Chapter 530: Azure Dragon? Try Again

Chapter 530: Azure Dragon? Try Again

Rachel stared at Mersha in disbelief. "Did you even test that elixir first?"

Mersha shook her head without hesitation. "No, but don’t worry."

She turned to Dahlia with a confident grin. "Big Sister Dahlia already possesses dragon power. She’ll be fine."

Rachel’s brows drew together. "Mersha... why don’t you test it yourself first? Even if it’s dragon-based, it still feels... demonic."

Mersha tilted her head, raising an eyebrow. "And how exactly am I supposed to test something like that?"

She lifted both hands in a casual shrug. "Seriously, don’t worry. It’ll work for her. Big Sister Dahlia is stronger than you think."

Rachel exhaled slowly, forcing herself to stay calm as she turned back toward the arena. "Let’s hope you’re right, Mersha."

---

Dahlia dropped to one knee, one hand pressed against her chest as a surge of energy coursed through her body.

A moment later, her form began to expand, the strain shattering her armor.

The fragments didn’t simply fall away. They dissolved, absorbed into her skin as though consumed by the very power overtaking her.

Then she lifted off the ground.

Her back arched, suspended midair as the transformation took hold.

Her body grew larger, muscles reshaping beneath newly forming scales that spread like a living tide across her skin.

Her limbs stretched and reformed, becoming something far more monstrous.

With a violent tear, wings burst from her back, followed by a long, powerful tail.

Within seconds, her final form emerged, stunning everyone present, even Rachel and the others.

Dahlia had always been able to transform into a humanoid azure sky dragon. But this time...

She had become something entirely different. Instead she transformed into a massive demonic black dragon.

Mersha’s mouth fell open in shock. "Wow... I didn’t think she’d transform into a demonic dragon instead."

---

Camille looked up at the massive black dragon. Her expression barely changed, but her eyes sharpened with interest.

Her tail swayed once behind her. "Interesting... so you can transform into a demonic dragon now."

She let out a soft chuckle. "To think you’re almost the same as me, a demonic cultivator."

But even after she spoke, Dahlia gave no response.

Camille’s chuckle grew into a sharper laugh. "So you can’t even answer me now? You’re even worse than me... a demonic beast without a mind."

Her tails swayed more intensely as her gaze hardened. "Then let’s see who is truly superior... you, a demonic dragon."

She paused slightly, a faint smirk forming. "Or me, a perfected chimera."

----

Dahlia spread her wings wide, her massive form casting a shadow across the arena. A deep, thunderous roar burst from her chest.

[Demonic Dragon Roar]

The sound slammed outward like a shockwave.

Wind and crushing pressure surged across the battlefield, splitting the ground into jagged cracks that spread in all directions.

Camille stood her ground, facing the roar head-on. Instead of flinching, she grinned.

"Did you forget?" she said calmly.

"I am a demonic cultivator too and stronger than you. A measly demonic dragon roar isn’t enough to defeat me."

She lifted her chin slightly, her chest expanding as she inhaled. Then, in the next moment...

[Toxic Mist Breath]

A thick stream of green liquid shot from her mouth toward Dahlia.

In midair, it burst apart, rapidly expanding into a dense, toxic mist that swallowed Dahlia whole.

Camille’s eyes narrowed as she observed the scene. "Now, feel it, my specialized poison: the Perfect Chimera Venom."

Her tail swayed once, slow and confident. "Even if you’ve become a demonic dragon... you won’t survive that."

But instead of a collapsing dragon, what answered her was a deafening roar.

In the next instant, Dahlia slammed her wings downward.

A powerful gust erupted, tearing through the mist and scattering it into nothingness.

Camille’s smile faltered. Her eyes widened in disbelief. "How... how is this possible? My venom can paralyze even cultivators in the Perfection Realm..."

But Dahlia did not give her time to process.

The demonic dragon turned, her massive body coiling with lethal intent as she opened her jaws wide.

[Demonic Dragon Breath]

Dark energy gathered at her mouth, condensing into a violent sphere of black flames laced with crackling lightning.

In the next instant, it surged forward, an overwhelming torrent of destruction aimed straight at Camille.

Camille’s gaze sharpened, but she did not retreat.

Instead, she coiled her tail tightly beneath her like a compressed spring.

With a sudden release, she launched herself upward, narrowly evading the incoming breath as it tore through the space she had occupied.

In midair, she looked up at Dahlia, her expression hardening.

"I don’t know how you resisted my venom," she said coldly, "but you’re still only a Third Realm dragon."

Her body twisted fluidly, her tail cutting through the remnants of the dragon breath with surprising ease as she ascended above Dahlia’s head.

[Venom Overdrive]

A surge of toxic energy erupted within her.

The venom coursing through her veins intensified, flooding her entire body and amplifying her strength to its peak.

Camille twisted again, tightening her tail further, compressing it to its limit.

[Coiling Crush]

Her tail came crashing down like a divine hammer.

The impact struck Dahlia’s head directly.

A deafening shockwave rippled across the arena as Dahlia’s massive body was driven downward, slamming violently into the ground.

The earth shattered on impact, forming a deep crater beneath her.

Camille landed lightly a short distance away, her tail slowly uncurling as the energy around her settled.

She exhaled once, steady and controlled, her eyes fixed on the crater below.

"Now you understand," she said quietly, "the strength of the Perfect Chimera."

---

Rachel stepped forward without thinking, eyes fixed on the crater. "Dahlia!"

Beside her, Mersha didn’t look worried. She smiled, arms loosely behind her back.

"Come on, Miss Rachel," she said lightly. "Big sister Dahlia isn’t that easy to take down."

Rachel didn’t respond. Her gaze didn’t move.

Mersha tilted her head, still watching. "Her demonic dragon form is much tougher than you think..."

She paused, her smile widening just a little. "...and this isn’t over yet."

Rachel’s eyes sharpened.

From the crater... a low sound echoed. Then it grew louder, forming into a roar.
