Chapter 67

　　When Austin opened the door, he saw Damon about to help Annette up.

　　He walked forward with a cold face and asked, "What happened?"

　　Jessica pointed at Annette and said, "Austin, let her be. That bitch is nothing but ungrateful. Alpha Lance just introduced the Beta's son in Wintering Pack to Annette, but she embarrassed Damon in every way."

　　Austin glanced at Lance. He walked to Annette and helped her up.

　　Austin looked at Damon and said, "Mr. Goodman, I apologize on behalf of her. Annette is not suitable for you. Please go back."

　　"Austin." Lance sat in the wheelchair and patted the handle.

　　Damon saw this and said to Lance, "Alpha Lance, I think it is indeed not a good time. Ms. Hall was suddenly introduced to a stranger and she might feel offended. I will go back now. Please excuse me."

　　He left after saying so.

　　As soon as he left, Lance raised his hand and pointed at Annette, "Annette, are you trying to piss me off?"

　　"In fact, I do. But I didn't provoke you in the first place. You were the one who kidnapped me here, weren't you?" Annette said mockingly.

　　Jessica ran up and said, "She is a vicious woman. She thinks that she is pretty and looks down on Damon. And she is trying to seduce the Alpha from the Blood Moon Pack."

　　"Jessica, shut up." Austin scolded, "Annette has nothing to do with that man."

　　"Austin, you are still speaking up for her. This woman has fooled all of us. What do you know about her? She is still seeing Alpha Connor," Jessica shouted in anger.

　　"Nonsense."

　　"I saw her dining with Alpha Connor this afternoon and I have proof." She took out her phone and showed Austin the video.

　　Austin took a glance at the video and recognized Annette from it right away.

　　She was in the same clothes.

　　He smashed Jessica's phone to the ground.

　　Jessica was so angry that her eyes were wide open. She asked, "Why did you smash my phone?"

　　Austin looked up at Annette and asked, "Annette, tell me if you have any contact with Connor."

　　"Yes, I have," Annette replied.

　　"Why did you lie to me?"

　　"Austin, I don't think there's anything wrong with me having a normal relationship with someone."

　　Jessica snorted coldly. "A normal relationship? I saw him pat your head. You were obviously seducing him. I saw it with my own eyes. Alpha, Lance, my mother is right. A bitch's daughter will only be a bitch and will be good at seducing men."

　　"Jessica, watch your mouth!" Annette shouted.

　　Her gaze shifted from Austin to Jessica.

　　"If you think I seduced Connor, then you can try it too if you want. And see if you can get close to him."

　　Then Annette looked at Lance and said, "If you do this to me again, I will sue you for kidnapping. Also, I don't have anything to do with you, and you certainly have no right to introduce me to any men. I will make my own decisions about my future. It is not up to you."

　　Then Annette walked out.

　　Jessica looked at Annette's back as she left. She said angrily, "Alpha, Lance, are you just gonna let her go like that?"

　　Lance turned to look at Jessica and said reluctantly, "Didn't I tell you not to come out before Damon left? Why are you so impatient?"

　　"Didn't you hear what that bitch said? Did she ask you to marry me to Damon? How dare she say that Damon could become my mate? Damon would never deserve me!"

　　Jessica gritted her teeth. "I can't swallow this. What makes Annette think that Alpha Connor will be interested in her? Alpha Connor is out of her league."

　　"But now the truth is that Alpha Connor has feelings for her," Lance said coldly.

　　Jessica walked to Lance and reached out to hold his arm. She said in a sweet voice, "Daddy, I can be Alpha Connor's mate."

　　"What? You're also crazy, aren't you?" Lance immediately glared at Jessica.

　　Jessica raised her head proudly and said, "I am not crazy. I am more qualified than Annette. I am the daughter of the Alpha of the Black Thorn Pack. Annette is nothing."

　　"Now Alpha Connor does not know that Annette is a member of our pack. But if he knows, do you think he will be so close to Annette? The two packs are mortal enemies," Lance said.

　　"Why is it impossible? Both of us are powerful wolf packs in Akron. If our grudges end in my generation, wouldn't it be better for both packs? Think about it. If the daughter of the Alpha of the Black Thorn Pack becomes Luna of the Blood Moon Pack, then the two packs will stay in peace. Will we be the biggest winner? Just think about it."

　　Lance pondered for a moment when Jessica said this.

　　If Jessica could be Connor's mate, it would be the best.

　　However, Lance shook his head. He knew that Connor was not a man to be trifled with.

　　The hardest part is to make Connor accept Jessica as his Luna.

　　"I don't care. If you don't help me, I will do it myself. When the time comes, I don't care if I will embarrass Black Thorn Pack," Jessica said shamelessly.

　　"Alright, don't mess around. Let me think about this," Lance said in the end.

　　Austin ran after Annette and reached the gate. He stood in front of her and blocked her way.

　　Annette looked at him and asked, "What else do you want to say?"

　　"I should be the one asking you this. Don't you think you owe me an explanation?" Austin asked.

　　Annette frowned and said, "I don't have anything to explain."

　　"Ann, are you not taking your future seriously? How many times have I told you? Connor can't be the one. Why don't you listen to me?"

　　"Why can't he? I think he's fine. At least, he and his family won't hurt me. And he treats me better than people from the Black Thorn Pack."
