His Untold Lies

Chapter 36 Curiosity

Chapter 36 Curiosity

KIA

After a long and exhausting day, I strolled back home, enveloped in the warm, fading light of the sunset, which perfectly matched the unassuming atmosphere of our quaint little town. During my walk, I passed by a market and suddenly remembered that our refrigerator lacked fresh milk. As I stepped into the supermarket, a friendly security guard greeted me with a warm smile, to which I responded with a smile of my own. I proceeded towards the fresh milk section and decided to grab two since it was on a buy-one-get-one offer. While making my way to the cashier, I noticed a display of bread tucked away in the corner. I picked up a shopping cart and placed my two containers of fresh milk inside. Unbeknownst to me, my cart gradually filled as I roamed through the store.

Scratching my head, I approached the cashier and settled the bill. Opting for a tricycle ride home, I arrived at our doorstep, heaved a sigh of relief, and pushed past the screen door to enter our cozy abode. However, a sudden bout of dizziness hit me, and I instinctively grabbed the door handle, muttering, "I'm utterly drained. I can't fathom going to school tomorrow. I just want to spend the whole day in bed, doing nothing."

But wait, why was the door unlocked? I distinctly remember locking it before leaving for school!

Panicked, I rushed inside, only to find heaps of clothing strewn all over the floor. How had our home turned into such a mess? It suddenly struck me that a burglar might have broken in.

"Help! There's an intruder in my house! Help!" I screamed in sheer hysteria, unable to think of any other course of action. I heard someone rapidly approaching, so I grabbed a broom, ready to use it as a makeshift weapon.

"Where? Where's the intruder?!"

"A-Ares?! What are you doing here? I thought you were a burglar!" I exclaimed in disbelief as it turned out to be my husband. "Why are you here? I thought you were at work. And why are all these clothes scattered around?"

Ares hesitated, trying to come up with an explanation. He scratched his head and finally said, "Well... I have some secondhand clothes I wanted to donate to the less fortunate people on the streets..."

ARES

Why did she return home so early today? I had been planning to dispose of these branded clothes while she was away.

"You startled me. I thought it was an intruder. Alright, let me help you," she offered.

Oh no, those clothes still have their labels. I can't ask her for help; she'll figure it out!

Bang!

Suddenly, I backed her up against the wall, taking her by surprise. Her eyes sparkled like stars, and her cheeks gradually turned rosy. She looked adorable when she was shy.

"What's going on? Why aren't you putting the clothes away?" she stammered.

I had no other option now.

"I want to kiss you, honey..."

As Ares' lips drew near, her heart skipped a beat; he smelled incredible. Kia's chest and stomach warmed as she parted her lips, curled her toes, and awakened her senses. His taste almost made her forget everything.

Her whole body tingled. As his arms enveloped her, the sensation of his body against hers overwhelmed her. When her legs finally gave way, he pulled her close, and they kissed with intense desire. Kia realized her fingers were beneath his shirt, touching his smooth, warm skin. Leaning against the wall, it felt like time had frozen. Her mind went blank as she savored his taste, warming her toes and awakening her senses.

Suddenly, a neighbor, an elderly woman, burst into their house. "Kianna, are you alright? Where's the burglar? Where..." She stopped mid-sentence as she witnessed the passionate embrace of the two people. "Well, it seems this 'burglar' is unlike any other... it steals kisses," she teased, poking fun at Kianna and Ares.

Both of them blushed with embarrassment. "I made a mistake. Auntie, you were right. I'm sorry! I apologize!" Kianna admitted.

"Alright, you two! I need to leave. You should continue handling things here," she said, and then she departed from the house.

Feeling embarrassed, they quietly helped each other complete the laundry and placed all the clothes into a plastic bag. After half an hour, they had successfully cleared out all of Ares's expensive designer garments. However, Kianna remained unaware of their intention to part with these costly items.

"Phew, the clothes are finally gone!" Ares exclaimed, extending his hand.

"Since you've sent away all your suits, do you still have work-appropriate clothing?" Kianna inquired with concern.

"Oh, right... I completely forgot about that."

"That's because you acted too hastily. Well, it's a shame. Maybe we should keep some of those clothes. It's impossible to get rid of all of them!" Kianna suggested. "I'll open the bag," she added, but Ares promptly stopped her.

"I'll do it later. Why don't we have dinner first?" Ares proposed, gently pushing Kianna toward the kitchen.

During dinner, Kianna unexpectedly brought up Ares's job, showing keen interest in the Vueravista Company. Ares's stories about it thoroughly entertained her.

"What?...

Hmm... How about I bring your lunch there tomorrow?" Kianna suggested out of the blue, causing Ares's heart to skip a beat.
