He’s so Flirty

Chapter 30

Chapter 30

Chapter 30 Want to Kiss“Do you want to sit next to Qin Qing?”

Shen Liang was momentarily surprised. However, once that emotion passed, his smile returned—

“In that case, you’ll have to give me a good reason. Otherwise, not only might Mr. Fu come after me once he returns, but I can’t let you off the hook either.”

“Mr. Shen, didn’t you just say that you’re in charge of all class matters this semester?” Wen Yufeng’s lips curled slightly.

Shen Liang squinted his eyes with a smile, “Oh, so you were planning to use that against me?”

Despite his words, there wasn’t a trace of anger in Shen Liang’s expression—it was clear he was joking. But after a few seconds, his expression grew serious.

“Regardless, you need to give me an appropriate reason if you want me to consider this request.”

Wen Yufeng met Shen Liang’s gaze for two seconds before lowering his eyes.

He sighed inwardly.

“I want Qin Qing to tutor me in my studies.”

“…”

Shen Liang opened his mouth but couldn’t say anything for a long time.

After a while, he couldn’t hold back his laughter, the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes becoming more pronounced—

“She’s going to tutor you?—Wen Yufeng, I’ve been your teacher for a year now, and I can count on one hand the number of times you’ve attended my classes!”

As he spoke, Shen Liang looked up with a smile—

“And now you’re telling me you want to sit next to her because you need tutoring?”

“…”

Wen Yufeng fell silent and turned his gaze to the girl sitting below.

She was clutching her backpack tightly with her slender hands, her large, clear eyes fixed on him, her expression innocent and quiet.

She really did look like a crystal bunny.

—Pure, transparent, and fragile.

From the second time they met, he knew he should stay away from her, thinking it might be better for both of them.

But he couldn’t. At some point, she became like the sun to him, and he was just one of the planets. Wherever she was, he was irresistibly drawn to her, his gaze, attention, and heart inevitably focused on her.

Wen Yufeng turned his gaze back to Shen Liang.

Gone was his usual laid-back demeanor. Now, his expression was calm and serious.

“Sir, I know exactly what I want, so please allow it.”

Shen Liang looked at him for a moment, his smile finally fading.

He sighed, “I’ve always thought you knew exactly what you wanted, but now it seems I was wrong. Wen Yufeng, I hope you understand that this period of youth, though it may seem long and even torturous, is actually fleeting and irreplaceable. You might be eager to grow up and pursue your desires, but you might not be ready yet. The best opportunities often come when most people are unprepared.”

He paused, looking up.

“So, during this brief time, for those things that can only be done now—

have you really thought it through? Are you willing to give them up for someone or something else, without regret or resentment in the future?”

Wen Yufeng paused, pondering Shen Liang’s words.

Shen Liang continued after a moment of silence, “…I’ve seen you at the shooting range many times. I can guess what you do with your time when you’re not at school.”

“…”

Wen Yufeng’s gaze faltered for a moment.

After a while, he lowered his eyes.

“Mr. Shen, I don’t know if I’ll regret this in the future, but I know that if I don’t do this, I’ll definitely regret it.”

“…All right.”

It took Shen Liang a long time to respond with just one word.

Before Wen Yufeng could reply, Shen Liang shifted the conversation, “But being desk mates involves two people. I can’t make changes based solely on your wishes; I need to hear what Qin Qing thinks.”

Wen Yufeng frowned at his words.

Shen Liang didn’t linger any longer. He stepped down from the podium and walked directly over to Qin Qing.

Most of the students had already left, so only a few remained in the classroom.

Qin Qing, seeing Shen Liang walking straight toward her after just talking to Wen Yufeng, stood up in surprise.

“Mr. Shen?”

She looked at him with a puzzled expression, then glanced uneasily at Wen Yufeng, who was still standing by the podium, his side facing the classroom.

The boy had his eyes downcast and didn’t respond to her gaze.

“Qin Qing, here’s the situation: Wen Yufeng has requested to sit next to you. What’s your opinion?”

“…”

Qin Qing’s mouth opened slightly in surprise, and she looked at Wen Yufeng again, who was still standing by the podium.

This time, he seemed to feel her gaze. He lifted his eyelids, and his dark eyes locked onto hers.

The deep, dark look in his eyes burned like a flame, and Qin Qing felt as though she had been scorched. She quickly averted her gaze.

She turned back to Shen Liang with a slightly flustered expression.

Shen Liang said, “You don’t need to look at him, nor consider anyone else’s opinion. I just need to know your own thoughts.”

“…”

This time, Qin Qing was silent for an unusually long time.

So long that Wen Yufeng’s gaze darkened, and he began to walk down from the podium.

