Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen

Chapter 799: So bad

Chapter 799: So bad

Robert Stephens: "Did I say anything wrong?"

Charlotte Smith’s chest heaved for a moment before she noticed he had changed the subject.

She shouted angrily: "What are you doing here?"

Robert Stephens looked at her angry little face, clicked his tongue lightly, and replied, "I can go wherever I want, do I need to report to you?"

Seriously... I’ve never seen... such a bastard before!

Charlotte extended her hand, pressing it against the man’s chest, attempting to push him out.

"If you don’t leave, I’ll call the police!"

The man stood at the door, not moving an inch.

Charlotte pushed for a while, exhausted, and looked up angrily at him.

Then she saw a fleeting mischievous smile in Robert Stephens’ eyes.

"!!!"

So childish!

"Robert Stephens!" she shouted his name angrily.

"Hmm?" the man responded in a low voice.

"Get out."

"No."

"You!" She glared at him, gave up on trying to kick him out of the house, turned around, and picked the pack of instant noodles out of the trash can, "Suit yourself."

Seeing her retrieve the instant noodles from the trash can, the man had a speechless expression on his face.

Charlotte went into the kitchen to cook instant noodles for herself.

She took a slice of cheese from the fridge and cracked an egg.

The scent of eggs and cheese gradually spread in the air, and it surprisingly smelled not too bad.

Robert Stephens came over and stood behind her, resting his chin on her shoulder, watching her pour the instant noodles into a bowl, and laughed, "Our dear Charlotte can cook?"

Charlotte was still angry, not giving him a pleasant look: "Go away."

She held the bowl and sat at her small dining table, eating her dinner with her head down.

Robert Stephens seemed bored, coming over to watch her eat dinner.

Charlotte sipped the soup, which was a bit salty; her delicate brow furrowed slightly, but she made do with it.

In the future, she certainly wouldn’t be able to eat the Stephens family meals anymore, so she’d have to get used to it sooner or later.

Robert Stephens asked her, "Is it good?"

Charlotte saw his face full of interest and became wary, covering her bowl with her hand, "This is my dinner." She emphasized.

Robert Stephens scoffed at her action, "Do you think I would snatch your pack of instant noodles?"

Charlotte looked at his meaningful gaze and thought to herself, that can’t be guaranteed.

Who knows if he might get a whimsical urge to try the food of ordinary people?

Charlotte lowered her head, blew on the steam from the instant noodles, and earnestly began to finish this meal.

Instant processed food indeed wasn’t as good as what came out of the Stephens’ kitchen, but its strong flavor made it tasty and not too unpleasant.

As she ate, sweat beaded on her nose, and the man, holding a tissue, considerately wiped her sweat.

Charlotte looked up, locking eyes with Robert Stephens, and inadvertently saw the tenderness in the man’s eyes.

She was slightly stunned, staring at the man’s particularly gentle eyes for a while without reacting, until Robert Stephens chuckled softly and asked, "Not eating anymore?"

Charlotte instinctively asked, "Where’s Janet?"

The man looked at her, smiled meaningfully, "Why do you keep bringing her up?"

"You come over here, won’t she be jealous?"

Robert Stephens: "No, she won’t."

What a jerk.

Charlotte pursed her lips, feeling inexplicably annoyed, but she also understood that for someone like Robert Stephens, unfaithfulness in relationships was the norm.

Feeling strangely unable to eat, Charlotte put her chopsticks down, "I’m going to take a shower."

With that, she turned and left.

Robert Stephens seemed puzzled, looking at her back, "Hey." He called out to her, "What are you angry about again?"
