"You seem... not as frail and delicate as before?"

Chen Yao scratched his head. He couldn't tell what had changed about Lin Nan, just that at a glance, her originally weak small frame seemed a bit healthier.

Chen Yao exhaled and sat down looking regretful, sighing deeply. "You ran way too fast, right? You could probably place top three if you went to a track meet. They can’t beat you."

"Y-you bet!" Lin Nan was gasping so hard she could barely speak.

"You're the most amazing." Chen Yao put on an expression of admiration, yet after running two laps, his face wasn't even red. At most his breathing and heartbeat were a bit faster.

"Hmph!" Lin Nan couldn't be bothered with her condition. Sitting on the ground with her hands on her hips and chin raised, she'd be smug first and talk later. "McDonald's! I want a grilled chicken burger!"

"My treat!"

However, at this moment, a pair of long, slender white legs suddenly inserted themselves between the two. Looking up, they saw Lilith had arrived at some point.

Lilith was holding Cola, her face full of haughty attitude. "Hmph! Bootlicker!"
