Chapter 115
Chapter 115
Annette was in a dream. She felt someone pick her up, wash her body, and then place her on the bed.
It seemed that someone had said goodnight to her. The voice was both familiar and strange.
She fell into a deep sleep.
When the phone rang, Annette turned over to grope for it.
However, before she could find her phone, she realized that someone was lying next to her.
Her hand moved down, and she opened her eyes in shock.
Then, Annette saw Connor's handsome face.
She retracted her hand and sat up abruptly.
It was not strange for him to sleep by her side.
But this time, she was naked, which shocked her a lot!
Connor opened his eyes calmly and said to her as if nothing had happened last night, "Good morning."
Annette swallowed and said, "Morning."
She pointed at him and asked, "Why aren't you wearing anything?"
"So are you."
Only then did Annette feel a chill on her body. She looked down and saw that she was naked too. She covered herself with the quilt hurriedly.
As she moved, she felt sore all over.
She remembered what had happened last night.
Annette closed her eyes and only remembered that she had dinner with Darren last night.
She had some wine.
She forgot everything that happened next.
She felt a little regretful. Why did she insist on drinking in front of Connor?
Connor sat up and rubbed Annette's head. "Don't regret it."
Annette was embarrassed. "Was it me who took the initiative last night?"
"We have hit it off."
Annette sighed. "You know what will happen when I am drunk. Why didn't you just leave me alone?"
"I knew what you would do after drinking. So, I shouldn't leave you behind, right?"
Annette was embarrassed.
Connor smiled, "Don't be stressed. As long as you don't want to, I won't force you to do anything because of what happened last night. I might have been wrong last night, but I couldn't refuse you. So, I won't apologize to you."
Annette stared at the patterns on the quilt, her hands sweating.
Connor said, "I know you will be awkward if I sit here. I'll go take a shower. You can calm down for a while."
Annette nodded and didn't dare to look at him.
Connor got up and walked into the bathroom naked.
Annette didn't even dare to raise her eyes.
As soon as the bathroom door closed, she patted her forehead hard.
She had thought that the relationship between her and Connor would be distant slowly.
However...
What should she do in the future?
Hearing the sound of water in the bathroom, Annette thought for a moment and decided to leave directly. She got up from bed, put on her clothes, grabbed her bag, and left.
She went out of the door and suddenly realized something. Why did they come back here last night?
Were there any paparazzi at the entrance? She didn't know if she and Connor were spotted.
It would be more troublesome if she went out with Connor.
Annette took a deep breath and sent him a text message before leaving.
Connor came out of the bathroom and found that Annette had escaped.
He tilted his head and smiled. He dried his hair calmly as he walked to the bedside table to pick up his phone.
He was going to call her, but he saw Annette's text message first.
He read the high-sounding words on the screen.
"To avoid being photographed by reporters, I'll be leaving first. Be careful when you go out."
Connor dialed Annette's number.
Annette struggled for a long time before she picked up the phone.
"Stand in place and don't move," Connor said.
"I have to go to school. It's late."
"If something happens to you at school later, don't blame me," Connor said with a smile.
Annette was puzzled. What could happen to her?
Not many people were in the school. Three students walked past Annette and all looked at her neck.
Annette wondered why they were looking at her.
She entered the office and was about to go out for breakfast. Sara pushed the door open and came in.
Annette smiled faintly. "Sara, you are early today."
"I have an appointment with a student. We'll talk about something," Sara said as her eyes were fixed on Annette's neck.
Seeing Sara's awkward expression, Annette frowned and touched her neck. "Sara, what's wrong?"
Sara hesitated for a moment and then pointed at Annette's neck. "It was a wonderful night, right?"
"What?" Annette reacted. She turned around as if she remembered something.
She took out a small mirror and looked at her neck.
For a moment, she was so embarrassed that she wanted to dig up a hole and hide inside.
There were several hickeys on her neck!
Annette thought of what Connor had said to her on the phone. She was upset and wanted to beat him up.
Connor had seen the hickeys clearly, yet he didn't tell her directly just now.
What a bad guy!
Annette felt ashamed.
Seeing Annette's upset look, Sara guessed that she didn't notice the hickeys on her neck.
Sara took off her scarf and put it on Annette.
"Annette, it is a little cold today. You didn't wear much. This scarf is new, you can keep it."
Annette looked at Sara embarrassingly. "Sara, thank you so much."
Sara patted Annette on the shoulder. "We work in the same office. It's nothing."
She returned to her desk, picked up her documents, and left.
After work, Annette went to the mall to pick up a gift for Sara.
Just as she reached the entrance of the mall, she received a call from Connor.
She did not pick up the phone.
Annette wanted to ask Connor why he did not remind her about the hickeys on her neck.
However, she knew that he had done it on purpose, so she felt like ignoring him.
Annette walked around the mall and finally entered a shop selling accessories. She focused on picking up a scarf.
Just as she walked out of the shop, someone patted her on the shoulder.
She turned around and saw the person's face. She was so surprised that she almost couldn't speak.
The handsome man was smiling at Annette.
"Is it you, Ann? I saw you from a distance and thought it was you."
Annette covered her mouth, her voice trembling. "Zachary?"
"Fortunately, you recognized me. I thought you wouldn't remember me."
Annette looked at him without blinking.
