Chapter 547: Pain Multiplier Activated

Chapter 547: Pain Multiplier Activated

Heinkel saw it. Just before Rachel released her attack, she shifted slightly to the side.

His eyes widened in shock. "You!"

His [Duality Collapse Strike] was designed to crush everything inward, disrupting any skill it touched.

The moment Rachel prepared to fire, he had already decided to counter with his ultimate technique.

But to his surprise... Rachel seemed to know.

Still, his attack surged forward, managing to graze part of Dahlia’s [Love Beam], weakening and disrupting it.

Heinkel had already begun to move, believing it would at least lessen the damage.

But he was wrong.

The instant Rachel’s attack struck him, it swallowed him whole and hurled his body backward.

"AARRGGHHH!!"

His feet dragged violently across the ground, carving deep grooves into the arena. His arms trembled as he struggled to resist the force.

What he didn’t know was that all of Rachel’s attacks now carried the same and enhanced effect: reduced physical damage, but the pain intensified more than twofold.

So even though his body remained largely intact, the agony was overwhelming.

"GHHKK!"

His entire body shook as he dropped to one knee. "Why... are all your skills like this?!"

Heinkel staggered, one foot slipping as he barely managed to stop himself from collapsing completely.

His breathing turned ragged, his shoulders trembling as he fought to regain control.

Meanwhile, Rachel stood across from him, stunned.

Seeing the aftermath, she realized what would have happened if she had been hit by Heinkel’s attack.

Just like Garion’s [Gravity Hole], it devoured everything in its path and crushed it inward.

Rachel let out a quiet breath. Thank God I dodged that.

---

Rachel stood where she was, taking a moment to steady her breathing. Once she calmed down, she turned toward Heinkel and walked over to him.

When she reached him, she saw that he was lying on the ground. His face was twisted in agony, and his breathing came out hoarse and uneven.

And yet... his body looked completely unharmed, as if he hadn’t taken any damage at all.

Rachel smirked. "Wow, Heinkel. As expected of a perfect chimera, you’re still fine after all that."

Heinkel looked up at her as if he were staring at a devil, his expression tightening into a deep frown. "So what?!"

Rachel’s grin widened. "Since you’re still fine, let’s go again."

Heinkel immediately shook his head. "Hell no. I give up."

Rachel blinked, stunned. "W-what? What the hell? Could you repeat that?"

With the help of one of his underlings, Heinkel struggled to stand. "I already said it. I give up. I’m not doing this again."

Rachel stared at him in disbelief. "But... you’re not even injured."

Heinkel didn’t bother explaining. "When I say I’m done, I’m done. Goodbye."

Unbeknownst to Rachel, the reason for Heinkel’s sudden surrender lay in his unique ability.

His "cheat" was [Clear Mind]. No matter what he endured, his thoughts remained perfectly stable.

Even while cultivating his Demonic Chimera Path, his mind stayed calm and unaffected.

Because of that, he had rarely experienced true pain. So the moment Rachel used a skill that inflicted absolute, overwhelming pain... he broke.

He had no intention of ever feeling that again.

Rachel watched him leave and let out a quiet sigh. "So... I win, huh?"

Heinkel snorted as he turned back toward her. "Win?"

Then he tilted his head slightly. "Of course not."

Rachel’s brows furrowed. "What do you mean by that?"

She took a step forward, her voice firm. "I beat you, the leader of the Black Chimera. That means I win, and the tournament is over."

Heinkel turned fully away from her. "Indeed, you have defeated me... but don’t think for a second that I am the strongest."

Rachel’s eyes narrowed. "W-what do you mean by that?"

Slowly, Heinkel straightened and faced the demon gate near the arena. His voice dropped into something almost reverent.

"Please come out... Demon Lord Haron."

Suddenly, the demon gate stirred. Dark energy pulsed from within as a figure began to emerge.

He was tall, broad-shouldered, and powerfully built. His body was covered in thick fur, and around his neck was a mane that framed his head like a crown.

He was no human.

A humanoid lion stood before them, and from the sheer weight and taste of his aura, he was unmistakably a demon.

Rachel frowned. "So this is your plan? Calling a demon for backup?"

Heinkel ignored her completely. He turned to Haron and dropped to one knee.

"Lord Haron... we have failed. We did not anticipate their strength. We ask for your aid so that we may still claim victory."

Haron glanced down at him, then grinned. "I see... If that’s the case, then for the sake of my territory... I’ll help you."

Heinkel smiled. "Thank you, my lord."

Haron’s gaze shifted to Rachel as he began walking toward her, slow and deliberate. "So... you’re the one who defeated Heinkel, hmm?"

Rachel instinctively straightened, meeting his gaze with a confident grin. "Yeah. That’s me... Rachel, the one who beat him. So... what do you want?"

Haron’s smile widened. "Woman..."

His eyes roamed over her, assessing, measuring. "You are strong. So why don’t you become... my concubine?"

Rachel blinked. "Excuse me?"

Haron tilted his head slightly, as if confused by her reaction. "Don’t you understand, woman?"

He placed a hand on his chest. "I am Haron, the Beast Demon Lord. To be chosen by me is a great privilege."

He extended his hand toward her. "You should be honored."

Rachel stared at him, her expression darkening. "A privilege...?"

Her lips twitched before curling into a sharp, dangerous smile. "Let me get this straight, you stupid cat..."

Haron’s expression shifted. "What did you just call me?"

Rachel didn’t hesitate. "I’m Rachel... Garion’s husband. And who the hell do you think you are, asking me to become your concubine?"

She let out a harsh snort. "Eat shit, you ugly, delusional furball."

For a moment, there was silence.

Then Haron burst into laughter. "Hahaha... You’re insane. Just as expected of a lioness."

His grin turned feral as he clenched his fist. "Then let me show you just how great I am, the Beast Demon Lord."

Rachel cracked her knuckles, her grin just as fierce. "You don’t know shit, you oversized housecat."

Her stance lowered, ready for battle. "You’re the one who’s about to get put down."
