How to Redeem a Trashy Side Villain

Chapter 82: Nice to Meet You

Chapter 82: Nice to Meet You

[Diana's POV]

Peeking out the window as I listened to the morning news, I saw the black bulletproof car pulling into the street.

"He's here. See you later Mom," I said as I got off the couch and picked my backpack off the floor.

"Okay. Diana, tell Bell that he better keep my baby girl safe or else I'll give him a proper beating."

It took a while but Bell and I were able to get my family to understand that there was no animosity between the two of us.

It wasn't his decision to reveal the fact that we had a "friendship" but mine because the guilt continued to eat away at me as they would sometimes speak about him during dinner, calling him terrible names.

The day that he got in front of my parents, dropped down to his knees, and bowed until they forgave him — my heart was pounding so loudly that I was afraid it was going to burst out of my chest.

They swore at him, called him a waste of air, and my father even tried to kick him but my little sister held him back.

He just took all of it without retaliating one bit.

I think that was what convinced my parents that Bell was different from the criminal who had attacked me under the influence of the demon curse mark.

Stepping outside the house, I watched as he got out of the car and opened the door for me.

"You shaved it off," I said, pleasantly surprised by the change in his appearance.

"I had no choice. You kept making fun of me about it," he rolled his eyes and pushed my hand off his chin.

Finally, he looks cute again. Hmm... should I ask him if I can take him to the barbershop for a haircut?

I seriously contemplated forcing him to get it. It's not that he looked bad with the long hair — he just looks better with it short.

"My Mom told me to tell you to keep me safe by the way or else she'll beat you."

"Hahahaha," he laughed as he closed the door for me. It was these simple actions he did so naturally that made my heart flutter.

Slow down, heart. He's going to hear if you keep being this loud.

"Good morning, Jerman," I greeted Bell's bodyguard who I sometimes forget is around because of how still and quiet he is.

"Morning, miss."

Formal as always.

No matter how much I tried to convince him to speak casually to me as we were the same age, he refused, explaining that as Bell's equal, he wasn't allowed to address me without manners.

Bell got in the car through the other door and I watched as he pulled his head back to flip his hair out of his face.

...Hot.

I gulped.

Maybe long hair isn't so bad.

"Remember Jerman, you don't see or hear anything," Bell reminded him.

Although Bell told me how trustworthy Jerman was — a fact that I was now aware of, I still didn't want to let him know about my secret because it was something special to me.

Only Bell and Peaches knowing was enough. One was my best friend and the other was someone — special — to me.

As the car began to move, Bell took off his blazer, carefully folded it, and then turned over to me, resting the side of his head on the headrest.

I gulped again.

Stop trying to seduce me you... you vermin! I get it! You're hot! No need to keep proving a point! Arghhhhh!

I was screaming like I was at a rock concert in my head but on the outside, I kept a straight face.

Moving closer to him, I began to unbutton his white dress shirt.

When we first started doing this blood-drinking routine, he was extremely built. despite his relatively slim physique.

But now, I don't know what he's been doing over the break but his body was like the definition of perfection.

Sometimes, it made it hard to focus on drinking that delicious blood of his because his muscles kept grabbing my attention.

Still resting his head on the headrest, he looked at me with the corner of his eyes as I moved my head over to the side of his neck that wasn't obstructed by the seat.

His gaze was casual but it made me feel like I was being flirted with.

I turned my eyes away from him before my face could get any redder.

Opening my mouth, my fangs extended and I nodded my head, stabbing it into his neck.

Bon Appétit.

[Bell's POV]

Letting out a heavy exhale, I entered the building.

I'm back.

Walking into the hallway, the difference from the first semester when I had returned from my suspension and now was night and day.

"Bell, long time no see," said Francis, one-third of the trio whom I led to win the magical eggs which still hadn't hatched for any of us yet.

"Woah. Francis. How many inches did you grow?" I asked.

