Chapter 340 - 339: An Unexpected Surprise

Luo Xudong and Beisitian came over and saw Tian Qiu taking out two tickets. Beisitian spoke first, "We are here to visit the old military commander."Tian Qiu’s hand holding the tickets froze in midair, her face showing a brief moment of bewilderment before she chuckled and teased, "You really have a way with words!"

"Cousin, just let me take a look," Beisitian, with her bright eyes and white teeth, called out to Tian Qiu. Tian Qiu felt overwhelmed, glanced at Luo Xudong, and saw that he was smiling at Beisitian, full of affection in his eyes.

Tian Lei added, "Beibei, this matter is not simple. If they could let you see, they would have done so long ago."

Beisitian saw how stubborn the two were, neither willing to give in, so she could only sigh helplessly, deciding to leave for now.

"Let’s leave here for now," Luo Xudong suggested.

At this moment, Tian Qiu felt a bit embarrassed because she was solely focused on sending Beisitian back and hadn’t even thought about arranging a place for her to stay. Going to the Tian Family was definitely not an option, they would realize it right away. Going to the Weng Family?

Tian Qiu drove them to the guesthouse and only left after ensuring they were settled and getting the front desk’s phone number.

Luo Xudong rarely saw her with such a confused look; he gently caressed her delicate face and said, "You have so much business on this side, so I bought a courtyard. However, we can’t move in until tomorrow."

Beisitian was pleasantly surprised when she heard this, "So, we have our own house in the Capital City?"

"Yes, it’s in your name," Luo Xudong said as he affectionately ruffled her hair.

Beisitian raised her eyebrows with a smile, "So, have you been keeping a stash of money?"

Luo Xudong’s stipend would all be handed to her, and he didn’t have much left on hand since he didn’t need it in the military.

Luo Xudong chuckled, understanding she was joking, but he still explained, "It’s from that time, some of the money could not be explained or revealed, so it wasn’t handed in."

The small courtyard was within the under-construction Third Ring, a small quadrangle. The area wasn’t too small, yet not too big either. The surrounding houses had three rooms each, about ten square meters each. More than enough for the two of them, even if more people came to stay.

There was a Chinese toon tree in the courtyard, growing very well. They say it produced a lot of Chinese toon every year, perfect for making Chinese toon fish stew.

"It’s so spacious! It’s a pity we’re in Anding City, otherwise, we could bring mom and others to live here," Beisitian said with a smile as she looked at the large courtyard.

Luo Xudong was quite moved by the idea; being transferred here seemed like a great idea. Moreover, the military district courtyard was right next door, populated with military families, making it quite convenient.

However, transfers between military units, especially to the Capital, weren’t an easy thing.

The place seemed just recently tidied up, and probably cleaned overnight, as some areas on the ground were still untidy. The essentials, like beds and cabinets, were there in the rooms. However, there were no chairs or tables.

Even though they were going to stay here for a few days, they didn’t have time to buy furniture, which Beisitian found rather unfortunate.

Meanwhile, Tian Qiu arrived at the guesthouse in the morning only to hear from the front desk that they had already checked out. She felt like she had been struck by lightning. They left, but where to?

They shouldn’t be familiar with the Capital City, how could they roam around?

The Capital is so vast that Tian Qiu had no idea where to find them, feeling very frustrated. Her big brother’s phone rang; it was Tian Lei, who said he found the two and gave her the address.

Tian Qiu immediately drove over. Upon arriving at the courtyard, she was amazed. Once inside, seeing it was empty inside, she truly believed this house had just been purchased.

This was something Luo Xudong didn’t plan on meddling with. He believed Beisitian knew what she was doing and could make her own decisions. Whatever made her happy was fine, and even if she did lose, he would still be there for her. Hence, he was completely laid-back with Beisitian regarding this.

When Tian Qiu arrived, the two were sitting at the plum stone table in the courtyard chatting. She immediately said, with a hint of exasperation, "Oh, you two, left without a word, making me come up empty-handed over there."

"Cousin, with a new home, we’re unable to host you," Beisitian said with a smile.

Seeing Beisitian treating her so politely, Tian Qiu said no more. She looked around and noticed the house was terribly empty, then remarked, "It’s so empty, not even a blanket to cover at night. Are you planning to warm each other up?"

Luo Xudong’s throat bobbed twice, his eyes deepening; his favorite part of the night was holding her soft body while sleeping.

Beisitian blushed furiously. This cousin of hers, she really dared to say anything!
