Chapter 572: Is it worth it?
When returning to Tsing City, it was Elena Raven who drove her back.
Her hands were shaking so badly that she couldn’t hold the steering wheel at all.
Edward Stephens had already been taken away by Robert Stephens, and Daisy Ginger couldn’t see him at all. Elena didn’t know where to take her, so she finally stopped the car at the entrance of Daisy’s apartment.
"Daisy, you should rest first, maybe wash your hands," Elena said, leading Daisy into the room and looking at her pale face stained with blood. She felt heartbroken, "I’ll go ask Ryan Smith about how Mr. Stephens is doing now."

"Daisy and I are at her apartment," Elena answered for her.
Ryan: "I’ll come over right now."
Ryan arrived quickly, taking no more than ten minutes.
Upon hearing the doorbell, Elena stood up from the sofa and hurried over to the door.
The tall and slender man stood at the doorway, travel-worn. The playful look on his face had entirely disappeared, replaced by a cold and stern demeanor, making him barely recognizable as Ryan Smith at a glance.
"Where’s Daisy?"
Elena was stunned for a moment, then stepped aside and softly said, "She’s inside."
"Are you okay?" Ryan extended his hand, gently pinching her chin to get a closer look.
Elena softly replied, "Mr. Stephens shielded us from the car. Daisy and I are unharmed..."
Ryan seemed to let out a small sigh of relief. He reached up and gently ruffled Elena’s hair, "Glad you’re okay."
The room was lit, but all the curtains were tightly closed. Daisy sat on the bed, her hair disheveled, with bloodstains on her clothes and arms, looking quite a mess.
Hearing his footsteps, she looked up, her wet eyes red and swollen, staring at him.
Ryan walked over, "I don’t know the specifics yet. What exactly happened?"
"It was Robert Stephens." Mentioning that man’s name made Daisy grit her teeth somewhat, hatred flashing in her eyes, as she clenched her fingers, "He ordered Emma Magus to try and kill me! On the way back with Elena, Emma tried to drive us off a mountain road! Edward suddenly arrived, took the impact for us, but he..."
Remembering Edward’s miserable state, Daisy’s voice trembled. She collapsed, covering her face with her hands, and began to sob softly.
She couldn’t bear to recall it; each retelling broke her spirit once more.
"Daisy..."
Elena came over, worriedly holding her shoulders, feeling helpless seeing her pain.
After hearing Daisy’s account, Ryan remained silent for a long time.
After a while, he finally said, "Currently on Edward’s side, no one but the Stephens family members is allowed to approach. What happened to Edward is a major matter for the entire Stephens family... I’ll notify you if there’s any news."
Edward Stephens is the future heir of the Stephens family.
