Heroes' Prison

Chapter 145 Yun Sihai

Chapter 145 Yun Sihai

In fact, the incarnation ability of the White Dragon Clan wasn’t bad at all. Huang Yi found himself tempted by it, as once he mastered this skill, he would essentially have a permanent external incarnation to dispatch on perilous missions, and should it perish, it could still resurrect!

Huang Yi decided to head to Bai Long Lake as soon as possible to seek a drop of essence blood from the White Dragon King, to test if he could evolve into a White Dragon.

He had no absolute confidence in success, for the Dragon Clan was among the most top-level races on this vast continent. A mortal might spend their entire life without even catching sight of an Earthwalking Dragon, which had merely a faint connection to the Dragon Clan—let alone a True Dragon like the White Dragon. The essence blood of the Dragon Clan was undoubtedly immensely powerful, and Huang Yi faced a restraint that the essence blood of his target couldn’t be too potent, or he wouldn’t be able to absorb it. He could only do his best to try.

"But forget about the Dragon Clan, they are the most noble and powerful creatures on the continent; even after living for more than five hundred years, I’ve only seen an Earthwalking Dragon three times. I have never seen a true member of the Dragon Clan, they are too unreal and elusive, existing only within the tales spun by Bards," said Dong Yu as he shook his head slightly, his tone tinged with regret.

Huang Yi smiled subtly without responding; just because others had not seen something didn’t mean he couldn’t. His perspective could arguably be considered one of the broadest in The Second World—at least in the Heroes’ Prison, where more than five thousand heroes were detained, each a historic figure of renown, their tales of legend echoing their deeds. Besides, Huang Yi had met real gods—his parents: his father, the Beast God, and his mother, a personage from the Divine Realm. With such insight, even a Holy Domain Warrior would pale in comparison.

"Let me take you to the Teleportation Circle to learn skills," Dong Yu said and began leading the way ahead.

After a short walk, they arrived at a room. On the floor of the room was a Teleportation Circle. The design on this circle was the same as the one in Thornbush City, meant specifically for teleporting to Pantheon’s Mystic Realms.

"Honored Rare Class Holder, you are the first person ever in Hedun City to learn Rare Class Skills, so the teleportation fee will be waived!" said Dong Yu as he took out five magic stones and inserted them into the slots of the Magic Circle, activating the Teleportation Circle.

"Thank you!" Huang Yi didn’t hold back and stepped onto the Teleportation Circle. A pulling force ensued, and in an instant, his body disappeared, reappearing once more within Pantheon’s Mystic Realms.

This was Huang Yi’s fourth visit to Pantheon’s Mystic Realms—a public realm accessible to any Rare Class Holder. However, on his first three visits, he hadn’t encountered other players; this time, though, he spotted someone.

There, ahead, was a circle of megaliths, with several massive stone pillars, each over ten meters high, rising into the air before them. And above those pillars, a man in a white robe was fiercely clashing with a mighty Warrior; the two fought breathlessly, flitting and leaping among the stone pillars, risking a fall with the slightest misstep.

Clearly, the Warrior was an NPC, while the man in white was a player here to learn skills. If he could kill the Warrior, he would obtain the Warrior’s Ashes and learn the Level 45 skill.

The man in the white robe wielded a long sword and was enveloped in a faint mist of clouds that revealed an extraordinary, otherworldly, and carefree demeanor as he moved agilely across the stone pillars. The surrounding clouds also seemed to move with him, as if he were riding upon them.

After watching for only a few seconds, Huang Yi nodded to himself. The player in white was a true expert—his movement in combat was smooth as flowing water, indicating a high Agility Attribute, and he managed this agility impeccably without losing control.

Many who gain agility surpassing their capabilities end up out of control, unable to handle such high levels of Agility, and their strength might even regress as a result. Hence, the strength of a player isn’t solely judged by the level of their Attributes but also by whether they can fully control such high-level Attributes.

Just then, the player in white made an unbelievable move by Blinking behind the Warrior and driving his sword into it. The Warrior trembled, its body erupting in violent flames, and quickly turned to a heap of red ashes.

The white-robed man placed his hand on the ashes on the ground, and a stream of red energy flowed into his body. Then he smiled contentedly and jumped straight down from the stone pillar. Just before landing, clouds gathered swiftly at his feet, cushioning his descent gently to the ground as if he truly rode the clouds.

The man in the white robe looked at Huang Yi and walked straight toward him, smiling slightly, he said, "Friend, thank you."

"Huh? I didn’t make a move." Huang Yi shook his head; he had been watching the whole time and hadn’t intervened.

"It’s precisely because you didn’t make a move that I’m thanking you," the white-robed man explained. "This is a public secret realm accessible to any Rare Class Holder. Some of them do interfere and try to steal monsters. I’ve run into that once before; almost killed the Warrior but then, unlucky as I was, someone teleported in just in time to snag my kill, and I had to re-do the whole fight."

Huang Yi understood all too well. The challenges in Pantheon’s Mystic Realms became tougher later on; the higher the skills’ levels one learned, the harder the bosses would be, and some of the weaker Rare Class Holders might find the challenges too difficult, resorting to stealing monster kills to get by. However, at this stage, there were not many such people, after all, most of them were learning skills of the initial dozen levels, and the challenges were not too formidable.

"Brother, let’s make friends! Here’s my card!" At that moment, the man in the white robe handed over a white card.

Huang Yi accepted it with both hands and examined it closely; there was only one line of text—

Yun Sihai—Vice President of Xuanyuan Guild

"Xuanyuan Guild!" Huang Yi muttered the name to himself—it was none other than the guild established by Dao Feng, the top guild in the China Region and one of the two most favored for the annual Best Guild Award in The Second World, the other being Heaven, founded by a player from the United States. He hadn’t expected that the player before him, Yun Sihai, was the vice president of such a prestigious guild!

"It’s just a hollow title!" Yun Sihai shook his head with a smile. "Though I’m the vice president, I’m not interested in domination. I’ll leave those ambitions to Dao Feng! I just want to be a casual player who roams the four seas. If you ever find any fun place, feel free to call on me."

Huang Yi nodded and carefully stowed Yun Sihai’s card, then took out one of his own and handed it over.
