The metallic armored appeared and wrapped around the Skeleton. At the same time, the black scythe turned into a mean bone scythe with gnawing teeth.
A questionable noise came out from the robot.
"A transformation ability? I didn’t think a weak skeleton like you have it."
The robot shot forward. It was quick. Elite-level quick.
The shield appeared on the skeleton’s arm as it blocked the attack.
The black robot punched the shield, causing the feet of the skeleton to scrape on the few meter and sending the skeleton backwards.
A surprise noise came out of the robot.
"How? A mere Awaken just blocked me."
The skeleton laughed loudly. Green energy flooded out of it and enveloped it weapons.
’Now the real fun begins.’
Carter lunged at the robot and sliced the scythe toward it. The robot calmly raised his forearm to block the attack and catch the weapon.
But it underestimated the Skeleton greatly. The robot was flung into the wall. Its heavy body created a huge dent on the metal surface.
It widened its eyes as it saw the Necron Force ate into its metal arm.
This wasn’t just any metal. It was Cyber Runner’s artificial metal. It was stronger and more durable than any type of steel that you could find in Terrorstate.
Blue electricity shot out from the robot and pushed the Necron Force away.
It didn’t succeed. The Necron Force was a denser and higher in power than pure electricity. It was naive for the robot to think that it could repulse this green energy.
The Skeleton whipped at the robot and pulled it forward. The whip transformed into a shield and blocked the punch that the robot had winded up.
Shockwave spread out from the point of contact. It reached even the outside of this futuristic facility and spread to the outside shell.
All the windows of the burning facility shattered at the same time.
People on the outside covered their ears.
"What was that!" Someone shouted.
"Scaballolan!" Back in the core room, the robot tapped his chest.
Suddenly, his speed accelerated. Carter couldn’t even see his movement.
The robot delivered a wide haymaker at Carter’s face and caused his entire body to shove to the ground.
Before he could land, the robot delivered another knee to the stomach area of his armor, sending Carter slamming on the wall.
"No one can keep up with the Scaballolan!" The robot’s mechanical voice echoed.
It rushed at Carter and punched repeatedly on the chest area of his armor.
"You have a hard shell, huh? I’ll break it apart!" The robot laughed manically.
The thick knife appeared in the skeleton’s hand. It tried to hit the robot with it but the robot was just too quick.
The robot slipped the thrust and caught Carter’s arm. He used his entire shoulder to break the joint of the arm and then kicked Carter.
Carter broke through the metal wall and rolled a few times on the ground.
His right arm was completely broken in two. The sleeve of the armor prevented it from dropping.
The robot climbed through the hole calmly.
"You’re one strong Awaken, skull. You may even be the strongest one I’ve seen. But you are still just an Awaken. Only an Elite can kill and Elite."
’Oh yeah? Let me prove you wrong.’ Carter thought to himself.
The skeleton stood up. The green circle on his chest armor had disappeared by half. It tapped on the circle twice.
Carter gathered all of his Necron Force and flooded it out. Then he used the Monster Beneath.
The skeleton exploded into a green cloud.
The robot disappeared at its position. It was just too quick for human eyes to comprehend. It punched straight at Carter’s last seen position.
A large bone hand grabbed the robot’s fist.
"What?!"
The cloud dissipated and in front of him was a large monstrous Skeleton. The metallic armor disappeared. It fused into the white bones and made ancient runic patterns appeared.
There were too many teeth upon the skeleton’s jaw. There were too many eyes upon its full smooth skull. And there were too many skeletal hands circling around it.
The hands grabbed the robot tightly.
The robot struggled fiercely. Electricity shot out from him. This time it was even more powerful than when he tried to use it for the Necron Force.
The green energy invaded the robot. Even death came for the machines as the steel rotted and the circuits broke.
"You?! This is..."
Smoke exuded out of the robot as it used all of its power. But it couldn’t escape the skeleton.
He was no mere robot. He was a full converted cyborg with a soul inside the machine.
The Soul Cyborg felt death coming for him. A concept he had forgotten for many years. As Necron Force leaked into every corner of the machines, it also found his soul. The fragments scattered around the circuit and metal.
"Please no! Mercy! I surrender!" The robot screamed.
"Mercy... is no more." The skeleton’s deep voice echoed.
It spread to the entire area surrounding the burning facility. Even the humans heard it.
The bone scythe appeared on the sky of the burning facility. It had grown much larger than before.
"What... is that?" Atsuo froze.
All the personnel of his military also froze.
The scythe slashed over the building, cutting it in two, and decapitating the Soul Cyborg at the same time. Its head logged off its body and disintegrated into ash before it touched the ground.
Along with it was its body, dissipating away without any sign that it had lived.

The robot had died. It was not just a machine. It was a living being.

The skinny doctor quickly took out the Awaken Healing Potion and Awaken Mana Potion. He chugged them down like a drunkard drinking alcohol.

Carter felt better already. The damage caused the skin of Shadow Apothecary cracked open. But the healing potion sealed it back up. And the mana potion filled the missing supernatural energy he had lost.
