I Found a Door to the Elven Realm

Chapter 116: The Whole Village Heard What?!

Chapter 116: The Whole Village Heard What?!

Eren woke up on the morning of the third day.

His head finally felt clear. He blinked at the wooden ceiling and took a breath.

The air in the bedroom was thick. It smelled heavily of sweat, body fluids and the undeniable musk of a two-day marathon of absolute madness.

What the hell was wrong with me?

For almost forty-eight hours he hadn’t left the house. He hadn’t even let the women leave. The moment anyone tried to step near the front door he felt an insane urge to protect them. He would grab them, pull them back inside and drag them straight to the bedroom. It was like his awakened bloodline viewed simply getting dressed and going outside as a death sentence.

He had acted like a wild animal guarding its den. He hadn’t slept. He had spent hours just sitting on the edge of the bed, staring out the window or burying his face in Emily’s neck to smell her skin while Selena and Lyra recovered from his relentless stamina.

He looked down.

Selena was curled up against his left side with her arm draped over his chest. Lyra was tangled in the sheets near his feet, completely exhausted. Emily was sleeping on his right, her back pressed flush against his side.

Even though he had tried to be gentle he could see faint bruises forming on Selena’s hips and Lyra’s thighs. Their bodies were delicate compared to his sixty-plus physical stats. They had endured his endless, irrational libido without complaining once. Emily, despite being pregnant, had been his anchor. She hadn’t fought his madness; she had simply endured it, holding him and letting him exhaust the feral energy out of his system.

I owe them big time. I need to make this up to them.

He promised himself he would take them on a proper, peaceful vacation to Earth soon. No monsters, no barricades, just a comfortable bed and maybe a trip to a quiet beach house if he could rent one. He especially wanted to do something sweet and non-sexual for Emily. She had handled his two days of insanity with incredible patience.

He carefully slipped out of the bed and made sure not to wake any of them. He picked up his torn pants from the floor and quietly walked out of the room.

The living room was a mess but he didn’t care. He needed fresh air.

He stepped outside into the morning sun and immediately noticed the changes. The village felt different.

He walked toward the southern perimeter where the massacre had happened two days ago. The barricades were not just repaired; they were upgraded. The elves had used thick, sharpened dark pinewood logs and reinforced them with heavy stones at the base. It looked like a proper defensive wall now that could stop a full wave of Kobolds or normal trolls. Unless a group of poison-variant Rotwood Trolls attacked all at once the village could hold this line even without him.

"Eren!" A familiar, awkward voice called out.

Thadric jogged toward him from the eastern path. The rancher elf was holding a long, dark metal spear. It didn’t look like a crude monster weapon. It had a clean edge and a solid shaft.

"Nice spear." Eren nodded toward the weapon.

Thadric grinned and gripped the shaft tightly. "Got it off a dead goblin leader last night. It’s surprisingly balanced."

Wait, dead goblin leader? Last night?

"What happened last night?" Eren narrowed his eyes.

Thadric scratched the back of his neck, looking a bit uncomfortable. "Right, you’ve been... busy. We had two attacks while you were inside your house."

Eren suddenly felt guiltier.. "Two?"

"The first one happened hours later of that Emily was injured. The evening of the big attack, when you butchered all of it left, they came again in a smaller scale." Thadric explained.

"A group of orcs and kobolds tried to breach the southern side, the most vulnerable defensive part. Well, we came to your house to get you but.."

Eren remembered vaguely. He remembered hearing a knock, feeling a surge of pure rage and growling through the door like an animal protecting its territory.

"You sounded sick." Thadric continued, clearly trying to be polite about Eren’s feral growling. "So we handled it ourselves. And then last night another wave hit. Goblins, kobolds and a few weird cat-beasts."

And I slept through the second one.

"How did you hold them off without Emily or me?" Eren asked. Elves were naturally inclined to avoid conflict. They preferred staying in safe zones and letting others handle the dirty work.

Thadric puffed his chest out slightly. "We have twenty more volunteers now. Men and women. They grabbed whatever knives and heavy sticks they could find. Plus the wolves helped a lot. Fury and Rury took out the cat-beasts and some of the strongest enemies."

