His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 133

Chapter 133

When they were back in the office, Melissa sighed, "Darren is putting us in a dilemma, isn't he? How are we supposed to fix this? No matter what we do, we will offend someone for sure."

Alanna rolled her eyes at Melissa and said, "Then why did you say that back in his office?"

"None of you said anything. What could I do? At least one of us should say something after he finished, right? Otherwise, he would fire us."

Alanna said helplessly, "But what should we do now? I don't want to be fired."

Hearing Alanna's words, Sara looked at Annette.

Sara asked, "Annette, do you have any ideas?"

Those in the office looked at Annette.

Annette thought for a moment and said, "Maybe I've got something."

Alanna moved closer to her. "Annette, tell us. What is it?"

Annette said, "The multimedia classroom is small and crowded, right? But there's plenty of room on the basketball court."

As soon as she finished speaking, Alanna and Melissa looked at her with disapproving looks.

Melissa said, "That's impossible. It's Alpha Connor we are talking about. Are you expecting him to give a lecture on a basketball court?"

"Why not? The basketball court is spacious with air-conditioners. Since it's spacious, people get to see Alpha Connor's face at any location in the room. It seems fine to me."

Alanna hesitated. "The point is, how do we talk to Alpha Connor about this?"

Annette shrugged and said, "Darren can do it."

Melissa shook her head. "How could Darren possibly be OK with this? He already pushed the problem to us. I'm sure he will scold us again if we go to him now."

Annette looked at Melissa and Alanna and said, "What else do you have in mind?"

Both Melissa and Alanna fell silent. Sara said, "I also think this will work."

Melissa looked at Sara. "Sara, come on! If you are going to Darren, go ahead. I'll skip."

Alanna said awkwardly, "Count me out as well."

Annette said, "Then let's split up into two groups. Sara and I will go talk to Darren, while Melissa and Alanna will go to the multimedia classroom to talk to the students about this. If Darren gets mad, I'll tell him that it's my idea, and you won't get blamed. If he says yes, I'll call you, and then you can clear the multimedia classroom. By the way, when you do so, I'm sure those with great seats will make a scene. Don't tell them it's the school's decision. Just tell them it's a call made by Alpha Connor. This way, even if they are not convinced, they won't dare to complain. Anyway, who dares to question Alpha Connor, right?"

The four split into two groups. Annette and Sara left the office, and Sara asked, "Are we really going to Darren?"

"Of course not. He won't agree. I'll call Connor."

Annette dialed Connor's number. When the call was connected, she said with a smile, "Alpha Connor, can I talk to you about something?"

  "I'm listening."

"Is it OK for you to give your lecture on the basketball court this afternoon?"

  "Why?" Connor asked.

"The students were in a fight since all of them wanted to join your class. Things got pretty ugly. Darren told us to come up with a solution."

"So, you came to me for help?"

Annette said, "I just want you to cooperate with us."

"Cooperate with you?" Connor pretended to be angry. Then he said, "I am the lecturer, and you are my assistant. Why should I cooperate with you? I've never heard such an unreasonable request."

"Women are allowed to be unreasonable. I mean all of us. Just tell me, yes or no?" Annette said cheekily.

  "Fine."

"Alpha Connor, then we will be waiting for you this afternoon."

After that, Annette hung up the phone.

Sara was a little surprised. "Alpha Connor always strikes me as a tough man to approach. It turns out that he can chat with those close ones nicely as well."

  Annette thought, 'Nicely?

That's not true at all. He takes absolute pleasure in teasing me.

  I'll teach him a lesson!'

To make sure Darren didn't make a fuss, Annette called him to inform him in advance. She told him that it was Connor who volunteered to go to the basketball court to give his lecture after learning about the situation.

The assistants figured that people didn't have to wait in line anymore, since the class would be held on the basketball court.

Yet they were wrong. After going to the basketball court to take a look, Alanna came back and said, "I'm so glad that we are Alpha Connor's assistants now, and we don't have to fight for seats. The place is fully occupied, and even if we went there now, we'd be sitting at the back and not seeing anything. Some students are smart and bring binoculars with them."

At two o'clock, Annette wanted to wait for a while before going to the basketball court.

Yet Alanna could not keep her cool and insisted on waiting for Connor at the door.

She figured that since they were Connor's assistants, it was only right for them to show up in advance.

Seeing that Melissa and Sara stood up as well, Annette had no choice but to follow them.

The four waited outside the basketball court.

After an hour, six black cars finally appeared outside the basketball court.

Four bodyguards in black suits came out of the cars.

Then these cars pulled away, and Connor's car came along.

He got out of the car gracefully. Looking at the scene, Alanna, who was aside, said excitedly, "What should I do? My legs are numb because I'm so excited?"

Connor walked up the stairs under the escort of the bodyguards and looked at the four women standing at the door.

Melissa took a step forward and said, "Hello, Alpha Connor. We are your assistants. My name is Melissa."

Alanna was so nervous that her voice trembled a little. She said, "Hello, Alpha Connor. My name is Alanna."

Sara also said, "Hello, I am Sara."

Annette looked at him. "Hello, my name is Annette."

"Nice to meet you. Come with me."

After he finished speaking, he walked past the four and walked forward.

Alanna grabbed Annette's arm excitedly and whispered, "Annette, how was I doing? Did my voice shake?"

  "No. You were great."

Melissa glanced at Alanna. "Annette, stop lying. She was shaking."

Alanna looked sideways at Melissa. "You talk too much."

When Connor showed up, the entire basketball court was in an uproar instantly.