"Just a few. Like... four or five," he shrugged.

He was quite literally a giant.

Ever since he had broken up with his girlfriend because she was too busy with her work and her studies to find the time to be in a committed relationship, he had become a gym freak.

If I were to line him up next to the best bodybuilders on Earth, he'd either come out on top or at least be the runner-up.

"What about the other two? Where are they?" I asked.

Although I kept up with the three of them in our group chat, I'd been so busy with Quentin's lessons, Diana, and other issues that appeared during the break that I hadn't seen any of them in months.

"They're probably off somewhere kissing or something."

Hmm?

"Kissing? What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Oh shoot. My bad. I forgot that they were going to tell you today as a surprise. Pretend as if you didn't hear what I just said, please," he said as he brought his hands together.

"Are you saying that they're dating?" I asked.

"Yep."

"When did this happen?" I asked. Being out of the loop amongst the first friend group I made in this world didn't feel too good.

"Like... three weeks ago. We were meeting up for another dungeon run but I came down with a fever so the two of them went by themselves. I don't know what happened in there but the next day, they were so attached to each other that I had to physically pry them apart," he said while demonstrating the action with his hands.

That's... crazy.

"Wow."

It was a little sad that I was out of the loop but at the same time, I was also intrigued by what other changes in people's relationships I've changed just by simply existing and doing what I had to do.

The first one I thought about was Diana and Peaches.

Although they were in a bad spot after Diana's secret was revealed through unfortunate circumstances, they had gotten even closer, bonded together firmly by the secret.

She even offered her neck to Diana but the offer was declined because she didn't want to harm her best friend.

That was a lie. I could tell that she just didn't want Peaches' blood because it didn't taste as good as mine.

"Class is about to start. I'll see you later then," said Francis who began dashing down the hallway.

He was so huge and heavy that I could feel the ground shaking with every step.

What an absolute unit he has become. How much did it cost to get that uniform tailored?

I felt bad for whoever had to cook for him at home.

He must be eating dozens of plates a day to keep up with his growth spurt.

Heading to my first class of the day, it was an agriculture class.

I had no interest in agriculture whatsoever. Not a single bit.

But that was what the main character chose so I had no choice but to register for it.

Entering the classroom, a few familiar faces from last semester greeted me. I reciprocated the greetings, had a few short conversations, and then found the seat I wanted.

The main character wasn't in the classroom yet because he was scheduled to arrive late due to his stopping to help a grandma cross the street, grab a balloon out of a tree for a little girl, and even save a cat from an oncoming car.

All cliche events that could've happened in the first chapter of the novel happened.

It'd been a while since I had cursed the shitty god so I looked up at the sky and mouthed the words, "You suck at writing."

It wasn't just the main character in the class that mattered to the story.

To be specific, there were three female protagonists in this class as well as one villain, one sidekick, and one cannon fodder who was going to get humiliated in a few minutes.

I still wasn't all that sure about which events in the novel were bound to happen regardless of my decisions and which ones could easily be erased with a single flap of a butterfly's wing.

But this scene was necessary to the story because it introduced the main character to the female protagonists so I was sure of it happening.

"Alright class, settle down."

The teacher waited a while and the students were still talking.

"Hey! I said settle down!" she screamed.

That grabbed all the naughty kids' attention. They sat down in their seats and closed their mouths.

"As it is the first day back, let's go around the classroom and introduce ourselves. State your name, one memory involving agriculture, and one thing you did during the break."

Halfway through the class self-introduction, the door opened and the speaker stopped talking.

Everyone turned their head to the door and watched as this suntanned boy with medium-length dual-colored hair that was split down the middle, one-half white, the other half orange, entered the room.

Unlike the other students who had their uniforms on properly, his blazer was tied around his waist, the sleeves of his dress shirt were rolled up, and three of the top buttons were unbuttoned.

"Hey. Sorry, I'm late," he said.

Nice to finally meet you.
