Chapter 379 - 373: Horror Doll House 21
We need to find the exit quickly.
These monsters are getting more excited, and their combat power is becoming stronger.
However, the wear and tear on the players during the resistance is indeed unavoidable.
Even with Wu, the healer, it’s just a drop in the bucket.
Moreover, the boy’s previous words seemed more like a vague hint from an NPC.
They must reach the fourth floor before dark, or the situation may become worse.
Josh gripped the key tightly; if there’s a key, there must be a lock.
They must quickly find the location of the lock.
But the supermarket is large, and with so many monsters around them, escaping and finding the lock is extremely difficult.
The stalemate continues, and soon someone makes a mistake and is knocked away by a monster.
Josh hurriedly used the Spider Silk to pull Yushi back.
She looked towards the horde of monsters and had an idea.
Yuze was fighting the monsters.
Josh watched as Rob and Yuze were being surrounded by monsters.
She rushed forward.
Yuze seemed to sense something, quickly turned around, and looked in Josh’s direction.
Josh lunged towards him.
Anxiety rose in Yuze’s chest, and he hastily reached out to catch her.
A monster suddenly charged out, knocking Josh away completely.
The key in her hand was knocked flying.
The moment the monsters and other team players hidden in the dark saw the key, they swarmed towards it.
"Grab the key!" Josh shouted to Yuze.
Yuze didn’t even bat an eyelid, diving forward to catch Josh, preventing her from crashing into the shelves.
The monsters and players fought desperately for the key.
Rob drew his bow to shoot, and Yushi also lashed out with his whip to grab it.
But it was all to no avail; there were too many monsters piled on the key.
The sky outside gradually darkened.
The air became increasingly filled with the scent of blood.
Josh suddenly looked up towards the ceiling: "Captain, don’t you feel like the ceiling is getting lower?"
Yuze glanced up at the ceiling, frowning slightly: "Not sure, why?"
Josh stared at the ceiling: "I feel like the ceiling has gotten lower."
Yuze looked at the ceiling’s corners: "It hasn’t lowered; the ceiling is at the same level as the wall lamps."
Josh tensed her Spider Silk warily, distinctly feeling the space being compressed.
Yuze suddenly added: "The floor is rising."
Josh looked at him: "The floor is rising?"
Yuze nodded: "It’s risen by two centimeters."
Rob clicked his tongue: "Seriously? You can feel a two-centimeter rise?"
Yuze glanced at him: "I’m not like you, with the dull sensitivity of a pig."
Rob puffed his cheeks: "Consider that a compliment."
Yuze smirked and looked away.
The monsters continued to fight for the key.
Josh discreetly manipulated the Spider Silk, pulling away approaching players.
Someone sharp-eyed noticed her move, angrily shouting: "What are you doing?"
Josh shrugged innocently: "I didn’t do anything!"
The player snapped: "It’s already this time, if you’re not grabbing the key, don’t stop others from trying, okay?"
"Yeah! Without the key to the fourth floor, we’ll die! If you want to die, don’t drag us with you!"
"This is crazy, you’re not helping but hindering!"
The players were already frantic for the key and grew angrier seeing Josh sneaking them with the Spider Silk, keeping them away from the key.
Was sabotaging meant to kill them?
Or did she want company in death?
Josh cared little about their cursing; now that they noticed, she openly acted.
After pulling them aside, Rob, Yushi, and Jiang Can moved in to try and reclaim the key.
But the mass of monsters was too dense, there was no way to squeeze in!
Seeing everyone closing in, the monsters grew increasingly frenzied.
The floor’s rising speed increased.
Now everyone could clearly feel the distance between the ceiling and floor shrinking, as the space between the shelves and ceiling became visible reduced.
Josh stared towards where the monsters were.
Yuze seemed to know what she intended, joining the queue grabbing for the key.
The speed of the ceiling and floor closing quickened, the nearby shelves were pressed by the ceiling, becoming distorted.
Food was scattered all over the floor, but no one had the mind to care.
As the ceiling and floor converged, the sense of oppression in the space became increasingly apparent, an indescribable pressure filled the air, making it hard for anyone to breathe.
If they couldn’t acquire the key and reach the fourth floor before nightfall, undoubtedly they would be crushed into mincemeat.
This kind of death was too cruel; no one wanted such an experience.
Watching the ceiling and floor distance close further.
Tall guys like Yuze were already unable to stand upright.
The monsters panicked, violently flinging approaching players away.
Leading the group, a monster took the key and dashed in a certain direction, everyone else quickly followed.
But with the ceiling continuously pressing down, nearly everyone couldn’t stand upright and run properly anymore, let alone the monsters.
The large, muscular monsters could only crawl on the ground to move forward.
Players wanted to climb up to catch the monsters, but Josh dragged them back down.
Then members of the Golden Shit Stirrer squad surged forward.
Josh glanced at the players who were thrown behind and mocked: "Hurry up, if you want to live, don’t crawl so slowly."
The players: "...!!" Damn, they wanted to tear her mouth off!
The monsters clustered in a corner.
In the corner was a tattered doll in a red dress, the monster inserted the key into the doll’s back and gently twisted it.
With a clack, a ball of black light appeared beside them.
The ceiling had pressed so low that players could only crawl on the ground to progress, just slightly lifting an arm would touch the ceiling with their backs.
Seeing this, Josh quickly retracted the Spider Silk, the key flew back into her hand.
Yuze swiftly grabbed her waistband, flinging her right into the black light ball.
The monsters roared in anger, screeching as they dove towards the black hole.
Josh hastily tugged on the Spider Silk, pulling all four teammates and Wu to her side.
The six of them thrillingly passed through the black hole, reaching the fourth floor.
[Ding! Congratulations to the Golden Shit Stirrer team for being the first team to reach the fourth floor.]
Many players quickly grabbed onto the monster’s legs, using their strength to get pulled to the fourth floor as well.
The black hole was continuously shrinking.
The monsters trying to struggle and crawl out of the black hole were dragged back down by the players below.
Some players poked their heads through gaps, but the black hole had become very small.
Caught with their heads lodged, players looked at those already across in terror: "Save me! Save me!"
The other players felt a bit uneasy and rushed forward to pull them out.
But the shrinking black hole was tougher than steel walls.
The player couldn’t get free.
The black hole kept shrinking, and the player’s head, caught and unable to move, was severed in two.
Though knowing the terror of the God Creation Game,
To see such a gruesome scene happen nearby, everyone couldn’t help but feel a little rueful.
There were 30 people who entered, now only 10 remain.
Besides the full Golden Shit Stirrer team and Wu, there were only four survivors on the other side, just enough to form a team but missing one teammate.
