Raiden found himself pushed away by Marina, as she cursed him and her mother the entire time.
"I have a father, so don’t get so close to my mom again!!"
Bang!!
Marina pushed him out of the room before slamming the door in his face.
"What’s the big deal anyway? I was just talking to her normally. You don’t need to be so aggressive..." Raiden muttered under his breath.
Meanwhile, Woolie, who was standing beside him, noted down this incident in detail in his mind.
’Got to tell big sister about how this human was bothering that woman, I am sure she will give me treats for it.’( ｡ •̀ ◡ •́ ｡)
"Anyway, you were amazing out there, Woolie. I will make sure to get you a big treat when we are back home. Let’s go, we still need to watch Morgana’s and Cinder’s match. Maybe we’ll be fighting them next." Poor Raiden promised him, having no idea that the traitor had already sold him out in his mind.
"Woolie!~"
Raiden took Woolie and went towards the stage to see Morgana’s fight, only to see the sight that froze him dead in his tracks.
In the centre of the stage was a crying Morgana, cradling something in her arms.
"Cinder!! Wake up, Cinder!! Medic!! Where the hell is the medical staff!! I need help!! Hurry!!!" Her voice sounded hoarse and broken as she cried for help.
Hearing this, Raiden wasted no time and jumped on the stage near her, only to come across a gruesome sight.
Cinder lay there in the centre of the stage, her body covered in blood.
Her crown was broken and ripped off, with constant blood flowing down, and one of her legs was missing, as if it had been torn out by something savage. But the biggest worry was not that.
Raiden could see that half of her left wing was entirely missing, as if it had been savagely ripped off by someone off her body. Her breath was extremely weak and faint, as if she was about to go out anytime.
"Raiden!! Cinder, please help Cinder!! My powers aren’t fixing her!!" Morgana saw Raiden appear near her, and she cried in desperation, gripping his shirt with full force.
"Woolie!!" Little sister!! Who did this?! Who did this to her?!!
Woolie’s body started shaking in anger as he looked at the helpless Cinder lying on the ground.
"Don’t worry, everything will be okay. Hurry up and call your grandfather. He can heal her." Raiden spoke in a calm tone as he placated Morgana by patting her head.
"Grandfather!! Yes, I should call him!! He will fix everything!!" Morgana forgot about him and took her phone out in panic, hurriedly dialling her phone.
Meanwhile, Raiden crouched down beside Cinder and put his hand on top of her body
"System, show me her status."

Looking at her current condition, a grim look appeared on his face. He didn’t aim to heal her up completely, but at least stabilise her condition a little bit.
"Upgrade," Raiden muttered in a low voice.

Instantly, he felt his body go weak as an enormous amount of power slipped out of his body, leaving him feeling dizzy and almost faint on the spot.
Upgrading her potential took almost ten times the energy that was required to upgrade Woolie, indicating the nobility of her bloodline.
But he held on as he saw the change in her condition at the speed visible to his naked eyes.
Her crown had stopped bleeding entirely, same with her foot, and only her wing was bleeding a little, but the speed had slowed down a lot.
Her breathing also grew from faint to stable. She still looked critically injured, but not as much as before.

Seeing the change in status, especially on the verge of death, Raiden heaved a sigh of relief.
All of this happened in the blink of an eye, just as Morgana finished dialling her grandfather.
"Heh, so much drama. Don’t step on the stage if you are not prepared to face death." A mocking voice sounded from the side, making Raiden turn his head around in fury.
In front of him stood the golden-haired bastard, Kael Goldwyn. Next to him stood the three-eyed lion, its paws and mouth stained dark with blood.
"You did this?" Raiden questioned in a barely controlled tone.
"Of course I did. She was so pathetically weak, I wonder what gave her the confidence to stand up and challenge me. I never wondered what gave her the confidence. Now she is suffering due to her arrogance." Kael called out arrogantly, with his pet lion roaring along in agreement.
"It’s a competition, not a life and death competition. Why did you go so far?" Raiden questioned.
"What a joke. All fights in life are life and death competitions. That’s how the world works, boy. If you are not prepared for the consequences, don’t step up for it." Kael narrowed his eyes as he called it out.
"Well said, young boy of the Goldwyn clan. All fights are life and death indeed, with serious consequences. So, are you prepared to face the consequences of hurting my Solaris clan now?" A calm voice called out from behind Raiden, which somehow drove chills down Raiden’s spine.
"Grandpa!!"

The air itself cracked as an unimaginable pressure fell upon the stage, pushing it down further and further, pressing Kael down in the ground.
