His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 211

Chapter 211

Annette was having her meal when she heard Leslie's sharp voice at the door.

"This is my home. How dare you, a butler, tell me what to do? Get out."

Annette got up and walked to the door, then opened it.

  Leslie looked at Annette furiously.

"Luna." Dwayne greeted Annette respectfully and then stood at her side.

Leslie snorted and said, "Luna? She is just a bastard raised by a mistress. She'll never deserve that title."

Annette wasn't angry. Instead, she looked at Leslie and mocked, "Maybe you don't like the idea, but I happen to be the wife of the chairman of the Norman Group that has stirred up chaos within Fisher Group. As long as you get on my nerves, I can ask Connor to destroy the Fisher Group in minutes."

"Annette, don't flatter yourself. The Fisher Group is not so easily toppled either."

"Well, but I know that compared to the Norman Group, the Fisher Group is just nothing."

"What!" Leslie pointed angrily at Annette.

Annette swept Leslie's hand aside and said arrogantly, "Dwayne is here to take care of me, representing the entire Blood Moon Pack. So, don't yell at him. You are not qualified to do so."

Annette knew if she could not stand up for Dwayne this time, no one else would be able to help her in the future.

Leslie clenched her fists and said, "Annette, you are such a..."

Before Leslie could finish her sentence, sounds of things being smashed came from downstairs.

Leslie quickly turned around and headed there.

Then, Annette heard Jessica scream at the top of her lungs, "Make that bitch come down. This is my house, not hers."

Dwayne said to Annette, "Luna, go inside and get some rest. Don't let those words get into you."

  Annette nodded at Dwayne.

Annette had only been in the room for a few minutes when she heard someone shouting at her door, "Annette, Jessica is asking you to come downstairs."

Dwayne scolded, "Luna is taking a rest. Please leave."

But Jessica didn't take Dwayne seriously, she continued shouting, "Annette!"

Annette stood facing the doorway, and said in a neither too loud nor too soft voice, "If Jessica needs anything, tell her to come and see me. I am not a servant to be sent at her pleasure. If there's nothing else, I'm gonna have a rest now."

The servant of the Black Thorn Pack had no choice but to go back.

In just a moment, there was another noise coming from the doorway.

This time, it was Jessica arguing with Dwayne.

Dwayne didn't say anything, and he just stopped Jessica from entering Annette's room.

Jessica, on the other hand, was insulting Dwayne like a crazy woman.

"You are just a watchdog of the Blood Moon Pack. Here is my territory! Now, get out of my way."

Dwayne scolded, "Ms. Fisher, as a werewolf with Alpha bloodline, don't you know that it's not right to barge into someone else's room?"

"It's not her room. This is my home! Got it? I'm telling you to piss off."

  Annette opened the door.

Jessica pointed her finger at Annette and cursed, "You slut, how dare you be so arrogant? Do you think that I won't come up and beat you?"

Dwayne saw Jessica pointing at Annette and immediately grabbed Jessica's wrist and twisted it backward.

Jessica screamed in pain, "It hurts! Help! Someone is trying to kill me!"

Dwayne pushed Jessica aside and said in his usual calm voice, "Ms. Fisher, please mind your manners. You may insult me, but you don't get to insult my Luna."

Jessica looked at Dwayne and said angrily, "Let go of me! Or I will sue you for intentional injury!"

Dwayne sneered and said, "Then go ahead, and better with evidence. Ms. Fisher, you probably wouldn't want others to see how you bullied your half-sister in your own home, would you? It's your father who invited Luna back to help the Fisher group get through the crisis."

Annette was surprised to find out that Dwayne was actually so tough.

Annette walked up to the door with an indifferent expression on her face.

"Jessica, listen up. This is Dwayne. Connor sent him to protect me. It's okay if you want to talk to me in the future. But you have to stay three meters away. It is the safety distance set by Connor. If you go beyond this distance, just wait and see."

Jessica gritted her teeth and said, "You think you are something with Connor backing you up? You don't need to flaunt it here."

"Flaunt? That's just how Connor normally treats me. Do you think I am showing off? Have no men ever treated you this way before? I thought after the plastic surgery, you, the young lady of the Black Thorn Pack, should be well-liked by men. It seems having a beautiful mother is really important."

"Damn you, Annette!" Jessica reached out, trying to hit Annette, but quickly withdrew her hand, still remembering what Dwayne had done just moments ago.

Jessica glanced at Dwayne and said, "Here is the Black Thorn Pack's territory. Get this old man out of here, now!"

Annette smirked provocatively and said, "Well, then you'll probably have to discuss it with your father first. This is a decision between Connor and him. It doesn't matter to me, but Dwayne takes orders from Connor. Without Connor's command, Dwayne would never leave here."

Jessica trembled with anger and couldn't utter a word.

Then, Jessica leaned against the wall, her face as pale as a sheet.

Jessica had just come back from the hospital. She was on a drip.

"Annette, let me tell you. Now you live in the Black Thorn Pack, it doesn't mean you'll become one of us. You will not get a penny of the property of our pack."

Annette didn't really care about what Jessica had become now.

She simply nodded and said, "You remind me of something. I didn't think of it before coming here. First, as Luna, do you think I need that money? Second, the money from the Black Thorn Pack is filthy. But now I have changed my mind. Even if that's the case, it is better not to let a scum like you squander it. I can use it for charity. So, I'm gonna take my share from Lance."

"Annette!" Jessica swayed, looking as if she was about to faint.

But even so, Jessica still insisted on pointing her finger at Annette and swore at her.

Annette said coldly, "If I were you, I wouldn't throw a tantrum right now. Maybe if you begged me, I wouldn't take the money."

  "You wish."

Annette raised the corner of her lips and said impatiently, "Do you have anything else to say?"

"Wait and see. I won't let you go."

"Okay, I'll be waiting." Annette shrugged, looking completely fine.

As Annette was about to close the door, she saw Austin walking up the stairs.

As soon as Jessica saw Austin, she leaned against the wall and collapsed to the ground.

Austin rushed forward to pick her up and asked anxiously, "Jessica, are you alright?"

"I hate this woman. Help me to get her out of here!"

Austin glanced at Annette and then lowered his head. "Let me take you back to the hospital first."

"No, I don't want to go to the hospital. If you send me back, I'll kill myself now!"

Austin said unhappily, "Stop messing around."

Jessica pointed her finger at Annette and said, "This is my home, and I will stay here. I will never let Annette stay in the Black Thorn Pack and do whatever she wants."

  Austin looked at Annette.

Annette thought of Connor's words. After hesitating for a moment, she stepped back, returned to her room, and shut the door.

Austin picked Jessica up and cooed, "Alright, you need to get some rest now. I'll take you back to your room."

  Finally, Jessica stopped screaming.

Austin went downstairs and glanced at his parents who were arguing on the lawn outside the villa. He then turned to the servant and said, "Get a doctor to check on Jessica."

  "Yes."

Austin looked up the stairs and sighed.

  Austin thought, "What a mess!"

Austin went back upstairs and found Dwayne still sitting outside Annette's door.

Austin said, "Can I speak to Annette alone for a few minutes?"

Dwayne turned around and knocked on the door. "Luna, Austin wants to have a word with you."
