Chapter 546: Perfect Chimera Got Folded
Chapter 546: Perfect Chimera Got Folded
Rachel rushed toward Heinkel, raising her hand in a single, fluid motion.
[Love Punch]
Her fist drove straight into his chest.
Heinkel only laughed. "Do you really think the same attack will work on me?"
But the moment it connected, his expression changed.
A powerful force exploded through his body, sending him flying backward.
Pain surged across his chest, sharp and suffocating, cutting his breath short mid-inhale.
Unlike before, this time the impact left real damage. It wasn’t fatal, but the intensity of it shattered his composure.
He steadied himself and looked back at Rachel, eyes wide. "What the hell was that? How can your attack affect me now?"
Rachel smirked, appearing instantly in front of him. "Because I’ve evolved into a god... So let me teach you a lesson."
[Love Kick]
Her leg lashed out, striking his side. The blow sent him hurtling sideways as a cry of pain tore from his throat.
"AARRGGHH...! How can this be...? I... I am a perfect chimera... There’s no way your attacks should work!"
Rachel’s grin widened. "Didn’t I just tell you? I’m a god now. And no matter how ’perfect’ you are... you’re still just a chimera."
Heinkel roared in fury. Black and white energy erupted around him, growing thicker and more violent.
"No... no... I am the perfect chimera! I can’t lose here!" His voice trembled with rage and desperation. "I’ll show you just how great I am!"
He surged forward. In his hand, black-and-white energy condensed, forming thin, razor-edged fangs that extended along his fingers.
[Eclipse Fang Manifestation]
With a feral snarl, he slashed at her, but Rachel reacted instantly. She caught his claw mid-strike, stopping it cold with a firm grip.
Rachel was no ordinary fighter. As a God Gym divine trainer, she had been taught countless combat techniques by Garion himself.
Against her refined skill and discipline, Heinkel’s reliance on raw chimera power alone put him at a clear disadvantage in close combat.
Rachel met his gaze and smirked. "Is this all you can do, Heinkel? I expected more from the ’perfect chimera.’"
Before he could respond, she clenched her free hand forward, delivering the same precise punch as before... straight into his stomach.
The impact forced the air from his lungs. Heinkel coughed violently as his body folded, dropping to his knees while he gasped for breath.
But he was still the perfect chimera.
A low growl escaped him as the energy around his claw shifted once more.
The black-and-white aura twisted, condensing into something denser and more volatile.
"Yeah... you’re better than me in hand-to-hand combat," he rasped, lifting his head with a defiant glare. "But do you really think this is all I have?"
[Equinox Dragon Break]
The technique surged through his arm, designed to destabilize an opponent’s internal energy structure.
He thrust his claw forward, brushing it against Dahlia. "Now... take this."
Dahlia’s expression tightened. For a brief moment, her energy flow wavered, distorted by the contact.
Even her body felt slightly off, as though something within her had been shaken out of alignment.
Still, she didn’t let go.
Her grip tightened around his claw, anchoring him in place. She steadied her breathing, forcing her energy back under control.
"Not bad," she said coolly. "You managed to disrupt me."
Her eyes sharpened. "But do you really think that’s enough?"
She leaned in slightly, unshaken. "I’ve trained in far harsher conditions under Garion. You’ll need more than that."
Heinkel frowned, irritation flashing across his face. Then, slowly, a grin spread across his lips. "Then how about this...?"
[Voidflare Dragon Pulse]
He tilted his head back and opened his mouth.
Black-and-white energy gathered at his throat, swirling violently as opposing forces fused together.
The air around him trembled under the pressure, the unstable power building toward release.
Rachel frowned. "Damn... you even have a dragon breath technique?"
She released her grip instantly and leapt back, putting distance between them.
A heartbeat later, Heinkel unleashed it.
A concentrated blast of black-and-white energy erupted from his mouth, tearing through the space where she had just stood.
The beam carved a jagged path forward, but Rachel twisted aside at the last moment, narrowly avoiding the attack.
She landed lightly and glanced back at him, exhaling. "Damn... you’re not an easy one."
Heinkel straightened, a dark grin forming. "Of course I’m not."
His eyes burned with fury. "And now I’ll make you pay for what you’ve done to me."
He spread both arms wide, then slashed forward.
[Twilight Scale Sever]
The moment his hands cut through the air, the scales across his body flared.
Black-and-white energy spilled from them, fusing into razor-thin arcs that shot toward Rachel like blades.
Rachel shifted her stance and dodged, weaving between the attacks, but one of the arcs sliced through a strand of her hair as it passed.
She paused, touching the severed ends, a hint of surprise crossing her face. "Wow... that’s sharp."
"Just shut up and disappear!" Heinkel roared.
He launched another barrage, the cutting waves multiplying as they streaked toward her from multiple angles.
Rachel didn’t move this time.
Instead, she smirked. "Do you really think this is enough to defeat me?"
She drew in a breath and focused her energy into her arms.
As the attacks reached her, she caught one of the energy blades barehanded and crushed it.
The rest shattered against her reinforced aura, dissipating into nothing.
Heinkel’s eyes widened. "How... how is that possible...?"
Rachel simply smiled, a soft, confident laugh escaping her lips. "Hehe... now it’s my turn."
She drew both hands back. A soft pink glow began to gather between her palms, condensing into a pulsing sphere of energy.
Heinkel frowned. "What are you doing?"
Rachel’s smile widened slightly. "Of course... the same as you. I’m unleashing my energy blast."
Heinkel clicked his tongue, irritation flashing across his face. "Damn it... then I’ll finish you with my ultimate strike."
He seized his right claw with his left, channeling every ounce of his energy into it.
Dark and light intertwined, spiraling together as his power surged.
His right claw began to glow, black and white energy crackling violently around it.
With a roar, Heinkel raised his arm and thrust it forward.
[Duality Collapse Strike]
A heartbeat later, Rachel moved.
Just before releasing her attack, she stepped slightly to the side. Then she unleashed the energy she had been gathering.
[Love Beam]