“Mr. Shen, forget it, I—”

“May I know…”

Qin Qing suddenly spoke, cutting off Wen Yufeng’s words.

Both Shen Liang and Wen Yufeng turned their attention to her.

“…”

Feeling both sets of eyes on her, Qin Qing’s cheeks began to warm. She didn’t know where the sudden courage to speak had come from, but she had an inexplicable feeling that she might miss out on something.

She looked up seriously at Shen Liang.

“Can I know why Wen Yufeng wants to sit next to me?”

This question made Shen Liang nod in approval, but after waiting for a while, he didn’t hear any response from the boy behind him. When he looked up, he saw Qin Qing staring at him with earnest eyes.

Shen Liang paused, then glanced at Wen Yufeng with a sigh before turning back to Qin Qing.

“He hopes you can help him with his studies.”

This answer, which had made Shen Liang laugh earlier, only brought a brief silence from Qin Qing.

After the silence, the girl nodded.

“Mr. Shen, I don’t have any objections.”

Shen Liang sighed internally, just about to say something when the girl spoke again.

—

“But,” Qin Qing looked at Wen Yufeng, “if Wen Yufeng doesn’t improve his grades, I’d like you to change our seats back.”

This answer took Shen Liang by surprise.

After a moment of surprise, he burst out laughing.

As he laughed, he turned to Wen Yufeng—

“Wen Yufeng, did you hear what Qin Qing said?”

“…”

Wen Yufeng’s gaze sparkled as he looked at his little classmate. After a moment, his thin lips curved upward, his tongue pressing against the roof of his mouth, and his eyes narrowed slightly.

“Mhm.”

His voice was slightly hoarse, and his expression was one of amusement.

“I heard you loud and clear.”

“…”

His gaze was so intense that Qin Qing couldn’t hold out for long. She quickly lowered her head, avoiding his eyes.

“All right then, since both of you are willing, it’s settled,” Shen Liang said, frowning as he considered their seating arrangement. “But Wen Yufeng, you’re quite tall, and sitting in the front might block the view of the students behind you—Qin Qing, would you mind moving to the back?”

Qin Qing had already guessed why Wen Yufeng had asked if she was nearsighted earlier, so she wasn’t surprised. She nodded.

“That’s fine, Mr. Shen.”

After agreeing, she furrowed her delicate brows slightly. “Mr. Shen, could you please not tell my mom about this?”

Shen Liang was puzzled. “Hmm? Why not?”

Qin Qing hesitated, her gaze flickering. “My mom might not want me to sit in the back. But like you said, I want to listen to my own opinion.”

“You kids these days, always finding ways to outsmart your teachers!” Shen Liang teased with a smile before nodding.

“All right, then you can move this afternoon. It’s getting late, so head home for lunch.”

With that, Shen Liang gathered his books and walked out of the classroom.

As he passed by Wen Yufeng, Shen Liang sighed but said nothing more.

However, as they brushed past each other, Wen Yufeng spoke up.

His voice was low, “Sir, I won’t give up on what I want to do so easily… I can balance everything.”

Hearing this, Shen Liang paused in his steps but ultimately left the classroom without saying another word.

The classroom fell into silence.

Wen Yufeng looked toward the back of the room. Li Xiang and Zhao Zirui sat there, their expressions complicated, like two despondent cabbages.

“You guys can leave now.”

With that, Wen Yufeng stepped off the podium and walked over to Qin Qing’s desk. He grabbed the bag she was holding with one hand—

“I’ll walk her home.”

Qin Qing’s eyes widened in surprise. “You don’t have to walk me home…”

“How could I not?” Wen Yufeng interrupted her with a smirk, glancing back at her lazily. “You’re the key to my future ‘academic improvement.’ I need to make sure you get home safely.”

Without giving her a chance to refuse, Wen Yufeng slung her bag over his shoulder and started walking out of the classroom.

Qin Qing was momentarily stunned but quickly chased after her bag.

Meanwhile, in the back of the classroom, Li Xiang and Zhao Zirui watched in shock as their 1.86-meter tall Yu-ge walked out carrying a pink and white girls’ school bag.

The bag even had a fluffy bunny keychain swinging from it.

It was quite the show.

“…”

Li Xiang and Zhao Zirui exchanged a silent glance.

They both felt like their entire worldview was about to collapse…

Qin Qing hurriedly chased Wen Yufeng out of the classroom, finally catching up with him near the stairs on the first floor.

“You really don’t need to walk me home…”

Out of breath, Qin Qing trailed beside him, glancing around with some embarrassment. She lowered her voice and spoke softly, “Can you give me back my bag? Everyone’s staring.”

