhere, and the girl felt as if she were submerged under layers of water. All sounds were far away. The only thing she heard incredibly loudly was Samael's heartbeat. Calm, measured beats. She felt the heat of his skin against her cheek, inhaled his scent. And even when she felt the icy wind creeping through her dress, she did not complain about it.
He was near. Alive. Real. Her beloved demon. Her addiction. Her Samael.
The last thing she heard before plunging into a world of peace and mist was one word whispered in her ear:
– Gulēt.

Quiet. A sleepy Sami-darkness surrounded her. The bed was warm and comfortable. Lina opened her eyes and took a few minutes to look around in surprise. The room was completely unfamiliar. Large and spacious, with a luxurious interior done in pastel shades. The bed was immense, big enough to comfortably accommodate four people.
She had never been in places like this before. So the logical question arose: how exactly did she end up here and when.
Memories of yesterday’s events began to slowly surface from her drowsy consciousness. Community, Anton LaVey, Zina, the room with the screens. The guards went somewhere, then returned. Samael appeared. He reSambled an Olympic God craving revenge. Majestic, dangerous, and terrifying. Then everything turned into fog.
The girl wriggled out from under the blanket and saw that she was no longer wearing that tight dress. Only the exquisite lingerie that the baroness had given her remained. Wonderful. This means that Samael undressed her and put her to sleep. The only question that remained unanswered was where the perpetrator of all this was.
Lina got up and stretched. She felt simply wonderful. No fatigue or aches in her body; on the contrary, energy coursed through her veins. On the table near the bed stood a glass of water and a tray of sliced fruit. So Sam took care of that too. The girl approached there and quenched her thirst. Now it would be good to wash up.
In the room, there was only one door, leading to the living room. The same pastel shades and obscenely expensive furniture. Lina was scared to touch anything, fearing she'd accidentally bump into something. Looking around, she finally noticed the entrance to the restroom.
Confidently, she headed there and opened the door. She froze, shocked by the sight. Her heart leaped into her throat, and her eyes refused to believe what they saw.
In the shower stood Samael. Steam from the hot water filled the entire space. The mirror was fogged up, and droplets gathered on the walls. Water streamed down his strong, sculpted body. His hair was wet, lips moist, eyes closed. His tattoos... The girl tried with all her might to focus only on them, but her gaze kept falling lower.
Yes, now she saw everything in all its beauty. Even his organ, which was currently in full battle readiness. So swollen and hard. The girl looked, unable to believe that it would somehow fit inside her.
She didn't know how much time passed, but for those few moments, she stopped breathing and existing. She wanted to turn into the water that now enveloped every inch of Sam's body. However, the girl managed to come to her senses and regain control.
Lina took a deep breath before Sam suspected anything, carefully closing the door. It was great that the water drowned out all the noise. Otherwise, the man would definitely have noticed the little awkwardness.
She returned to the bedroom and sat on the bed. Her heart raced in a frantic rhythm, and between her legs, it quickly became wet. Damn. He was incredible. How could anyone resist such a man and not desire him? Her fingers found their way to pleasure all by themselves. She couldn't help it, even though she hadn't done it in a long while. But her body craved release so much that in just a few minutes, she got what she wanted.
The door slammed, footsteps were heard. The girl quickly covered herself with a blanket, hiding the traces of her crime.
Samael walked into the room, wet and almost naked. A snow-white towel was wrapped around his waist, his face sported the same stubble, and his gaze was sly, as if he suspected everything she had just been doing.
– Good morning.
– Good morning, – she replied, drilling the floor with her gaze.
Thoughts were flitting from side to side, like frightened birds. He knows... He knows everything... But how could he find out if he was in the shower? Yet that devilish gaze was like some scanner...
Her cheeks began to flush.
– Is something wrong? – he asked with concern and approached very close.
– Everything's fine, – Lina responded, although some unknown lump was stuck in her throat.
– I can see that something is bothering you.
Samael touched her forehead with his palm, checking for fever, causing the girl to blush even more. At the line with her face, the snow-white towel swayed. Just one tug, and she'd see the man in all his glory again.
– Everything's fine, – she said firmly and pulled away.
Right now, it would be good for her to get some fresh air and cover herself with ice.
– Better tell me, where is Nathan? Is he in the next room? – she tried to shift the topic to safer ground.
– He is not here and won’t be, – the dark one immediately darkened and turned to the table.
– Why?
– Let’s just say: we didn't see eye to eye, and fundamental disagreements arose between us that make further cooperation impossible.
Sam grabbed an apple and took a bite.
– And what does all this mean? – Lina didn't grasp.
– Only that now it’s just us two, and no one will stand in our way.
– Stand in the way of what?
– Stand in the way of our relationship.
These words and the gloomy certainty with which he uttered them were definitely to Lina's liking. However, some extremely important questions remained open. But she felt in her heart that now was not the time to talk about it. That moment would come soon, but it was not yet time.
– Right now, I need to step away for some business. You can go out for a walk if you wish, and if you don’t want to, spend your time at the hotel. They have a luxurious spa. And don’t hold back on anything. We’ll meet in the evening.
The man headed for the door, but before leaving, he stopped and added:
– In the wardrobe, you’ll find a dress; wear it. I’ll be waiting for you at nine o’clock in the central hall.
That was it. Samael left the room, and a few minutes later, left the hotel suite. Lina still lay in bed, overwhelmed by the emotional rollercoaster she had just experienced.
