Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Annette started working on her thesis. She was focused and completely ignored the person behind her.
After a while, she checked the time on her computer, only to find that it was half past eleven.
She took off her earphones and was about to say something. But then, she noticed that Connor had already left.
Annette got up and stretched herself. She saw a note on the table.
She walked over and picked up the note. It read, "Sleep early. Come to my house for dinner tomorrow. We will celebrate Marcus' graduation from high school."
She smiled, crumpled the note into a ball, and threw it into the trash can.
The next day, just as Annette entered the school building, she was caught up by Roxanne.
Roxanne tugged at her arm and whispered, "Have you heard of it?"
"What?" Annette looked at Roxanne in confusion.
"Just check the school forum once in a while, OK? That bitch is pregnant."
"What? You mean Lena is pregnant?" Annette was very surprised.
If two werewolves were not each other's mates, it would be difficult for them to have a child.
"Yes. That bitch had a stomachache yesterday and went to the infirmary for a check. The school doctor found out that she was pregnant. A junior student heard it and posted it on the forum. Now, everyone is talking about her and Kyle. You are probably the only one who doesn't know about it," said Roxanne.
Annette was a little confused. She couldn't describe how she felt.
Although she pretended to be fine, she couldn't say that she didn't mind it at all.
"Just now, I heard something more in the cafeteria. Fiona asked that bitch to go to her office. Do you think Fiona will accept the baby or not?" Roxanne asked.
Annette's voice was cold. "As long as Kyle accepts it, that is enough."
"You are right. Lena is just an Omega in the Crystal Pack. If she gives birth to that baby, she may become the Luna in the future. The more I think about it, the angrier I get. She is pregnant now, and I am afraid she will be more arrogant. You should stay away from her, understand?" Roxanne suddenly said.
Annette smiled at Roxanne and said, "Don't worry. I don't want to get involved with their problems ever."
Lena's face was full of tears when she came out of Fiona's office.
Last night, she told Kyle that she was pregnant, yet Kyle only said to her coldly, "Get an abortion." He gave her a bank card and left without looking back.
Just now, in Fiona's office, Fiona said in a high and mighty manner, "You are not Kyle's mate, and the future Alpha of the Crystal Pack can never have an Omega mother. If you insist on giving birth to this child, you'll have to raise it yourself. But if you are willing to have an abortion, I'll give you a lot of money. Other than that, you can make a request, anything you want. You have a week. Go back and think about it carefully."
Lena cried and went downstairs. She dialed Kyle's number.
Kyle did not answer the phone.
She knew that Kyle had come to school today.
Therefore, she walked around the campus and looked for Kyle.
Finally, at the playground, Lena found Kyle, who was hiding in the distance and watching Annette.
She felt a chill from the depths of her heart.
Annette was talking and laughing with Roxanne, and she didn't seem to be affected by her break-up.
On the contrary, Kyle looked depressed.
Lena clenched her fists. Kyle was her boyfriend, but why did Annette still own Kyle's heart?
Ever since the day Lena was admitted to the Werewolf University, Annette had been a curse to her.
Although Lena was an Omega, she was very beautiful.
However, with Annette there, no one paid attention to her.
When Lena was in the Crystal Pack, others looked down on her and bullied her because she was an Omega.
She didn't expect to be suppressed by someone she hated when she came to Werewolf University.
She refused to accept it.
Lena stared at Annette in the distance. She gently stroked her lower abdomen, and there was a hint of ruthlessness in her eyes.
Now, Lena had a trump card in her hand and was determined to make Annette lose everything she wanted.
After class in the afternoon, Annette saw Leonard, who had come to pick her up at the school gate.
She had not planned to go to the Blood Moon Pack.
However, Marcus had called her in the afternoon, saying that he did well in his exams, and he wanted to invite her over for a meal.
Annette did not want to let Marcus down, so she agreed.
When she arrived at the Blood Moon Pack, Connor was also there.
He and Marcus were chatting in the villa.
Connor's eyes rested on Annette, and he said, "You came."
Annette nodded at Connor and then turned to look at Marcus. She asked, "How's the exam? Are the questions simple?"
"I don't know what others feel. I think they are simple," Marcus said.
Annette sat down next to Marcus, facing Connor.
Connor asked Marcus, "Have you called Lucas?"
"No," Marcus said, "I'll call him later."
"Call him now." Connor's tone was serious. He was not asking Marcus but telling him to do it.
Marcus glanced at Connor. He got up and said, "Annette. I'll go inside and make a call."
After sending Marcus away, Connor said to Annette, "Did you stay up late after I left yesterday?"
Annette nodded and sat quietly across from him.
"Was everything OK at your place?"
She nodded. "Yes."
They looked at each other in silence.
Connor was a little annoyed. He couldn't help but say, "Were you this quiet when you were with Kyle before?"
Annette didn't understand why he suddenly changed the topic.
"I'm asking you a question. When you were with Kyle, did you talk to him?" Connor asked again.
"I did," Annette replied.
"So, do you treat me like this just because we slept together before?" Connor said.
Annette's face turned a little gloomy, and her voice was a little cold. "Mr. Norman, it was a long time ago."
