Even I couldn’t believe that Kolton was the one behind this. Why is he doing this? What kind of greed would he have to want to take over the whole company? My fathe— our father took him

I can understand if he resents father because of how much the scandal but o don’t understand why he’s taking it out on me. Taking what I value.

Despite the situation with our mothers and father I never placed blame on him or hurt him. I tried to be as amicable as possible with him and that’s how he treats me.

I immediately dialed his number afterward.

"Kolton where are my wife and child?" I demanded.

"Oh are you’ve arrived ? I knew you would be coming," he answered.

He wasn’t surprised at all that I was calling him meaning he really was the culprit.

"Now that the cats out of the bag you know exactly who to give what I want to," he said.

"Kolton what are you talking about? You know it’s over for you now right? I know it’s you the police do as well. It’s over, so end this now!"

"But you can drop the charges, Keith. I have both your heir and your wife. I’m still very much in control because I have what you need and I know you’ll give it to me," he told me.

"My wife?" What do you mean?" I asked him wondering what the hell he was talking about.

"Time is ticking Keith so I hope you brought the documents signing off the Acand Group,"

"Why are you doing this?" I asked him to explain.

"Oh please you know why," he said and the hung up the call.

"Kolton!" I yelled in the phone but no one was there.

I tried to ring him again but he didn’t answer. A grunt of frustration escaped me. I looked down at the papers at my side the ones I had my lawyers working on last minute to make it look like I had signed off the company.

It was about two hours into the drive to Redwood and I was so exhausted. Everything was going wrong.

My phone rang after several moments my phone rang again. Immediately i thought it was Kolton and checked the screen. My eyes narrowed as I read the Carrington boys name. I had been trying to call him earlier and he refused to pick up. Now he was suddenly calling?

"Where is my wife you piece of shit?" I asked him as soon as I picked up.

To think that idiot would call me now after ignoring my calls for several hours now.

"Kolton has Jasmine," he told me.

"How is that possible!?" I asked. So Kolton wasn’t bluffing. He really had Jasmine.

"I’ll explain everything when you get here," he told me.

"Where are you right now?" I asked.

"At his property in Redwood the police are here as well," he told me. Jasmine and the Carrington knew about Kolton before I did? How. It irritated me.

"I’m already on my way. I’m almost there," I informed him.

When I arrived the scene before me was a complete mess. There were dozens of parked cars across the hill, going up towards the mountain where Kolton’s property was located. The vehicles ranged from police cars to unmarked vehicles.

I had the driver park the car near the other vehicles. Upon stepping put of the car I found a figure headed for me.

It was the Carrington. My eyes narrowed and my hands curled into fists.

"What were you thinking!?" I yelled at him as soon as he was infront of me. I couldn’t get the security footage of him holding Jasmine in the apartment building out of my mind. That he had somehow helped escape and been a part of the scheme to trick me.

"Keith we have bigger issues here," he told me. "How about we find Jasmine first and then we can deal with all this afterward?"

I clicked my tongue. "This would have never happened if she never left, if she didn’t go with you. She would would be safe and far from here. Just so you know I can sue you for taking my wife," I let him know.

"Keith...please," he begged as he held out his hands.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "How the hell did you get here and how was Jasmine taken from you?" he asked me.

"We figured out that Kolton was the actual culprit," he started.

"And you didn’t think to tell me?" I asked in utter shock.

The Carrington’s lips pressed into a thin line but he didn’t answer me. I couldn’t believe this, I am Anthony’s father and they wouldn’t tell me of something this important that pertained to him!

"What happened next?" I then asked just to get him to finish the story.

He proceeded to explain how he and Jasmine arrived earlier to try and save Tony but Jasmine ended up getting taken. However, they managed to save Marco.

"We have to find a way to get in there since he’s holding her hostage," Louis told me.

"No stay out of this. You’ve done enough," I waved him off dismissively. "I’ll handle this with the police. She’s my wife."

"Oh my god, Keith please!" Louis begged.

"Mr Acland, Mr Carrington," One of the police men came toward us and interrupting our conversation. It was Officer Dhaul.

"Yes?" Louis answered.

" Kolton’s men have formed a sort of wall of guards surrounding the property," he explained.

"I’ll go up and talk to Kolton now that I’m here," I told the officer.

"Sir he is threatening and baricading the area since this is a hostage situation. Every action matters since once wrong move could have you wife and child harmed."

"Have the guards mentioned anything yet?"

"They said if you have the paperwork you can come up," Dhaul continued.

"I’ll go," I quickly replied. I was tired of all this.

"Sir, keep in mind if you go in you won’t have a weapon and you won’t have the protection of the police," he replied.
