Chapter 225: Unprecedented Take Over (10)

Rise stopped speaking and simply waited. The whole world was shrouded in darkness, and the ground had stopped shaking. However, the temperature dropped more than usual.

This phenomenon did not only affect the natives but also the outsiders, who were the espers of their world.

Because of how unusual this event was, they all decided to stop exploring and remained where they were. Even the rings that were given to them had stopped functioning, which created huge unrest.

This was something Rise did not have an interest in. They would be teleported out soon, so there was no need to care about them.

The lights inside also flickered as the mana in the air became chaotic. This was the final stage.

Rise was not sure about the process, really; he was making an assumption based on the effect it gave to the surroundings. His eyes lingered on the people of this world.

They had calmed down somehow, but only those threatened by what Rise said were distracted and crying.

A few minutes had passed until it was not even thirty minutes, and the phenomenon did not become worse, but it did not become better either.

Suddenly, Rise’s eyes lit up, and he looked up. His eye smile widened, and he prepared to greet his always sexy guild leader. It was not for long, and Rise finally saw Kamille descending towards him.

Everyone collectively gasped at his arrival. They instinctively fear Kamille, but also feel a closeness for some reason. This feeling was strange, but actually one logical answer.

He was the noble who took over their world.

Kamille did not even spare them a glance. His sole focus was on Rise, who was also watching him with an endearing smile on his face.

"Done?" Rise still asked even if he already had the answer. As usual, Kamille played along with him and nodded.

"I only have one step." Kamille had completed the most crucial one, and the last step was more of a formality. It could wait a bit.

Rise motioned for Kamille to sit, which the esper did. He took a chair and put it beside his. Unlike Rise, though, Kamille was sitting gracefully in it.

Rise narrowed his eyes, observing his esper, but quickly averted his gaze. "Well, we should do something about them first," He pointed at everyone.

"Those are fine, but the others aren’t."

Rise initially wanted to kill them all. However, thinking about it, he decided to spare them, aside from the higher-ups directly involved or interacted with that child-like noble.

This was not him suddenly becoming merciful, but a strategy. They were all elites, and it would hurt the foundation of this world if they all died. Meaning, the benefits would decrease.

Even as he thought of this, Rise did not immediately proceed with killing either. Traumatizing his subordinates and soon-to-be subordinates was not to his liking... at least for now.

It was enough that they were afraid.

"What’s the last step?" Rise asked after a while. Kamille was leaning on the chair, just waiting for the instruction.

This almost made everyone think about who was truly the one in charge in this situation. Zarilan and the clan leaders already knew of it somehow, but they still could not believe that a noble would bow to a human.

Their relationship was odd to say the least.

One might question whether Rise was truly a human.

"Declare ownership," Kamille simply answered.

It was a simple one. However, the most symbolic step of them. In his inheritance, the nobles always prepared a grand feast in celebration of this.

After all, invading a world was not as simple as sending gates to drown them all.

Kamille was not as fixated on noble traditions.

"Oh." Rise turned his body slightly to Kamille. "You can do it now, Guild Leader."

Kamille offered his hand. Rise glanced at it, tilted his head, and looked at Kamile’s eyes. Kamille motioned for him and smiled.

"Take it."

Rise was confused and had lots of questions, but he still held the hand firmly. The two were now holding hands while being watched by the weak natives of this world.

A somewhat comical sight and not romantic in a sense. As the place was filled with blood, collapsed and dead bodies were everywhere.

The two seemed to have a world of their own and barely cared about the atmosphere. Of course, they were a chaotic couple to begin with; they never cared about time or place to show their affection to each other.

This time was slightly different. Kamilel did not just hold Rise’s hand for the romantic gesture it entailed, but also related to what he was about to do.

"We’ll declare ownership."

As he said, this world was a gift. Kamille had no personal interest in it, and did it because Rise suggested it.

"We?" Rise blinked, not expecting this. After all, he assumed that once Kamille had refined the world and it became his, the owner was him. "How?"

That did not mean he was not interested or excited about it.

Owning a world... how cool was that? And this world, which somehow had a significant value for the author? Just imagining how massive a blow it was to the author brought such an inexplicable satisfaction inside of him.

Their conversation was actually loud enough, but seemed to be incomprehensible as well. Kamille had separated them, and the others could see them but not hear their conversation.

"Guide me."

Kamille was probably the first to do this, and likely the only one who would. Most nobles were selfish, and there was no way they would let others co-own a world with them.

Almost instinctively, Rise activated his wavelength and connected with Kamille. The familiar sensation quickly spread between them as they let out a satisfied sigh.

Kamille activated something, and soon the world seemed to have paused, and only the two of them could move. Rise felt his body being pulled to a space.

Yet, his body remained where he was. He did not panic and let Kamille lead him. He found himself on a boundary between illusion and reality. In fact, it was almost similar to the book space wherever he was unconscious.

No. It was not just similar, it was the same space! Yet, it seemed from a different angle of location from where the book was.

Rise looked around and blinked; a white space glittered not far from them.

"Putting our marks here will end the ceremony," Kamille explained.

Rise listened to him, but his eyes were fixated on that white space, which had now suddenly taken a shape, something before his eyes.

Fuck. Was that... a book page?
