After reaching this point, Peter did not continue speaking, instead, he observed the 5 recruits that he was addressing.
The expressions of the 5 recruits varied from each other, but they shared one thing in common, which was the fact that they were all shocked.
This obviously included Kate, as despite being informed about much information on NEXUS by Michael, this was something that he had not informed her about.

But even then, at this point, Kate felt tremendous pressure. She understood, she was not the only person with an ability, and neither were the other 4 recruits the only people with the special abilities.
Since that was the case, she was undoubtedly going to clash against other mutants, which was to be expected, since she was going to be a member of NEXUS.
At the moment, despite possessing a special ability, her strength had not changed that much. At least, in the short term, she would still maintain the strength that she currently had.
But the pressure that she was facing, gave her the motivation. She felt, she had to train as hard as possible, in order to get stronger.
Additionally, she felt, there was a high possibility that Michael was also a mutant. As for what type of ability Michael had gained, that was something that she was not sure of.
At the same time, she felt that she finally understood why Michael possessed all those abilities that he did. Crazy driving skills, insane marksmanship skills, incredible at fighting, all of that, she finally ’understood’ why he was so.
Despite not knowing what kind of ability Michael had, she believed that it was definitely overpowered. After all, to be able to allow him to be able to do all those things, and those might not be everything that he was capable of, it definitely had to be a very powerful ability.

All this transformation happened in just a short time, which was very stunning. And, at this point, Kate believed that it was not long after he had left detention that Michael met with that mysterious uncle of his.
As for what kind of background that uncle had, most probably, he was part of the government. Even if not, he had quite some influence, to be able to obtain the mutation serums.
With Michael becoming a mutant, it was no wonder that he was able to quickly transform, and with the support that he received from his uncle, he was able to make something of himself.
As she was still thinking about this, Lina, who was beside her, suddenly tagged at her.
Kate looked at her as she came back to her senses, slightly confused. But it was only then that she realized that the other recruits were already leaving the room.
It seemed that she was so lost in her thoughts that she had not heard what Peter had said, and why the recruits were leaving.
"What were you thinking about? Don’t tell me, do you feel relieved, having successfully awakened an ability, and no longer having to leave your boyfriend?" Lina asked mischievously.
"What’s always going through that mind of yours? If you want, you can always find a boyfriend yourself, right?" Kate responded grumpily, but even then, a slight smile appeared on her lips.
Even though Michael had previously assured her that everything would go well, it was only after everything had really gone smoothly that she felt completely relieved.
"Okay, let’s go. I’m pretty sure that you heard nothing at all, when the instructor was speaking. I guess you were busy thinking about what you would be doing with your boyfriend once you get back home." Lina did not seem to mind at all, as she continued, while pulling Kate to leave the room.
"Hmph!" Kate simply snorted in response, not willing to say anything more, as she understood, Lina would continuously tease her with this.
Just as they left the room, Kate suddenly remembered and asked in a low voice, "By the way, what did the instructor say? Is there anything that I’m supposed to pay attention to? Or are we supposed to do something?"
Lina seemed to be speechless for a moment, as she really had not expected Kate do not have heard a single word that Peter heard said.
But even then, she went ahead and said, "He did not say much. He simply said that we should go back to the dormitories. For the rest of the day, until tomorrow, we are not allowed to leave the dormitories.
