Chapter 82: End Of The Spar
Chapter 82: End Of The Spar
The referee gave a slight nod. "Alright then you can start. Just remember, do not go for lethal attacks..."
The referee himself would be powerless if they decided to go full power to kill each other. He took a step back and left their vicinity.
Lukas looked at the General calmly. In physical strength he might be stronger than the General slightly but that did not matter. His real strength lay in his other stats.
Core stats consisted of everything, from stamina, defense, agility etc.. so even if he had never trained as much as a military veteran, he was not totally hopeless either.
Just as he was thinking about it, the general moved. He did not use any spell. It was a direct dash towards Lukas.
Lukas maintained his calm as he could see his opponent’s movement clearly. The moment he felt the need to move he stepped back but suddenly he saw a water ball appear in the general’s hand and the general instead of continuing his dash towards him, stopped and took a step back too to create some distance.
Lukas understood that he had fallen for the trap. Instead of panicking, he immediately used Sanctified Pulse. Seeing that water orb, it was given that it was not some defensive skill, which meant that the general had to face the brunt of his spell head on.
Sanctified Pulse was instant, unlike the movement of the general’s hand as he aimed it towards Lukas.
The ten meters area was brightened in its own luminance and the general immediately trembled.
"Ughhh.." The impact of a rare skill even when it was a domain type and only half effective against humans, was enough to hurt a level 3 evolver.
It was also enough to make him lose control over his own spell due to sudden shock and Lukas did not let go of this chance.
He immediately dashed and closed the distance before grabbing the arm which was extended somewhat towards him and flung the general up and slammed him on the ground.
THUDDD!
"Ufff.." The General felt wind escape his lungs as his back touched the ground with immense speed.
All this while Lukas had not removed his domain skill so the situation of the general was deteriorating further...
"I-I concede.." The general could feel that the longer he stayed in this luminance, the more pain and damage he would feel, so right now being pressed on the ground by Lukas was the worst situation for him.
Lukas stopped his spell and pulled him up. "It seems I got you by surprise.."
He indeed did. His domain skill was not something which anyone could dodge once they were in its range, so not knowing about it must stun everyone who faced it.
"You sure did... heheheh. It is really a rare skill, a domain huh.." The General smiled in satisfaction even when he lost.
In the end personal strength did not matter much in this world. When hordes of zombies attacked then proper teamwork was what mattered the most.
Others who were watching the spar got stunned. Finally someone beat the general. This was a totally unexpected result for them.
"Damn, that spell was domain type. I want him in my team badly.." One of the evolvers could not help but spoke out loud.
"Dream on. With his strength, he would rather make his own team than join yours.." Another snickered.
Leah and others were in a shocked state too.
"A domain skill of light element. I can already imagine the effect it would have on dead walkers.." Leah sighed in amazement.
"No wonder he is level three. It was very easy for him to farm crystals.." The man with long hair nodded.
"It is good that we are a little acquainted with him. It will be easy to become friends.." The woman beside them said with a smile.
Lukas would definitely be approached by many evolvers for good bonds. Some missions required a specific type of team and it was common to have some other members join your team to get it done.
Last time when they met with Lukas and his group, they had brought another member for a specific reason.
Leah nodded too. "Indeed, I will try to talk to him about it.."
...
The General looked at Lukas and smiled. "It is really reassuring to have you in this shelter.. what is your name?"
"Lukas.." Lukas answered calmly.
The General nodded and looked at the others standing around them. "From now on Lukas would have five votes. That is equivalent to me in status." He turned around and faced Lukas. "My name is Victor Hayes. You can just call me General Victor.."
"Alright General Victor.." Lukas nodded calmly.
Victor smiled. "Come with me. I will explain how everything works around here..."
Lukas thought for a moment and looked at Catherine. He saw that the others from her previous shelter were near her so he nodded to her to take care before walking beside Victor.
Victor took him for a walk and while walking he explained everything. How they gathered food, how they looked for more survivors and how they went and hunted dead walkers.
Everything was done in a systematic way and teams were designed according to the difficulty of the mission.
Most of the evolvers had already made a default team with each other. This team was because they knew each other due to surviving together before making their way here.
There were high chances that other people like them might arrive to this base again, since it was the safest choice.
That would make this base even further strong and that was what they needed the most.
Currently they were discussing about hunting down the level 4 dead walker when Lukas arrived.
After Victor mentioned everything he stopped and looked at Lukas. "The decision still has not been made so let us go to the council and decide it... also do not tell me that you are not interested in the council.
It is an important place since the decisions made there can make this shelter stronger or break it completely. You have a good mind, so help me..."