Even though they had spent some time in the classroom, there were still quite a few students in the school building, and many curious eyes were indeed on them.

As they walked out of the building, Wen Yufeng glanced down at the small girl walking beside him and chuckled.

“No.”

“…”

Qin Qing’s delicate face scrunched up in frustration.

After thinking for a moment, she caught up with him again. “My second brother just texted me. He said Grandma was worried because I didn’t wear a jacket this morning, so he’s coming to pick me up for lunch.”

Hearing this, Wen Yufeng abruptly stopped walking, and his sharp eyebrows knitted together.

“Is it that guy from last time?”

Qin Qing stayed silent.

She truly didn’t understand why there was so much animosity between the two of them.

When Qin Qing didn’t answer, Wen Yufeng knew the answer was yes.

His handsome face darkened, and the slight happiness in his eyes faded.

He started walking again, but this time he kept his eyes on the small girl walking beside him.

His voice was low and displeased.

“Qin Qing, do you know that the Marriage Law states that direct relatives and collateral relatives within three generations are prohibited from getting married?”

“…Huh?”

Qin Qing looked up at him in confusion.

“So, in the future, you should keep your distance from him.”

“…”

Realizing who he meant by “him,” Qin Qing fell silent, her emotions complicated.

—Mom, what should I do if my new deskmate seems a bit crazy?

As Qin Qing silently grumbled to herself, they neared the school gate.

Suddenly realizing where they were, Qin Qing’s expression changed.

She instinctively reached out and pulled Wen Yufeng to the side.

Just inside the school gate stood a large locust tree that would take several people to hug around. Qin Qing pulled Wen Yufeng behind the tree and peeked out to look beyond the school gate.

Amused by her actions, Wen Yufeng leaned in close and whispered in her ear.

“Who are you looking for, Tian Tian?”

“…”

Focused on the gate, Qin Qing was startled by the sudden warm breath and intimate nickname, causing her to instinctively jump away.

But Wen Yufeng had anticipated this and quickly pulled her back.

—Whether intentionally or not, she ended up in his arms, with his back pressed against the locust tree.

The pain in his back didn’t even make him flinch. After steadying himself, he lightly licked the roof of his mouth, his eyes narrowing dangerously.

His voice was low, tinged with a laugh.

“Careful not to get caught, little classmate.”

“…”

The faint scent of mint and tobacco filled the air. Feeling the heat radiating from his white shirt against her cheek, Qin Qing’s delicate, pretty face turned bright red.

She quickly stepped back, her gaze wavering slightly as she looked up at him.

Seeing the increasingly dangerous look in his eyes, Qin Qing almost wanted to flee.

But remembering that her bag was still in his possession, she forced herself to stay and softly pleaded with him—

“Wen Yufeng… Can you please give me back my bag? I need to find my brother.”

“…Tsk.”

Wen Yufeng’s eyes darkened as he bent down slightly, staring straight at her. “You know, this isn’t the best time to mention another guy in front of me, right?”

Qin Qing blinked.

After a few seconds, she slowly shook her head.

Her innocent, defenseless look made Wen Yufeng’s eyes grow so dark they could almost drip ink.

But when he looked into her clear, bright eyes, he could only let the anger simmer inside him, like a wild beast clawing at him, but he forced himself to suppress it.

After a long moment, Wen Yufeng finally calmed down and raised his eyes.

He held the bag out in front of her.

Qin Qing’s face lit up with joy, and she reached out to take it.

But just as her delicate fingers were about to touch the strap, he pulled the bag back again.

Looking up at him, she saw his lips curl into a smile as he said, “I already sent Li Xiang and the others away, and now you’re going to make me go home alone?”

Qin Qing paused, thinking about it. She realized he had a point and felt a bit embarrassed.

“But my brother doesn’t like me hanging out with you. If he sees us, then…”

“In that case, as compensation, call me something.”

Wen Yufeng’s lips curved slightly.

Qin Qing hesitated for a moment, lowering her head.

Seeing her looking like a little rabbit trapped under a tiger’s paw, Wen Yufeng’s heart softened.

He chuckled softly, “Never mind, go ahead—”

“Yu… Yu-ge.”

Her soft, sweet voice suddenly rang out.

It was a little shaky, too.

The tips of her ears, peeking out from her hair, were tinted pink.

“…”

Wen Yufeng froze for a second.

When he came to, the tiger in his eyes almost couldn’t resist swallowing the little rabbit whole.

…Damn.

Wen Yufeng cursed inwardly.

All he wanted now was to pin her against the big locust tree behind them… and kiss her until she couldn’t speak.
