Chapter 386 - 380: Horror Doll House 28

The little girl in the red dress turned and ran, giggling as she went, the sound echoing eerily through the corridor.

"Come and catch me~ hahaha..."

"Can’t catch me, you two big dummies~"

With a dull thud, the child was knocked to the ground.

Yuze lazily withdrew his hand, "Still want to play?"

The little girl in the red dress clutched the large bump on her head and began to cry, "Boohoo, brother, someone bullied me..."

Josh twitched the corner of his mouth.

When it comes to hitting children, Yuze has always been unparalleled.

Footsteps suddenly echoed from not far away.

Yuze and Josh looked over simultaneously, and the red-dressed child took the opportunity to dash off, crawling on the ground like a spider, then climbed the wall and slipped into a room.

The two exchanged a glance and quickly pursued.

The room appeared no different from the others.

Yuze kicked the door open.

The room was pitch black, seemingly much smaller than the previous ones.

Their flashlights illuminated most of the room.

Even though Josh was mentally prepared, he was still taken aback.

Many ropes hung from the ceiling, each with a corpse hanging from it.

The corpses looked like they had been drained of blood, turned into mummies, covered in eyeballs, looking extremely eerie.

The eyeballs seemed to have a mind of their own, rolling around, shining with a blood-red glow.

"Hahaha, you big dummies, come and catch me!"

The voice of the doll in the red dress came from behind.

The two turned to look, and the doll hadn’t entered the room, only hiding in a corner of the door frame.

Yuze narrowed his eyes.

When the doll met his gaze, it couldn’t help but shiver and quickly ran away.

The two chased after it.

Josh frowned slightly, "Don’t you feel like the doll is deliberately leading us to open these doors?"

Yuze nodded.

But the doll seemed to have no ill intent, so the two rushed forward.

Yuze kicked open a third door with his long legs.

The room was still dark.

This time, Yuze got smart and found the light switch on the wall at the entrance, lighting up the room instantly.

It was a space resembling a children’s room.

On the bed were dolls with eerie designs, and strange "toys" were scattered all over the floor. Most were made from human body parts, strung together, bizarre yet inexplicably playful.

"I knew I wasn’t wrong about you." A cheerful voice of a young boy came from behind.

Josh and Yuze turned around and saw two figures at the door.

It was the red-dressed boy from the third floor, with the red-dressed doll perched on his shoulder.

The two stood in the corridor, smilingly watching Josh and Yuze in the room, their gazes cold.

Josh furrowed his brow slightly, "You’ve been following us, haven’t you? From the first floor until now, why are you following us?"

The boy didn’t answer directly, just said, "I have high hopes for you, don’t die too quickly ~ just a reminder, the food here is best not consumed, or else..."

He laughed sinisterly, turning into a blood mist with the doll on his shoulder and disappearing.

Josh felt bewildered.

Did they lure her and Yuze here just to open these doors for some cryptic haunting?

Yuze suddenly pulled out two silver room cards from his pocket.

Josh looked at the things in his hand, "What is this?"

Yuze shook his head, "Looks like room cards, probably given by that kid just now."

Josh frowned slightly, took a card, and looked at it. The card even had a name.

One was "Zhenzhen," and the other was "Little Mu."

A light bulb went off in Josh’s head, "Could this be the key to the fifth floor?"

Yuze thought for a moment and nodded, "It should be."

The receptionist said that at midnight, the guests would go to the fifth floor, and the shadow they saw trying to eat them was one of the guests here.

After kicking open three rooms, Josh found that the room occupants here were all like that, just a shadow without a distinct shape.

Just like the shadow resident they saw at the entrance yesterday.

Josh held the identity card, looked at Yuze.

The two exchanged a glance, with a mutual understanding.

Thumping sounds of door kicking echoed in the corridor.

Early in the morning, there were still unsleeping shadows, screaming with blankets over them, knocked out by Yuze’s punch.

They robbed four rooms, found four silver identity cards, and only then left satisfied.

At dusk.

The front desk was crowded with six or seven shadows, chattering incessantly, and the doll at the counter was turning pale, trying to cope.

"What are you doing? We were still asleep, and someone barged in!"

"This is an invasion of privacy, do you know that?"

"The room doors are too flimsy, when will you find someone to fix them?"

"We were scared! You must compensate us!"

"Aren’t these supposedly the safest rooms?"

"Kicked down with one blow, how can we hide if enemies come to seek revenge?"

"Say something! How are you handling this? Who did it? Who kicked our doors down?"

"So slow in handling things! We all woke up to find our doors down, and you didn’t even know!"

The doll was going crazy from the chatter but was helpless, being just a small receptionist. She couldn’t afford to offend these long-term guests.

If they pursued this, complaining to her superiors, it would not be a joke; these were VIP clients, with voices carrying significant weight.

Josh and Yuze, of course, didn’t appear. They each holed up in their room with the identity badges, just waiting to head to the fifth floor with the crowd at midnight.

Another team of players wanted to follow their lead, but Yuze and Josh were too sharp, they didn’t dare to track them.

They trailed Rob and Yushi all day and found no clues except enjoying the scenery.

Jiang Can and Wu were even more so, having done nothing but map the fifth floor.

The receptionist and the guests continued to argue as time slowly passed.

At midnight.

Josh didn’t rush to open the door, first peeking through the peephole.

The corridor was covered in a crimson light, shadows stepping out one by one, dripping blood.

The shadows had no faces, only vaguely resembling women with long hair, varying heights, and different statures.

At the end of the line were Yuze and Rob with cards hanging from their necks.

Seeing this, Josh felt somewhat reassured, opened the door, and mingled beside Yuze, joining the group.

Wu trailed behind, Jiang Can and Yushi bringing up the rear.

Suddenly, the group slowed to a halt, all shadows gradually turning to look back.

Josh furrowed his brow, his body tensing.

Following their motion, Yuze turned and saw the child at the end of the line.

He signaled to Josh.

Josh turned to see the little girl in the red dress at the end of the line.
