I Became the Villainess, But My Beast Husbands Can Hear My Mind?!

Chapter 219: A New Beginning (2)

Chapter 219: A New Beginning (2)

A few people tilted their heads, clearly confused. "What do you mean?" Lila asked, frowning slightly.

Aelin folded her arms lightly. "If that were enough, then you would already be pregnant by now."

Lila froze in place and the others exchanged glances, some nodding as if that made sense.

"For a woman to conceive, her body needs to be in the right condition," Aelin continued calmly. "And that doesn’t only mean physical health."

She tapped her temple lightly. "It also depends on your mind."

Lila blinked. "My... mind?"

"Yes," Aelin said. "If you’re constantly under stress, afraid, or living in discomfort, your body won’t respond the way it should."

Everyone fell into silence. Some lowered their heads, as if those words hit closer than they expected.

"You were all bound by the oath for years," Aelin went on. "You lived in fear, unsure of what would happen to you next. Even if you didn’t realize it, your body did."

To be honest, Roxanna herself didn’t understand why she could suddenly get pregnant so quickly.

[Or could it be... because I feel so safe around my husbands?] Roxanna thought, then nodded to herself. [Right. Right. Just like them, I also went through constant abuse back then.]

[So when I finally found a place where I feel safe... where I’m loved... my body and my heart just... relaxed.]

A moment later, Aelin opened her mouth again. "When your body is always tense, it focuses on survival, not on creating new life," she said gently. "But when you feel safe... when you feel at ease... your body will naturally respond differently."

Lila lowered her gaze, her fingers clutching the edge of her clothes. "So that’s why it hasn’t happened yet," she murmured.

Aelin nodded. "It’s not because you’re infertile, but because your body is still protecting you."

For a moment, everyone stayed silent until Grandma Mia finally asked, "Then what should we do?"

Roxanna replied, "We can create a good environment to make ourselves feel happy." She smiled brightly. "And... if you still have anger in your hearts, how about we release it by tearing down this settlement together."

Violence wasn’t a good way to release anger, but it seemed like the beastkins were already used to it. Since they hadn’t been able to lay a hand on Loba and his family all this time, their anger and resentment had likely built up deeply in their hearts.

Since they still couldn’t kill Loba or the evil Roxanna for a second time, they could do it by tearing apart the place that once belonged to them.

"Leader is right!" Norman said at last. "This place holds too many bad memories! That’s not good for our minds, so let’s tear it down!"

Not long after, they began raising their voices one by one. "Destroy it! Destroy it!"

"Leader, let us destroy your hut as well! That damn place also holds many bad memories!"

"Leader, let us tear down your hut too! That place also holds so many bad memories!"

Roxanna’s eyes widened, and she quickly shook her head. "No, no, no!" she said so fast that even she felt like she was rapping. "My husbands and I already rebuilt this place from the ground up, so you could say it’s not the same place anymore!"

[I’ve made so many good memories in this hut with my husbands... there’s no way I’ll let anyone destroy it!] Roxanna thought firmly. [Besides, we already threw away everything that belonged to the evil Roxanna!]

"But Leader, wouldn’t it be better if you built a bigger hut?" Marlow asked. "If we tear this one down, you could have something much larger."

A bigger place?

Roxanna paused for a moment. [Does that mean... we could have more rooms? So each of us can have our own space?]

She thought about it carefully. [It would be nice to have our own rooms, but... but... wouldn’t that mean we wouldn’t sleep together anymore?]

Her husbands often argued over who got to sleep next to her, sometimes even bickering like children, but even so... she liked it.

Sleeping all together in one place felt warm, safe, and complete. It felt much better than taking turns and sleeping alone with just one of them each night.

[But... if my husbands want—]

"No! This hut is already big enough for us!" Calen suddenly spoke up. His expression turned a little upset. After all, this was a place he had worked so hard to build with everyone.

Grandma Mia gently added, "But won’t you need a bigger space when you have many children in the future?"

Roxanna’s face turned red the moment she heard the words "many children."

She had promised herself that she would make sure each of her husbands would have their own child one day, but still... hearing it said out loud like that was just too embarrassing.

She quickly cleared her throat, trying to stay calm. "I—I can just build a second floor for them! Yes, that’s right!" she said, almost in a rush. "I don’t need to tear this place down entirely."

She crossed her arms, trying to look firm, even though her ears were still slightly red. "This hut is already enough for us. We’ve fixed it, we’ve changed it, so it’s not the same place anymore."

Calen nodded quickly. "Exactly!"

Since Roxanna insisted on not letting any of them tear down her entire hut, they finally gave up.

"Alright, then," Norman said. "But if you need help to destroy it—"

"We can destroy it ourselves, thank you," Zeir cut him off. He then changed the topic. "How about we plan which buildings we should destroy first?"

The others nodded, quickly shifting their focus. "That sounds good," Marlow said. "We should start with the places that hold the worst memories."

"The black hut!" they shouted at the same time. "Let’s tear that damn place apart! No, let’s burn it!"

"Burn it! Burn it! Burn it!"

The crowd’s voices grew louder, filled with anger that had been buried for years.
