His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 64

Chapter 64

"What if I insist on eating at your place?" Connor asked.

After taking a sip of water, Annette said calmly, "Then you are leaving me no choice but to move."

"Do you think that I won't be able to find you after you move? Don't underestimate me." Connor snorted.

"What I meant is that you aren't someone who will cause trouble for others, right?"

Connor looked at Annette in front of him.

Annette had a harmless smile on her face. "Besides, I have to go for training. I'll be very busy. I don't want to waste my precious time in the kitchen."

Connor could accept her explanation, but he was just unhappy.

"Then let's make a deal. You have to eat with me every weekend." Connor said, leaving no room for doubt.

  "Why?" Annette frowned.

"Because I'm afraid that you'll forget about me if you don't see me for too long. I want to appear in front of you as often as I can. It is settled then." Connor then ended the topic.

Annette still wanted to say something, but Connor had already started eating the toast.

She thought that she could accept meeting Connor once a week.

Then, they reached a new agreement.

A few days later, Annette left the Norman Group.

After she left the Norman Group, she felt happy every day.

It seemed that working in the office was indeed not suitable for her. She disliked the depressing atmosphere there.

The training at Werewolf University was much easier than she thought.

When she returned home on Thursday night, she saw Connor waiting for her downstairs.

"Today is Thursday. Why are you here?" Annette was a little puzzled.

Connor said with a cold face, "Because I miss you."

Stunned, Annette looked at Connor with surprise written all over her face.

  Connor said he missed her?

Connor walked forward and naturally pulled her into his arms.

Connor didn't know why. After two days of separation, he was desperate to see Annette.

His wolf felt the same way.

But Annette had never contacted him.

Did she really have no feelings for him at all?

Connor almost believed what his wolf said. He thought they were each other's mates.

Thinking of this, Connor hugged Annette even tighter.

Annette struggled for a moment but didn't break free. She was hugged even tighter with her entire face buried in his shoulder.

Annette frowned. "How did I offend you?"

Connor looked a little annoyed. "Do I look like the devil to you?"

"What are you talking about?" Annette was quite speechless.

"Do you know that I have been waiting for you to call me for the past two days?" Connor's tone was somewhat dissatisfied.

Annette thought for a while and said, "Anything happened during those two days?"

  She had an innocent look.

  Connor sighed.

"Why aren't you telling me?" Annette looked at him in confusion. "Were those some special days?"

Connor spread out his hands and said, "Forget it. You'd better stop talking because it only makes me madder."

Connor turned around and walked towards her place.

She quickly caught up to him and reached out to stop him.

"Are you not going to let me in?" Connor turned to look at her.

  "I'm very sleepy," Annette said.

Connor frowned and glared at her. A moment later, he snorted coldly and left.

Annette stood still for a moment.

  Was he angry?

She was somewhat at a loss. She wondered if she had said something wrong.

  But she was indeed sleepy.

Last night, she slept at half past one.

Working until now, she really couldn't stand the sleepiness anymore.

She slowly went upstairs. After she entered the room, she lay down on the bed and fell asleep.

She thought that Connor wouldn't visit her anymore.

However, at noon the next day, she saw Marcus at Werewolf University.

As soon as Marcus saw her, he pulled her arm excitedly and said, "Luna Annette, help me out."

  Annette asked, "What happened?"

"I want to stay in Akron for college, but Connor doesn't agree. I've shifted so I can make my own decisions. Why is he still meddling?"

Marcus continued in an upset voice, "What a tyrant!"

Annette said in a pitiful voice, "I sympathize with you, but I'm afraid I can't help you."

"You can help me. Luna Annette, if you talk to Connor, he'll listen to you," Marcus pleaded.

Annette was a little embarrassed. "He won't listen to me. He is Alpha Connor. I think you can ask Lucas for help."

"Do you think I haven't gone to seek his help? Lucas said that I should listen to Connor." Marcus pulled a long face.

"In that case," Annette looked at him and said, "there's nothing I can do to help."

Marcus frowned and said, "Luna Annette, I wanted to talk to Connor last night. I waited for him until midnight. When he came back, he got angry with me and then drove me away. This morning, I went to see him but he scolded me again. He didn't only treat me like this. When I went to work today, I saw him shouting at his subordinates. It was really scary."

Annette shrank back. "If that's the case, I won't go to see him either. I'm afraid too."

"Geez, Luna Annette, I find that Connor is very easy to talk to when you are around. Just bring it up when he is in a good mood," Marcus said.

"I really can't." Annette shook her head firmly.

Marcus said dejectedly, "Luna Annette, if you don't help me, then I'll have no choice but to drop out of school. At most, I won't go to university. Anyway, I will never leave Akron."

Marcus turned around and was about to leave.

Marcus took a few steps before he turned back. Then he said, "If one day I died of depression because I failed to study in college, will you regret not helping me today?"

Annette quickly said, "Are you threatening me? Where is Connor now? The company?"

"So, you will help me, right?" Marcus looked surprised.

"I'll try to persuade him. But I am not sure whether he will agree or not."
