Chapter 22 Feisty Night
Chapter 22 Feisty Night
KIA
It felt as though a tidal wave of resentment had accompanied me from my earlier encounter at home. I realized I needed to clear my head, and so, I made the decision to indulge in some retail therapy, using the hard-earned cash from my part-time jobs. Treating oneself occasionally is entirely justified when you've put in the effort to earn it.
"I'm back..."
The journey through the mall had drained me, weighed down by my numerous purchases, including clothing and essentials.
"Darling, you're home! Are you hungry? Dinner will be ready as soon as it's done cooking."
His cheerful demeanor struck me as odd. He didn't appear to be perturbed by our earlier exchange. What was going on with this man?
I didn't respond to his questions, continuing to approach him instead. I placed the paper bags I was carrying down and moved closer. Why was his voice so soothing? Did I find him attractive? Or was it simply his voice that left me puzzled? My emotions were in turmoil, and I had no clear understanding of what was transpiring within me. He felt like a ray of light in the darkness, the one person I could rely on.
As I drew near, I embraced him tightly. "Just hold me, please..."
"What's wrong, darling? Did someone hurt you?"
Once again, tears welled up uncontrollably. It was as if my heart was crying out from the weight of something profoundly heavy. "I don't ask for anything... I just want you to hold me like this," I sobbed.
"Kianna," he gently touched my face, our eyes meeting.
It was sweltering. Why did I feel like I'd been wandering aimlessly in a desert for an eternity, desperately seeking to quench my thirst?
"Ares... I want you."
My momentary relief from the heat came as he ardently claimed my lips, covering them with his gentle kiss. As I feverishly reciprocated, I reached out, wrapping my arms around his neck.
His kisses had the power to mend me, yet this was not enough. I craved more.
"Ares, I want to surrender myself to you..."
As we entered the bedroom, he swiftly turned off the lights, igniting a passionate spark within me.
His presence loomed close in the dimly lit room, and I could discern the trace of his scent just before his tongue unexpectedly grazed my lips. It wasn't as though I had consciously summoned this fervent tongue; rather, I had yearned to admire his expression of aesthetic delight, hoping it would mirror my own. I was fairly certain that my emotions had somersaulted at least once as this talented tongue enveloped my senses, questing for some elusive point near my uvula. It wriggled, pulsated, and executed intricate maneuvers within the recesses of my mouth, casting me into a trance of sensation while I lay there, eyes tightly shut.
His intense gaze locked onto mine, and his proximity allowed me to witness my own reflection mirrored in each of his irises.
"Darling, am I your first?"
Inevitably, I was rendered momentarily speechless as I struggled to comprehend his inquiry. "...Yes..."
His face was then overcome by an impassioned intensity. "Then I will ensure that this becomes an unforgettable night for you."
Soon, our entwined passions filled the room with resounding moans and fervent whispers. The shadows on the wall opposite us danced wildly, mirroring the fervor of our encounter.
Due to the subdued lighting, I couldn't clearly discern his features, but my thoughts inevitably veered to how adept he must be in moments like these. He held me with a commanding presence until the midnight hour.

"Here, have some water," he offered, handing me a glass. "What exactly happened at your house? Please, tell me."
"...Nothing," I replied hesitantly.
"Kianna, I know something is amiss at your home. I can't bear to see you unhappy any longer. I want to help you. Share it with me, and I'll bear the burden for you. Remember, I'm not a stranger; I'm your husband."
His words left me momentarily stunned. He was right; he was my spouse, but he remained unaware of the turmoil transpiring within my family. It struck me how unusual this was for him.
"...Something is awry with my dad's company, and he's pressuring me to marry someone as part of a business deal. Yesterday, he invited me home for lunch, but it was actually a setup for a blind date. He even blamed me for my mother's death... He's been unbearably cruel, as if I weren't his real daughter," I confessed, heaving a heavy sigh. A moment later, tears streamed down my face.
In an instant, he enveloped me in a comforting bear hug, offering solace. "Everything will be alright... You can rely on me. I'll be here for you. Always."

The Rivera's Residence
"It's not my fault! She just caused a scene and stormed out! The blind date was a total disaster! But I did my best to charm the Wang family. You know, babe, I think that guy was into me!" Asteria argued heatedly with Vincent.
"You're utterly useless! What if she had agreed and married Wang's heir? It would have complicated my plans to acquire the Saavedra's company! Why can't you think for once? Use your brain!" Vincent retorted in frustration.
"Enough! I've been working tirelessly on this, and you're the one who's useless! Your company is under attack from Vueravista Company, and your strategies are falling apart! And in bed, you're terrible!" Asteria retorted, her frustration boiling over.
Without hesitation, Asteria grabbed a nearby pillow and hurled it at Vincent's face. Enraged, he snatched up his own pillow and began a playful yet aggressive pillow fight with her.
"You jerk!"
"What? Loser!" they bantered, caught up in their emotional exchange.
