His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 113

Chapter 113

Connor knew everything. If Darren didn't learn about the previous president in advance, he wouldn't have begun to raise funds as soon as he took office.

However, Connor didn't say it out loud.

Annette said, "In my opinion, since you want to raise funds for Werewolf University from other enterprises or packs, the whereabouts of the money must be explained clearly and openly."

Darren glanced at Annette and smiled, "I agree with you. Annette, the red wine tastes quite good. You should try it."

Annette looked at Darren and said, "Mr. Crace, I can't drink."

"The wine is made in the best wine-producing region. Just take a sip. If you get drunk, we will send you back," Darren said.

Annette was a little confused, but she still picked up the glass and tasted the red wine.

Connor recalled what Annette had done when she got drunk last time. He was amused with a small smile.

Annette noticed his smile. She thought that Connor wanted to see her make a fool of herself.

She was a little angry, so she drank all the red wine in the glass in one go.

Darren poured some more for her.

Annette drank it all once again. Soon, her face flushed.

She patted her face in an attempt to stay sober.

Seeing that she was a little tipsy, Connor said to Darren, "The red wine is good. I will personally pay for the construction of the dormitory. As for the funds you mentioned, I will donate 200 thousand dollars to the school in the name of the Norman Group every year."

"Alpha Connor, that's so generous of you," Darren said excitedly.

  Connor smiled, "You're welcome."

Darren put down his glass and took out his phone as if he had thought of something. He apologized, "Alpha Connor, please excuse me for a moment. I need to make a call."

  "Please go ahead."

After Darren walked out, Connor rubbed Annette's head and asked, "How are you feeling now?"

Annette said with a silly smile, "Connor, don't move. I feel a little dizzy."

  "Are you drunk?"

"Drunk? That's impossible. I'm good at drinking and I can drink a lot." As she spoke, Annette staggered and patted her chest confidently.

Connor held back his laughter and said, "Don't drink anymore. I'll take you home."

He heard footsteps at the door and let go of his hand around Annette's shoulders.

Annette faced down on the table and muttered, "I want to go home."

Darren pushed the door open and walked in. He smiled at Connor. "Alpha Connor, I met my daughter, Judica, when I was on the phone outside. She admires you very much. She heard that I was eating with you and insisted on coming in to see you."

The door to the private room was opened again.

And a young woman in fashionable clothes walked in.

The woman looked at Connor with a bright smile and said, "Hello, Alpha Connor. I am Judica. It is a great honor to meet you here."

  Connor's eyes swept over Judica.

  He nodded expressionlessly.

Judica glanced at Annette, who was lying beside Connor. She walked around the table to the other seat beside Connor and said, "Alpha Connor, may I have a drink with you?"

Just as she finished her words, Annette suddenly stood up and said, "I want to drink!"

With that, she fell backward unconsciously.

Connor quickly stood up and wrapped Annette in his arms.

He helped her up, but she sat directly in the chair. She pointed at Connor and said, "Thank you. Oh, I remember. You don't accept verbal thanks. Connor, you are picky."

Hearing Annette's crazy words, Darren broke out in a cold sweat.

Darren stepped forward and patted Annette gently on the shoulder. "Annette? Annette?"

Connor frowned as he stared at Darren's hand on Annette's shoulder. He said unhappily, "Mr. Crace, can't you tell that Annette is drunk?"

Darren smiled awkwardly. "Alpha Connor, please don't mind her. I'll send her back first. Judica, stay here with Alpha Connor."

Before he could do something, Annette stood up again.

She held the cup in front of her and looked at the three people around her vaguely.

When she saw a woman standing behind Connor, she stretched her neck forward and rubbed her eyes.

She pointed at Judica in surprise and said to Connor, "There's a ghost beside you!"

  Darren patted his forehead speechlessly.

Judica stomped her feet and said, "Dad, is she a teacher in your school? Why did you bring her to such an occasion? She is so rude!"

Hearing Judica's words, Connor was a little displeased. He looked at Judica with dissatisfaction and said, "Ms. Crace, I don't agree with what you said. Don't you think Annette is lovely after she gets drunk?"

Judica was stunned and looked at Annette with some displeasure.

Because Annette couldn't stand steadily, Connor hugged her in his arms.

Judica said unhappily, "Dad, I'll stay with Alpha Connor here. You should send her home now."

Darren nodded. He was ready to help Annette up.

Just as he reached out his hand, Connor turned around and prevented him from touching Annette's shoulder.

Darren looked at Connor. "Alpha Connor, I'll..."

"Do you know where Annette lives?" Connor's tone was a little cold.

"I'll send her to the hotel for a night."

"A Hotel?" Connor was even more dissatisfied. He said, "Seriously?"

Darren explained, "Alpha Connor, don't get me wrong. I don't have any ill intentions toward her. And I'm old enough to be her dad."

"Well, but you are a man and Annette is a young woman. If she went to the hotel with a man who was old enough to be her father, her reputation might be ruined."

Darren was embarrassed. Judica said, "I'll send her off."

Connor refused coldly, "No need. Annette was Marcus' tutor. My driver knows where she lives. I'll send her home."
