Chapter 384 - 378: Horror Doll House 26

Josh ignored them.

Today, they had to find a way to the fifth floor.

The front desk starts work at 7 o’clock sharp.

The doll’s gaze swept over everyone present, as if counting them, and a look of regret appeared in her eyes: "Not a single one is dead yet, these people are really useless."

Josh looked at her: "We need to go to the fifth floor, could you please lead the way for us?"

The doll started to laugh sarcastically: "Sorry, I’m just a receptionist, not responsible for leading the way. If you want to go to the fifth floor... you’ll have to find your own way."

Josh frowned slightly: "Why don’t you lead the way as the front desk? We are guests, without anyone to guide us, of course, we come to you if there’s an issue. Aren’t you afraid we’ll complain with this kind of service attitude?"

The doll stared at Josh darkly: "It’s not within my service scope, why should I serve you?"

Josh shrugged: "Well, I don’t care. Your poor service makes me unhappy, so I will complain."

The doll glared at her angrily, with a chilling air coming from her eyes, and the lighting at the front desk dimmed significantly: "You dare!"

The players nearby were so frightened that they quickly stepped back, getting away from Josh for fear of being involved.

Josh remained unmoved, calmly confronting the receptionist.

Yuze casually pulled a card from the front desk: "Is this it? Feedback card? Maybe I’ll give a one-star review on it?"

The doll’s face changed dramatically: "Wait a minute!"

Yuze looked at her lazily: "What? Now you know how to get to the fifth floor? Sorry, I don’t want to hear it."

He waved his hand broadly and filled in a one-star review.

The doll screamed and rushed over, trying to tear up the review card.

But it was too late, flames erupted from under the front desk, and the doll let out a painful scream, trapped in the flames for a full 10 seconds.

Josh and Yuze raised their eyebrows in sync.

Jiang Can glanced at the little doll at the front desk: "Kid, are you okay?"

The doll, originally looking spooky and weird, now looked charred, scary, and hideous after being scorched by the fire.

The resentment emanating from the doll’s body shot up three feet high.

She stared at Yuze darkly, gritting her teeth: "You are looking for death!!"

"So, complaints really do work, huh~" Yuze seemed to have discovered something new.

He grabbed all the complaint cards from the front desk with his big hand.

The doll felt a sudden surge of ominous feelings, she lunged forward but was a step too late to snatch the complaint cards back from Yuze.

Yuze found it amusing and filled in another one-star review.

The doll got shocked, her hair frizzed.

Josh’s eyes lit up: "Let me try, let me try!"

One star review, the doll was pummeled badly.

One star review, burnt with fire.

One star review, frozen.

One star review, beaten.

Josh rubbed his chin: "I can now confirm that these realistic dolls on the fifth floor are indeed just excellently crafted dolls, not real children."

Rob was curious: "Why?"

Josh pointed at the doll, whose original shape was unrecognizable, "Look at her, even after all this, she’s not done. If it were a living person, even a corpse, after such torment, it should have turned into cooked meat, with a bit of a smell, right?"

Rob nodded in understanding: "Right."

Yuze unexpectedly raised his brow: "Pretty tough."

Barrage: [I mean, I’m starting to feel a little sorry for this little NPC for no reason.]

[It’s so small! So cute! How can you be so heartless?]

[Doll: What players, they’re Living Yamas!]

Josh leaned cheerfully on the front desk, watching the doll tormented to the point of being unrecognizable: "I’ll ask again, how do we go to the fifth floor?"

Tears almost fell from the doll’s eyes, she looked at them with resentment, just about to open her mouth, but Josh suddenly covered her mouth.

Josh glanced at the four-person group not far away warily, lowering her voice and approaching: "Keep it down, don’t let them hear."

The doll glared resentfully at the close white little earlobe.

She swore she had never felt so much resentment as today, wanting desperately to tear that ear off with her mouth.

But she dared not!

The doll held back her anger: "Every night at 12, there will be guests coming out of their rooms to go to the fifth floor. If you want to go up, just follow behind their group."

Josh nodded in realization, then asked: "Are there any precautions?"

The doll turned her head away: "I don’t know!"

Josh raised the complaint card in her hand: "Really don’t know?"

The doll exploded: "Really don’t know! I’m just a lousy receptionist, what do you expect me to know! Don’t push it too far! If you push me too hard, I’ll kill you!"

Josh laughed: "If you really could kill me, you wouldn’t be so frustrated."

Yet its fur bristles in intimidation.

She couldn’t resist, reaching out to ruffle the doll’s bristly hair: "So cute."

The front desk doll swore that since she started working, she had never been so frustrated.

Seeing that she really had nothing more to say, Josh didn’t press further and left with Yuze and the others.

They needed to find a quiet place to plan for the evening’s activities.

The four-person group nearby saw them leave and came rushing over, smugly saying: "How do you get to the fifth floor, tell us! If you don’t talk, don’t blame us for being merciless, we’re way worse than they are!"

The doll stared at this bunch of fools coldly.

They had no complaint cards in hand, they were all taken by the group earlier.

Even so, they dared to come and provoke her?!

Black air emanated from the doll’s body, with strong resentment constantly flowing out, even forming a layer of frost on the floor.

"You bunch of fools, courting death..."

"Ahhh! Help!!"

Joshua and the others didn’t return to their rooms immediately but chose to stroll on the fourth floor.

Yesterday when they came it was dark, and they hadn’t had time to observe.

Yuze and Josh paired up, while Jiang Can and Wu made one pair, Rob and Yushi another, to explore the fourth floor’s situation separately.

The front desk said that at 12 at night, they just need to blend into the group to go up to the fifth floor.

However, they knew nothing about these guests, venturing out of the room recklessly could lead to death or survival, which was yet to be known.

Josh and Yuze randomly stopped at a room door.

The door was dark, carved with some words.

No matter how close Josh got, she couldn’t make out the words, there was probably some Blinding Technique at play.

She wanted to get closer, and suddenly, flames spat out from the door.

She instinctively raised her hand, when her waist was tightened, and she was pulled aside quickly.

The fragrance of fresh grass filled her nostrils.

Josh looked up, only to see Yuze’s sharp jawline and prominent Adam’s apple.

Very sexy and very commanding.

Her waist was cinched by him, her whole being almost floating as she was embedded in his arms.

Josh’s heart inexplicably raced a bit faster, abruptly recalling the scene the Mermaid King had shown her.

In places she couldn’t see, he was carefully raising her like a child, holding her in the palm of his hand.
