I'm an Undercover Witch, Not a Bed-Warming Witch!

Chapter 9

Chapter 9

9. The Class Monitor Position

Bai Wei: "I see. I understand. How about this? Come to my office first. There are some things I'd like to discuss with you."

Although the Illusion Academy had a terrible reputation, they actually taught real skills. Every student from the Illusion Academy was an elite of the Witch Academy. Otherwise, did people think the minimum requirement of four students per major that the Witch Academy set was just for fun? It was specifically to accommodate the Illusion Academy.

It was just that these people used illusion magic for improper things every day. The Illusion Academies in other star systems were perfectly normal. In the end, it was that improper mentor who had corrupted the atmosphere of the Illusion Academy.

Thinking of this, Bai Wei's mind conjured up Zi Yan's lecherous expression as she looked at her. She could not help but shiver.

"Hello, Teacher. I'm Meng Lian."

Just then, Meng Lian arrived at the office. Bai Wei looked up and swallowed.

That figure, those curves, that swaying motion. This was too seductive!

Meng Lian had run over and was slightly out of breath. Her dress was a bit disheveled. Her chest bounced with each breath, making Bai Wei feel dizzy.

Bai Wei felt an urge to use the restroom, but she held it back. She kept telling herself that she was a teacher. Meng Lian was her student. A teacher and student was impossible.

"Meng Lian, congratulations on successfully passing the entrance exam. Your Senior Sister also told me about your situation. If you've already decided to join the Illusion Academy, then for the next year, as long as you don't fail more than two subjects, you can go directly to the Illusion Academy when it's time to choose your major."

"Also, now that you've passed the entrance exam, you are already a true witch. This means you have officially enrolled in the Witch Academy. This is your student ID. You can use it to leave the new student area and go to the actual Witch Academy."

Meng Lian took the red student ID and thanked her. "Thank you, Teacher."

"Oh, right. You should be the first person in our class to successfully transform. Are you interested in becoming the Class Monitor?"

Class Monitor?

Hearing this, Meng Lian's heart stirred. After thinking for a moment, she decided to decline.

"Teacher, I... my personality is a bit shy. Being Class Monitor might be..."

After all, her purpose in coming to the Witch Academy was not pure. Keeping a low profile and avoiding attention was the policy she needed to follow.

"I see. I understand. If you change your mind later, you can let me know. During the entrance exam period, I will reserve this position for you."

Bai Wei felt a bit regretful hearing Meng Lian's answer. She actually had her own selfish reasons. Although the Illusion Academy was powerful, those people were just too eccentric. Meng Lian seemed very well-behaved now, but who knew what she would become next year after being influenced by those people? Bai Wei wanted Meng Lian to serve as Class Monitor and have more contact with student leaders from other academies. At least it would cultivate some sense of propriety. Maybe that way, Meng Lian would not become so outrageous in the future.

Bai Wei did not want to see Meng Lian on the front page of the academy news next year.

"Thank you, Teacher. I appreciate your kindness. I'll go back and think about it carefully. I'll give you a definite reply before the entrance exam ends."

"No problem. I just mentioned it casually. Don't feel too much pressure. There are still five days until the entrance exam ends. Go pick up your textbooks first. Preview them and familiarize yourself with the material so you can be prepared."

"This is the address of the resource room."

Meng Lian thanked her, then respectfully left the office.

Now Bai Wei was alone in the office. She worked on her lesson plans for a while, but the image of Meng Lian's chest kept distracting her. She felt parched. Bai Wei looked around to confirm she was the only one in the office, and her face turned red.

She extended her slender hand and noticed that the nails on her middle and ring fingers seemed a bit long. She trimmed them, then secretly opened her computer and played one of her treasured videos.

And her fingers began to...

……

Following the address Bai Wei gave her, Meng Lian went to the resource room and picked up a large stack of textbooks. She carried these books to the classroom, completely exhausted.

With her chest in the way, she could not move them all at once. Although she temporarily rested her chest on top of the books while carrying them to save some effort, she was still completely worn out.

Meng Lian slumped over her desk, her face full of despair.

Just then, Gabriel walked into the classroom. Her auto-lock targeting instantly activated and locked onto Meng Lian's chest, which was currently swaying like a swing.

"Meng Lian? What's wrong?"

Gabriel did not know what was happening to her. Why was she always so interested in these things? She struggled to look away, but found that her auto-lock targeting would not turn off no matter what she did.

"It's Gabriel. Nothing's wrong. I'm just tired from moving books. Resting for a bit."

Meng Lian turned her face toward Gabriel, her voice muffled against the desk.

Gabriel was about to say something when a careless voice interrupted her. "Waaah, Gabriel, I took out another four thousand credit loan. I can't even afford food. Can you support me? Holy shit, so big!"

A green figure ran in from the doorway. It was an elf. Like Gabriel, her auto-lock targeting instantly activated, and she cried out in surprise.

If big sister wasn't big, would she still be called big sister?

Meng Lian complained internally. Her chest was squeezed so tight she could barely breathe.

"Phoeby..."

Gabriel looked embarrassed. Phoeby also realized her rudeness. She pressed her palms together and frantically apologized to Meng Lian. "Sorry, sorry, I..."

"It's fine."

Meng Lian sat up straight and waved her hand. She had just heard Phoeby's words and looked at Gabriel. "You two don't have credits for food?"

Gabriel's eyes shifted away. But Phoeby, without a care in the world, answered loudly. "Yeah. The Witch Potions we bought last night didn't work. Today we took out another four thousand credit loan and bought two more bottles. Now we don't have anything left."

"I see."

Hearing this, Meng Lian thought for a moment, then transferred three hundred credits to Gabriel.

Gabriel received it and looked surprised. She was about to say something when she saw Meng Lian had sent another message. "Use these three hundred credits for you and your friend as an emergency. Pay me back when you have credits later."

Seeing this, Gabriel felt a warm current in her heart, but she was also puzzled.

Why? They had only met a few times and exchanged a few words. Why would the other person suddenly extend a helping hand?

Gabriel looked at Meng Lian. Meng Lian winked at her and mouthed some words.

Keep it secret. Thanks.

Gabriel instantly understood and felt deeply shocked.

"Good luck. I'm sure you two will succeed."

Meng Lian encouraged Gabriel for a moment, then left.

Phoeby watched Meng Lian's retreating figure with envy. "I'm so jealous of her. She doesn't have to worry about loans at all."

Gabriel did not speak. Looking at her private messages with Meng Lian, the corners of her mouth curled up.

Meng Lian: "Gabriel, I know you've guessed that I didn't drink a Witch Potion. What I mean is, your guess is correct. So please help me keep it a secret. Thanks."

Meng Lian: (*^▽^*)
