I Don't Want To Be An Omega In My Sister's Trashy Reverse Harem [BL]

Chapter 198: Rin’s Truth!

Chapter 198: Rin’s Truth!

Lady Mirielle stormed across the garden with quick, irritated steps, her gown sweeping angrily behind her like a flame. Evan hadn’t even turned fully when she wrapped her hands around his arm, clinging tight.

"Why didn’t you teach me how to throw?" she demanded, her voice rising higher than usual. "And now you’ve taken all the slaves away because of that boy... because of Rin!"

Evan’s face didn’t shift much, but the hint of annoyance flickered in his eyes. He gently removed her hands from his arm as if peeling off wet fabric.

"Don’t you have a tea party to attend?" he asked calmly.

Mirielle stiffened. "Are you sending me away so you can spend more time with him? Is that it?"

Evan’s smile came slowly, relaxed.

"My son is the one who is going to marry Rin. Not me."

Her mouth fell open. "Then why do you keep looking at him that way?"

Evan gave a small grin that made her chest tighten with irritation.

"What’s wrong with looking at my future son-in-law?"

Mirielle inhaled sharply, but before she could throw another complaint, Evan cut her off with a polite but firm tone.

"Don’t keep the other ladies waiting."

And with that, he turned and walked away, leaving her standing there with her pride bruised and her fury swelling.

She clenched her fist so hard her nails dug into her palm. "Maid!" she snapped.

Her maid hurried over. "My lady?"

"Take me to my room. Dress me up properly." Her voice shook with anger and excitement. "We’re visiting the Hertford house today. And this time, I won’t let any lady there outshine me like they always do."

The maid bowed quickly, knowing better than to say anything. Mirielle walked ahead with her mind brewing plans, gossip, and stories she couldn’t wait to spill to the ladies.

Rin pushed open the door to Winter’s room quietly. Winter was sitting on the bed, a book in his small hands, reading seriously. Sasha was still sleeping beside him, curled slightly as if protecting the boy even in sleep.

Winter looked up first. His eyes widened, and his lips parted as if to shout Rin’s name.

Rin placed a finger softly on his own lips. "Shh... don’t wake Sasha."

Winter nodded very quickly.

Rin walked closer and ruffled the boy’s hair. "Did you eat breakfast already?"

Winter nodded again.

Rin glanced at Sasha. The man looked exhausted, like someone who kept awake all night without blinking. His guard duty must have drained him.

Rin whispered, "Let’s go to the balcony instead. Let him rest for a bit."

Winter agreed with a small smile.

Rin picked up his jacket, snacks, and two large lounge chairs—floating them gently with telekinesis. Winter didn’t even look away from his book; he simply followed the smell of snacks, focused like a little scholar.

Once they reached outside, Winter settled into the seat, still reading while munching quietly. Rin took the sunniest spot, lying back and letting the warmth cover him. After all the stress from the garden, resting felt almost like medicine.

"We’re heading home tomorrow," Rin said casually.

"Okay," Winter replied without looking up.

Rin blinked. "Just okay? Are you not even crying? No begging to stay?"

Winter finally looked up from the book and tilted his head. "Should I cry?"

Rin laughed. "No, you shouldn’t. It’s just... You’ve matured since you got here."

Winter smiled to himself and continued reading. He reached for snacks with his small hand, missing the bowl. Rin smiled and handed him one.

While they were outside, Sasha jolted awake on the bed. His hand shot out to the empty sheets beside him.

"Winter?!" he said, panic rising. His eyes darted around until he saw the boy sitting in the shade. His breath caught when he noticed the second chair.

Sasha hurried to the balcony and stopped dead in his tracks.

Rin was lying under the sun... half naked, his skin almost shining. His hair caught the light, making him look unreal. Sasha swallowed hard, his mouth suddenly dry.

Rin turned his head lazily. "Oh, you’re awake."

Sasha froze. "I... I apologise. fell asleep... I..."

"It’s fine," Rin said, sitting up. "You were tired. You needed rest."

Sasha lowered his head. He didn’t trust himself to speak. Rin’s calm, soft tone felt too gentle for someone like him.

Rin stood and walked to him. In a sudden, firm movement, he guided Sasha into the chair he had been lying on.

"Wait, Rin... this isn’t—"

"Sit."

Sasha sat.

Rin adjusted the shade so that both Winter and Sasha were covered from the sun. Sasha tried to stand again.

"My lord... I shouldn’t sit where you sat..."

Rin pressed him down gently but firmly.

"Watch Winter. Rest while doing it. That’s an order."

Sasha’s breath shook a little. It was embarrassing how affected he felt by such simple kindness. He bowed his head.

"Yes... Rin."

Rin smiled a little and turned away.

"Where are you headed?" Sasha asked.

Rin paused at the door, a faint blush on his face.

"My man came back."

Sasha blinked. "Your... man?"

Rin didn’t answer. He just smiled and walked away with a little bounce in his steps.

Sasha looked at Winter.

Winter whispered, "Brother likes that man with black hair too much."

Sasha whispered back, "...I can see that."

Rin rushed through the hallways like someone escaping danger and running toward comfort at the same time. He was seconds away from entering Lucien’s room when he saw him standing outside, talking with three knights in armour.

Lucien’s presence was calm. Even from far, he looked like someone who carried storms inside him but hid them well.

Rin almost jumped onto him like he usually did, wrapping around him like a clingy octopus. But the knights were still there, and Rin had enough sense not to embarrass him publicly.

Lucien lifted his head and spotted him instantly. A warm grin spread across his face as he winked. He finished giving the last order.

The knights bowed and walked away.

Lucien turned back... only to find Rin standing right in front of him already.

Lucien jolted. "Why are you so fast?" he asked, touching Rin’s nose.

Rin smirked. "I could tell you."

Lucien laughed. "I was joking."

He stepped closer. "I came earlier today. I wanted to spend..."

But Rin didn’t let him finish. His smile faded. His shoulders stiffened.

"Lucien... It’s really serious."

Lucien’s playful expression vanished at once.

Rin swallowed. "We need to talk. Just the two of us."
