Chapter 41
Chapter 41
41. Under the Moonlight
Night fell. Inside Dormitory 404, Meng Lian had prepared two sets of bedding on the bed, one large and one small.
"You'll sleep here tonight."
Meng Lian pointed at the small quilt and spoke to Jiang Jiang.
Jiang Jiang blinked. "Okay... yes."
This morning, Meng Lian had asked around and discovered that no one knew Jiang Jiang's dormitory number. To ensure Jiang Jiang had somewhere to sleep, Bai Wei suggested that Meng Lian take Jiang Jiang back to her own dormitory.
Though Meng Lian felt somewhat reluctant, it was her supervisor's suggestion, and she couldn't exactly refuse, so she agreed.
So this afternoon, Meng Lian took Jiang Jiang shopping at Witch Academy with Gabriel and Phoeby, buying some clothes for Jiang Jiang's petite frame and a children's bedding set.
Fortunately, Jiang Jiang was quite dull and wooden, and Meng Lian wasn't into little girls anyway, so she didn't feel particularly uncomfortable about sleeping in the same room as her.
It wasn't like Jiang Jiang would suddenly transform into a gorgeous zombie woman in the middle of the night and sneak into her bed, right?
Please. That kind of plot only happened in Nordlin. In reality? Not happening.
"By the way, Jiang Jiang, do you want to shower? Want to go first?"
Meng Lian had a habit of showering before bed. She asked Jiang Jiang, who shook her head in response.
"No... want... hot."
Right. Zombies were creatures of darkness, naturally averse to anything warm. Making her shower meant she could only bathe in ice water.
But even the cold water in the bathroom was still a bit too warm for Jiang Jiang, so Meng Lian didn't insist. She grabbed her change of clothes, walked into the bathroom, closed the door tightly, and began enjoying a comfortable soak.
With an extra person in the dormitory, an hour later, Meng Lian finished her bath, dried herself off in the bathroom, and put on her pajamas before stepping out to dry her hair.
Jiang Jiang hadn't moved much. She just sat on the edge of the bed, gazing at the full moon outside the window, her hollow eyes betraying not the slightest emotion.
Looking at the doll-like Jiang Jiang, Meng Lian climbed into bed and burrowed under her own covers.
Oh yes. The bed was still the most comfortable place.
Meng Lian paid no more attention to Jiang Jiang. This dull little zombie would only respond if asked a question. Chatting with her was pure effort, so Meng Lian began exploring the newly unlocked features on her phone.
Now her phone had search and download functions. She tapped into the newly appeared app store and found quite a variety of software: games, social apps, transportation, everything one could want.
There was a ranking list in the app store. Meng Lian tapped in and discovered that the most popular one was actually a forum called Witch Forum.
Although Witch Forum ranked first, its rating was incredibly low, only 1.6 stars. Meng Lian checked the comments and found millions of them, with eighty percent giving one star.
Wow, so many people. What kind of horrible things did this app do?
Meng Lian casually scrolled through a few comments and immediately laughed out loud.
Sword Princess Is Also A Witch: "If I didn't have to rate to comment, I'd give this app zero stars. Damn it, are the people here raised on rage? Their mouths are full of filth, absolutely disgusting. Stupid app, what a piece of garbage."
My Fireball Is Huge Bear With It: "What did fireball ever do to you? So what if I only know fireball? And they say fireball is some elementary school trick. Your grandma's, has your elementary schooler's fireball ever been as big as a star? Garbage app, I don't even know who uses this trash. Pah!"
Tentacle Enthusiast: "What's wrong with liking tentacles? They call me disgusting. If you don't like it, just scroll past. What's the point of arguing with me? Do the people on this app all have brain damage? I told her to meet me in person, I'd fry her alive, and she just deletes my comment and bans me. I @#$%&**"
"..."
What a massive breakdown fest.
Looking at these comments, it was obvious these people had been flamed into a breakdown and came here to vent.
But this also made Meng Lian deeply interested in Witch Forum. It looked way more entertaining than the messaging app.
Meng Lian eagerly downloaded Witch Forum and opened it to find many different types of forums: Fireball Forum, Tentacle Forum, Loli Forum... all sorts of forums that made her dizzy.
Of course, there were also forums for Witch Academy, quite a few of them, organized by star system.
Meng Lian searched for Andromeda Witch Academy, and soon a forum with a hundred billion followers popped up.
Andromeda Witch Academy was the academy Meng Lian attended. She aimlessly browsed the forum and found topics of all kinds: selling pets, information exchange, even people looking for one-night stands.
Meng Lian marveled continuously at how open-minded witches were, her small finger constantly swiping the screen, quickly browsing through the content the system recommended to her.
Just then, she suddenly heard a sound near her ear. Startled, she turned her head and found herself staring directly into Jiang Jiang's pitch-black pupils.
Sometime without her noticing, Jiang Jiang had climbed onto the bed and leaned right up to her ear.
"Haha, are you interested in this?"
Jiang Jiang's stare made her skin crawl. Meng Lian laughed awkwardly and angled her phone screen toward Jiang Jiang's face.
Jiang Jiang said nothing, her gaze drifting downward. Only then did Meng Lian realize that Jiang Jiang wasn't looking at her phone, but at her chest.
Meng Lian's face instantly flushed red. She covered herself with the quilt, shielding her exposed figure, and glared at Jiang Jiang. For some reason, she sensed a trace of grievance from her.
But when she looked again, Jiang Jiang was just as dull and wooden as ever, so Meng Lian didn't dwell on it.
Forget it. Why bicker with a little girl?
It was already ten at night. After reading so many posts, Meng Lian began to feel drowsy. She tucked Jiang Jiang in properly, turned off the light, and fell into a deep sleep.
Wait, do zombies even sleep?
This question suddenly occurred to Meng Lian. She tried to open her eyes urgently, but an extremely familiar dizziness suddenly washed over her.
Nordlin, are you doing this on purpose!
Meng Lian was pulled into Nordlin. Now she could only pray that Jiang Jiang really wasn't a problem.
Jiang Jiang lay in the small quilt, her dark eyes wide open, expressionless.
The moonlight was beautiful tonight. Bright, clear moonlight shone through the window onto Jiang Jiang, and her dull eyes gradually began to gain color.
The corners of Jiang Jiang's mouth curved slightly, and her body underwent earth-shattering changes.
"Rrrrip!"
Amidst the quiet room, the sound of fabric tearing rang out, and a noticeable depression appeared in Meng Lian's soft bed.
"Hah, hah..."
Mixed with the sound of tearing fabric were some alluring gasps, and under the moonlight, a shadow with an incredibly voluptuous figure appeared on the wall.
"Really, the clothes are so small. So troublesome every night."
Beside Meng Lian, Jiang Jiang's petite form was completely gone, replaced by a stunning woman draped in tattered strips of clothing, her skin pale, her black hair falling to her waist.
Jiang Jiang cleaned the shredded fabric from her body, then straightened up and stood before the sleeping Meng Lian.
Her figure was fully exposed. She looked down at Meng Lian sleeping beneath her and couldn't help licking her red lips.
She straddled Meng Lian directly. Meng Lian only furrowed her brows slightly, showing no sign of waking.
Jiang Jiang gazed at Meng Lian's sleeping face and narrowed her eyes. Then she extended her slender fingers, gently tracing Meng Lian's soft lips. Feeling the moisture on her fingertips, the corners of Jiang Jiang's mouth curled upward.
"So tempting. What should I do with you, Class Monitor?"