"And Griks." A high-pitched voice interrupted.

Eren looked down. The female kobold Griks was standing behind Thadric. She wore a small and oversized tunic someone had given her.

"Griks help too." The kobold said in broken Elvish. "Bad kobolds attack. Barbarians. Griks yell their tactics. Tell tall-ears where barbarians strike next."

Thadric nodded eagerly. "She’s not lying. She actually organized the defense on the fly. And Eren... she did something crazy. A barbarian kobold swung a scimitar at Toris and Griks shot a chunk of ice right into its face."

Eren stared at the small kobold. Ice magic?

Griks didn’t even have a class yet. She wasn’t Level 15. The fact that she was smarter and more human-like than the other kobolds was already strange but using elemental magic without a class was almost impossible according to the system rules Emily had explained to him.

I need to sit down and have a long talk with this little lizardish cutie later.

"Good job, Griks." Eren touched the small kobold’s straight black hair and patted her head. "Good job, everyone. I’m proud of you."

He really was. The village was finally maturing. With Mel and Nimbo currently on Earth acting as Rosa’s shadows, Thadric and Rabbu-i had stepped up. The rookies were becoming veterans too.

Eren walked away. The elves needed better weapons. They needed real swords, real crossbows and longbows not just farming tools or small knifes that even he didn’t try using anymore. Scimitars were nice but their numbers and quality were questionable at best.

He also desperately wanted to find a way to share his skills with them. He had gotten his wolf eyes skill from the cubs because system saw him as a beast. But elves were a normal smart race. And even if he could transfer somehow he didn’t have any real active skill to boost their perfformance in combat.

Passive skills were a dead end for beast kind according to Emily, Cubs or even to this weird Kobold girl.

Maybe when an active skill like lovely eyes, bow or sword mastery evolves I can teach it. If I could teach Door Master we could evacuate the whole village to Earth in an emergency.

He could dream all day but he was almost sure of likelihood of it’s happening was almost zero. He had to find trustworthy humans* and use them as combat part of the village.

He spent the rest of the day helping Selena around the village. First he hung out in the kitchen at the back of her restaurant and chopped vegetables and enjoyed the simple mindless work.

By late afternoon Oldir walked into the kitchen to grab a snack. The old lumber boss took a bite of an apple and leaned against the counter.

"You look better today, boy." Oldir said dryly. "The whole neighborhood was getting tired of listening to your house."

Eren nearly dropped his knife. He felt his face heat up instantly.

"You... you guys could hear that?" Eren asked. His voice cracked slightly.

Oldir chuckled. "From the first night you and that hunter girl had the whole village knew everything and talking everything behind your back. More than a month now..."

"You’re a half-elf with the stamina of a troll or a dragon. What did you expect?"

God, I don’t want to show my face around here. That stupid dragon should come and burn me into nothingness...

Because Emily’s bedroom was currently a disaster zone—the bed frame was cracked, the sheets were hanging outside to dry and the room needed to air out for at least a week—they decided to change locations for the night.

They moved to Selena’s small house for today.

It was a small and incredibly cozy one-room cabin attached to the side of her restaurant. It smelled like dried herbs, cinnamon and clean linen. This wasn’t Eren’s first time coming here but other times he just came to chat or try some secret wine stash she was hiding from the alcoholic elves.

This time Eren was half like an owner and he didn’t shy away from looking and examining the shy Selena’s under-wears while she was in his arm struggling..

That evening the four of them sat on the large floor mattress Selena had prepared. They ate a rich hearty stew and drank a sweet fruity wine Selena had been saving from her childhood days. She said her parents died protecting the village a long time ago and she was left with her mother’s old duty.

Eren asked how long ago this happened exactly but both Lyra and Selena looked at him like he broke a taboo.

So we can’t ask the age of women here huh..But Emily asked mine and told her age like it wasn’t a big deal. She is really a goddess in human form.

No, actually in Elf form but she is my sexy elf-angel..!

After a little drinking and smooth flirting Emily tried non alchoholic fruit juice the atmosphere was completely different from the first hour. It was even different from the two days of raw s*x marathon.

It wasn’t driven by raw feral instincts tonight. No this was warm playful and intimate like Eren never expected to happen!
